Having finished for the day, Sephora had decided to go on a walk. She had so much on her mind, the soft breeze was relaxing and helped her think.
The girl had become infatuated with Joar, yet had found herself kissing Nymn. One of them had to be put into the friend zone, and she knew who it must be. Though she didn't think her father would like him much, Sephora's feelings for Joar outshone her feelings for Nymn by far.
Pausing in the meadow that she had first met him, the pretty girl lay down and closed her eye in the waning light. She was so tired, it was so nice to relax. Yawning, Sephora stretched her legs and sighed, it felt so nice to be one with nature.
Shivering, Sephora opened her eyes. The light was gone and the moon sat high in the sky. She had falled asleep and it seemed the day had gone on without her. The blood red tank top she wore did not do much to keep the chill at bay, nor did the black yoga pants. She had left her shoes in her room, so her feet were bare and slightly damp with the approaching dew.
Standing, she stretched and shivered again, cold with the damp. Heading into the forest on her way back to campus, the girl listened to the wind. She could hear the voices of the trees, singing of the cool night and the fat worms that played around their roots. Night birds sang and owls hooted, the night was beautiful. Deep into the forest now, Sephora stopped. She didn't remember a birch tree on the way back to the school.
She was lost.
Placing a hand on the trunk of the birch, she spoke to it softly, asking where to go.
[glow=green,2,300]You are not safe on the ground, little human[/glow]
Shocked, she pulled her hand back from the bark. Looking around, she didn't see anything approaching, or hear anything for that matter. The owls had stopped, though, and the trees had stopped singing. Feeling slightly panicked, the girl moved to a heavier oak and climbed it, nestling into its protective branches.
"What is it?" Sephora asked, to no response.

The demon, Apollyon, looked around as he exited the dorms and headed out towards the grounds. He sniffed the air. The human body dulled his senses but he could still get some through and he smelt what he was searching for. He gave a malicious grin and headed out towards where the sent was coming from.
The sky was dark now but he had taken the precaution of making sure his entire entity was fully in this world before going after his prey. He looked from tree to tree knowing full well what they were thinking, as they bent away from him. Good, made things easier to get to what he was searching for.
The evil odor of his demonic entity seemed through the pores of this body's skin, that would prove a problem but no matter, strike quick and hard and break their spirits before they could unite against you. That would be how he would take over this world in the name of Hell.
He gave another grin, but oh how he wished to just come into this world in his normal form and be unstoppable but he was reduced to this weak and frail body. Oh well a necessary sacrifice for the greater evil and in the name of the demon lords.
He sniffed the air again. He was getting closer he knew it, and savored the thought of the preys blood on his hands, oh the sweet taste of blood on his lips. Human blood which was the most delicious of them all. Oh yes, he would love this and everything that came with his prey's death.

Sephora wasn't sure what was going on. Closing her eyes, she listened for a sound from the plants or animals, but there was only silence. Not even a nightly hoot from an owl. Deciding that something was wrong, Sephora began to make her way slowly back to campus.
The tree had told her it was not safe on the ground, so the girl made her way from tree to tree, growing each one until a sturdy branch touched another sturdy branch.
[glow=green,2,300]he's coming[/glow]
The girl paused. She didn't know what that meant, or who 'he' was. Surely the trees were wise, but why would the mighty entities be afraid of anything short of a lumberjack? Pausing to catch her breath, Sephora saw something very odd. Through the many branches in front of her, a tree was bending. Two in fact, in opposite directions, as if they were trying to keep away from something.
Bending to see what was down there, Sephora lost her balance. At the same moment, a slumbering squirrel awoke and began to chitter loudly, running all over her body. Trying to swat it off, it shouted at her mentally,
[glow=brown,2,300]GET OUT OF HERE TREE-FRIEND, GET OUT![/glow]
The creature seemed so panicked, but the girl had not time to consider it. She fell from the tree and bit her lip to keep from crying out. Catching a branch ten feet above the ground, the squirrel tried to pull her back up. A branch sprouted from the side of the tree and Sephora rested her feet on it, climbing back into the tree. She was sure whatever the trees were bending from had heard her and terror gripped the girl's heart.
Peering once more, ignoring the squirrel as it tried to pull her into its tiny home, she saw what appeared to be a boy. He was moving towards her and the trees were bending away. Was it. . no, it couldn't be. Sephora's gorgeous face scrunched up as she peered ahead. Joar?

He looked around. The demon wanted to find the prey and kill it, mercilessly and agonizingly to prolong death and reap the joys that would come along. He smelt the air again and knew he was close, REALLY close.
He looked around as he continued to walk and heard a rustle and crash in the trees. He looked over and up into it seeing a pair of bare legs. He gave a grin inwardly and a smile on the outside. What was the girl's name? Apollyon thought as he broke the mental blocks of the boys mind and shifted through the information.
After a few seconds he found the name. Sephora. A name that would be heard here for a long time for her death. This would be oh so fun. But first he had to get her out of the tree without raising suspicion.
He gave her a smile and walked to the tree. "Sephora, can you come down here for a moment, I have something important to tell you, and I know thats you, I never forget such beautiful legs as yours." He said giving a smile sounding and speaking exactly like the gypsy boy. If only she would take his hand the 'fun' would begin.

"Sephora, can you come down here for a moment, I have something important to tell you, and I know thats you, I never forget such beautiful legs as yours." It was Joar, she had been right. Something was wrong, though. The tree had leaned away from him as he had come towards her and the squirrel held tight to her hand though it no longer moved or made any noise. There was a smell, too, though she couldn't put her finger on it.
"Joar, what a relief. I thought it was someone else." She didn't say how she had known someone was there. Sephora had never told the boy how she could communicate with the plants and animals, but that was how she had known someone was there. Peeling the frightened squirrel off of her hand, she began to climb down.
Looking back to Joar, she stopped. The oak she was in had begun to scream. She didn't know why, but the sound pierced her mind and nearly made her topple over. She was only about two feet away from his outstretched hand, but for the first time the girl got a good look at him since he had come to the tree. He looked completely normal, but the odd smell had intensified as she had gotten closer.
"Sorry," she said with a pretty smile in her tiliting accent, "something about the night has me on guard." The screaming had stopped, replaced with a hushed chant as if from a million voices only for her to hear,
[glow=green,2,300]run little human, hide little human, run little human, hide little human, run little human, hide little human[/glow]
Looking once more at Joar, Sephora knew that she could trust him. After all, she had been thinking of him lately and had decided that she truly was infatuated with him. Running a hand over the bark of the tree, the girl spoke softly, "They are frightened." Looking back to the boy, she smiled at him, "We should get back to campus, something is wrong with the night. Talk to me while we walk."
Reaching out to take Joar's hand, an owl screamed to the night in mourning as the trees began to wail.

[All Godmodding in this post has been okayed by Sephora]
In his mind he grinned maliciously. Foolish girl, your day of reckoning has come and you have chosen poorly, should have ran when you had the chance but that would only prolong the inevitable. He thought as he looked at her as she spoke. Something was spooking the trees and he knew it was him, the potent demonic aura was flooding out of him as he was too powerful to be inside such a weak body.
He took her hand as they walked and gave a smile. "Yes, lets go back to the campus, maybe there is something we can do together there." he said still holding the smile.
It was about one mile from the campus and after they had walked a good quarter mile or so he felt the trees and animals becoming more agitated and in a fury with the two of them. He knew not what they said but he knew the body language they spoke.
He looked to her as she held his hand. He then took a good look at her, soft long brown hair, tan skin and a slightly toned frame, she also wore a blood red tanktop and black yoga pants all close fitting showing her curves. Very seductive even for a human was all he could comment about the outfit.
Sephora had then looked around with a quizzical look. "Where is Loiosh?" she asked and he just stopped and gave a malicious grin. "In Hell, along with your dear Joar. Oh but don't worry, you will see them sooner then you think now." He said as his brown eyes became encased in red flame that spouted out and above the eye socket.
He then took his hand from her and made a wind up with his right hand and turned it to a fist and struck her quickly without her even putting up a guard and sent her flying across the path striking a tree and crumpling to the ground. "Foolish little girl, you should have ran when you had the chance...Now prepare to die." He said as he walked to her and took her by the hair and struck her stomach.

Nymn had walked from the pond to the campus, he was pretty relaxed as he looked up towards the sky looking at the clouds as they changed colors in the setting sun. It would be dark before he got back but he would take the colors the clouds gave him and relax. Today he wore a white dress shirt and a splash of tan and dark brown cargo pants.
When darkness finally fell he saw the main entrance to the dorm building and a boy walked out of it and moved intently and deliberately to something out in the woods. He felt a cold chill run up his spine that made the hairs on the back of his neck stand on end.
Something was off about that boy and he wanted to know what. He decided to follow him. He moved from tree to tree. Moving about 10 feet for every 30 of the other boys. He didn't know what the boy was doing but he seemed to concentrated to see him or hear him.
After awhile though he lost the boy behind some of the trees. He ground his teeth and looked around trying to get through the trees to pick up the trail. If only he could find out how to get around them without alerting any attention to himself.
After a minute he decided to screw it and climb to a branch and swing through the clump of trees landing in the grass and looked around, good the boy wasn't around but now he hand to go find him.
He gave a sigh and picked up the pace. After about 30 seconds he hadn't seen the boy, he must have turned and now Nymn was lost and couldn't find the boy. He gave a sigh. If only he could find something like a clue to the boys whereabouts or even getting back to the campus and give up this fruitless search.

Sephora smiled uneasily as Joar helped her down then took her hand. He seemed himself, but still, something was wrong. As they walked, a feeling of dread settled upon her shoulders like a death shroud, bittering everything around her. The trees had stopped wailing after she climbed down, but they had begun whispering once more, too softly for her to hear.
Suddenly Sephora realized that something else was wrong. The demon that Joar always had with him, Loiosh, was missing. She stopped walked and loosened her hand in his, but Joar did not let go. "Where is Loiosh, Joar?" Sephora asked softly, a look of understanding dawning on her face. Joar had seen he had gone to a demon plane for Loiosh, and after having seen how much Sephora had liked the winged creature, might he have gone back for another? The boy seemed the type to do something like that.
"In Hell, along with your dear Joar. Oh but don't worry, you will see them sooner then you think now." Opening her mouth to scream, the girl felt his hard fist slam into her stomach after his eyes had burst to flames. She felt something crack, probably a rib. She felt a similiar crack on the other side of her body when she hit the tree.
Trying to crawl up the tree, Sephora looked up in terror as the demon walked towards her maliciously, gripping her hair. "Foolish little girl, you should have ran when you had the chance...Now prepare to die." Sephora realized what she had done. She had let her emotions for Joar overcome her judgement and the warning from the trees. If she lived, the girl vowed to never let emotion take control again.
Thought was scrambled as the fist connected with her stomach. She lost her breath, the blow was harder than any she had ever taken or seen given. She tasted the copper of blood, something inside must have torn from the hit. He pulled back to hit her once more, and Sephora sent out a mental plea to the forest. . . if only it could do something.
In what seemed a rush, every bird in the vicinity took wing. The moved silently, without warning. Owls, hawks, even finches, all of them aiming at Joar's head and eyes. In the momentary distraction, Sephora mustered up what strength she had and bit him, hard, on the hand. Pulling her hair free, she tore away from him, moving as fast as she could with a torn organ and two broken ribs. She headed for campus, the only place she might find some safety. The professors all had Qi, and they would be able to protect her.
Turning back to see what was going on, three wolves and a badger had joined the assault on the demon. As her feet hit the earth, rows of thorny bushes sprouted behind her, mixed in with thick sprouts of mangroves.
The girl's body ached and she wasn't moving terribly fast, but she hoped it was enough.
((OOC: She has been out of the demon's grasp for about five seconds))

He looked around in bewilderment as birds and animals attacked him. This was a minor set back, but only minor. They clawed at his head and face trying to puncture something but to now anvil. He then grinned as the animals drew closer. He gave a sinister laugh and held out one hand and forced it down to his side.
Instantly a ring of flame leaped from his body turning over and over again like one of those machines astronauts use for training. It burned and singed the animals and ground that came near him.
The girl had bitten him during the fray and ran off but not for long, she was injured and licked the blood from his bitten hand. That sweet taste of blood. Always a delicious taste. He gave another laugh and moved towards her burning the thorn bushes as he walked, the ring of fire still activated and making a path for him to walk through. He had many minor scratches and bruises from the animal attacks and a rather bad bite from the girl.
But she was stumbling now as she could hardly run. He reached down letting the ring drop and grabbed her ankle. He pulled her back along the ground and lifted her into the air upside down. "Well little girl, it looks like your simple attack was unsuccessful. Merit to the fact you tried, more then the fight your Joar put up, after all he just cried like a child as he was take from his body to be given to the Pit Lords, but you will see that in good time." He said with a grin and swung her letting her back hit the tree, but still holding her in his hands.
He didn't know how long the girl had left in her, human bodies and human souls were different and could take different levels of pain before being broken, how much she could take he did not know but would use this last attack to send her to Adramelech for the sweet torture he would bring her.
Throwing her to the ground about 10 feet away, letting her head hit first and releasing her he started creating a fireball about 5 feet in diameter above his head in which he would slam into her. It finished quickly and he hurled it at her letting her burn to death if she survived the impact.

Nymn continued to search for the boy, the bad feeling was beginning to lift and the hairs on the back of his neck began to settle down. This wasn't good since this meant the boy was far away from him now or it meant he wasn't scared anymore. He didn't know which but he hoped it was the latter.
He continued to scan and search the woods but to no anvil. He just couldn't find the boy. He gave a sigh and decided to head back to the campus when he saw a bright coming aways off, looked like fire but he wasn't sure. Who would be camping out here this late at night? He thought as he started moving towards the light.
He breathed lightly now, trying to keep as quiet as possible. The light seemed to move as he neared it. Nymn held his breath as he heard animal screams and the sounds of whooshing fire.
His breath caught in his lungs and throat as he peered through the brush. Sephora was on the ground, obviously hurt bad. There was also a boy near her. The hairs stood up again. It was the boy he was following, and he had a huge fireball above his head. This would go from bad to worse in .01 seconds flat.
Sephora seemed to be struggling to get up and then he saw the boy throw the fireball at her. His blood pumped, his body reacted without thinking. One second he was hiding behind some bushes, the next he was over Sephora, arms wrapped around her and pushing the shield to meet the fireball. He felt the blow slam into his back the heat never touched him as it rolled over the luminous glow of his shield.
He gave a heavy, choking breath as the air escaped his lungs. He gave a staggered breath and looked at Sephora. She seemed pretty banged up as blood trickled out of the corner of her mouth. "Are you alright?" he said barely above a whisper.
He didn't know if she was alright or not but either way, he had said he would protect her and he had done what he could when he knew about it. He turned to the boy who had thrown the fireball. Now however, was his time to prove it. Prove to the world he could protect someone and not let them die. He had to, for his sanity and her life he had to...His eyes cold and his face as if made of stone ran towards the boy. He would be justice, he would be retribution, and he will die trying to uphold those thoughts.

As Sephora began to slow from the pain in her lungs, she felt in immense heat behind her. Unable to move any farther, she leaned against a tree and started to weep. Her life couldn't end like this, taken by a boy who had been possessed by a demon. A boy that she had been falling for.
"Well little girl, it looks like your simple attack was unsuccessful. Merit to the fact you tried, more then the fight your Joar put up, after all he just cried like a child as he was take from his body to be given to the Pit Lords, but you will see that in good time."
Complete loathing for this creature tok over Sephora's body. She was no longer frightened for her life, but she felt sadness for Joar's spirit. What he must be going through had to be worse than anything she had ever experienced. With that, the demon slammed her into a tree and she felt another rib crack. Tears leaked down her face as Sephora tried to keep from crying out. She wouldn't give him that satisfaction. Spitting in his face, Sephora said, "You disgust me. You won't make it in this world, you monster."
Flying from his hands, Sephora hit the ground with her arm twisted under her and she felt her elbow snap. Her eyes closed as a large fireball was being formed and the demon hurled it at her.
"Are you alright?"
She wasn't dead? Opening her eyes, Sephora saw Nymn's face. What was he doing here? Unable to speak from the pain, she just looked at him. The boy turned and faced the demon.
Pulling herself up as best she could, Sephora dug her toes into the earth and spoke to the trees. She needed more help.

Lunari for the most part had been snoozing in the tree all day. A few branches here or there had fallen on her head and body throughout the afternoon, but nothing in real particular had really woken or even aroused her for that matter. Nope, just another day at 650, along with the trees, the sun, and...the moon? She looked up, a beautiful cresent lay overhead, and the sun wasn't far off, setting, but delivering the warmth and serenity she so desperately longed for at this school. But all things aside...something was becoming increasingly wrong with this picture. Certain elements of what could be described as this childs picture were horribly out of place. She listed them in her head...
The birds were gone, the clouds were coming in...the air was becoming...cold, dull and dead. Now, after several hours in the tree, she had awoken, and since jumped down. Nothing like this usually ever happened unless there was a good reason. She checked her MAC for anomolies in the school. Solaris was fine, and so was The Doctor...nothing wrong with the technology...so what was it? She took off her glasses...and automatically her eyes became bright orange. Looking around, there was an interesting lack of lanent Qi in the air, a rare occurance...but that didn't explain her feelings...consulting Luna, she found nothing wrong there either, or with the lunar Qi patch on her shoulder.
Almost immediately after her thoughts, the loud screeching and tearing of voices filled the sky...animals...but why? Lunari now had her scythe on her back, walking toward the noise. The air was dead at this point, and something smelled really quite odd. And finally, her questions were answered. A student attacking two others, and with powers he shouldn't even have...that was one hell of a fireball. Even Alex Hikari couldn't pull that, so what the hell was going on? None the less, Lunari reacted quickly, staking her scythe in the ground in a patch of moonlight, and throwing off her cloak, she made an extremely swift dash to the boy, Joar, and charging a burst of energy in her left hand, drew it back.
"Stop this now!" She yelled as a teacher, not knowing the full extent of what was going on. Her eyes detected the boys central Qi reserve, which was...empty somehow. Completely empty. But with no choice but to try to stop him, slammed her palm one inch from the boys chest. "Qi Spike!" The energy from her hand was unloaded in an instant, a driving blow to his center.

I smell it.... it smells like I do.... I should follow this thing.
He changed his appearance very little, he wasn't able to use his Qi very well in daylight, afterall. He managed to hide his fangs, make his ears regularly shaped, and his eye color was turned blue. His hair was it's normal bleached white, lengthy on the top and back, but short on the sides. Not gelled into a mohawk like he had done into the past, but let freely go where it may.
He was walking and listening in the best he could, apparently this thing was from hell. A possession. This one was different though, he thought he heard that there was no human soul in that body at all.
So... thats it then. A demon in a human body. I remember those days, when I was not one, but two. When I was.... alive.
He stood against a tree in the distance watching the spectacle, the fireball, the brave man who came to save the girl, followed by someone who seemed to have a lot of power.
"Such... power...." he thought, thinking up a fake name he could give them should they meet. It would be his daytime name. Marquise was a good enough name, but he much preffered that name at night time, in his true brilliance. What name might he give... his old one? No... much too common. He would think more on this later.
They are attacking this evil thing. Do they not like evil things? Am I evil? It's all point of view. I kill, but so does a soldier. I try not to kill if I can, of course, but sometimes the blood lust gets me carried away.
The boy stood there in old clothes, leaning against the tree, sniffing the air to see if he could get the intoxicating smell of fresh blood. He wouldn't become hungry till night since he had fed on the way to the school, but a little smell couldn't hurt.
"Let's see what we have in store shall we?" The boy slowly walked closer to the scene to get a good look, listen, and smell. He wasn't very good at either of those things yet, his senses were still the same as a mortals.

Sephora's chest began to tighten. She could feel the slow drip of blood into her lungs. A tree sprouted from her Qi and she clutched it, the tree pulling her up with her left arm, her right elbow shattered. Someone else had arrived to help Nymn and the girl prayed that the demon in Joar had forgotten about her.
Crawling past the tree, she drew another tree to cling to, not caring who could see her Qi for once. Collapsing, she began coughing and by the end of the fit her hand was covered in blood. This was bad.
The world began to grow fuzzy from the pain pulsing through her body. Closing her eyes, Sephora pushed the blackness away. If she fell asleep and was forgotten in the battle, death could grow closer than she wanted to.

Apollyon had thrown a fireball at Sephora but something, a body, flew across the path and took the blow, only he didn't die from it. Very troubling, but no matter he would kill them both.
The person who had took the blow staggered up and turned to face him and attempted to attack. The boy was letting anger and fury fill his thoughts. It made him careless but he would toy with the boy until the boy tired and he could take them out at the same time.
He turned to Sephora who was slumped by a tree with mass amounts of blood around her mouth and hand. She was dying, good, his plan was working. But then something else came out of the darkness.
He never got a good look at the person as he only heard the words "Qi Spike" before being hit in his chest by a centrifical force. He swayed back a bit, it hurt a bit and he could feel a rather large bruise form on his sternim.
He looked at the two. One seemed much stronger then the other obviously but both had a strong presense no doubt about that, but he could win, if he played his cards right. "Well well well, looks like the little girl got some help. No matter, I'll kill you all slowly and give you to the pit lords." he said with a grin and laugh and threw small fireballs at the ground of the older girls feet.
