It probably hadn't been one of her best idea's. Her body was not built for climbing into trees, nor was she able to see where she was going in the branches. Terrene may have over looked one important detail.
She was blind.
However, living in a cloudy sightless way, 24/7, it was easy to forget the little things that you just could not do, unless you wanted to risk breaking a bone or two. A habit that perhaps it was best for her to break away from, however hard it might be. Everyone must have something they wished to do in life that might have seemed impossible...she'd heard of blind people writing entire books, swimming the english channel. So why shouldn't she be able to climb a tree. Where was the harm?
Her excuse? She had none. Only an illogical desire to know what the top of a tree felt like, and maybe feel about for a flower head that she could put into her album of many things.
Someone could have told me tree branches were so thin. The thought irked her. It had been her own fault; she should have asked someone if the tree of her desires was suitable for climbing. She had reached the branches a little too late to realise that they may not be able to take her weight. However, being stubborn, she lowered herself carefully onto the thickest branch she could feel for, and slowly shuffled across it, enjoying the vulnerable feeling of not knowing where anything was below her feet, or how high she was from the floor. Being able to relax for a moment.
"Oh...how do I get down?" Her eyes ventured towards the ground, looking without seeing. Could she risk simply dropping down? She'd soon find out how high she was.
No. This hadn't been a good idea.

The boy had been under the tree for quite a few hours now. He had been cloud gazing the entire time until a short hour ago when he decided to take a small rest. He wore the usual white dress shirt and cargo pants and tennis shoes. His cross and necklace lay softly on his collar bone as he slept. His black and red hair was scattered across the ground around him.
Despite his appearance his mind was a troubled one, constant flashes and violent emotions of that fight he had with the boy Joar, well not really Joar, it was more Apollyon in the boy's body. But still, he had to fight it. But the fight replayed in his mind, the only difference, every end was different. Some he would win the fight without a scratch on him. Some he would lose and the demon would kill Sephora and Miss Lunari. Others he would become the demon and kill everyone. These had been his dreams for weeks now and he didn't think they ever would stop.
He tossed and turned as he slept, dreaming the nightmares of his darkest fears, struggling to wake up. He then heard a soft snap above his head and awoke with a relieved breath as the nightmares were over. He was still roughly drowsy of course making his vision blurry. He didn't know what had made the sound or cared what did, at least he was awake now. But even in the bliss of consciousness his heart pounded in his temples and small beads of sweat dripped from his forehead. He wiped them off with a sleeved hand and looked straight ahead towards the pond where he had first met Sephora.
He gave a soft smile, not really at anything in perticular just a empty smile at nature. He brought a soft hand to his head as he now started to feel a small tension of a headache. Probably from the nightmares he had. He then heard another crack of a branch. "Huh?" he said to himself barely above a whisper.

Terrene was comfortable. Alright the branch wasn't as smooth as she had liked...the bark dug into her legs a bit, but she was comfortable in her perch, happily swinging her legs against the air. To try her luck, she shifted a bit, un-intentionally moving towards the weaker, thin part of the branch.
Her actions caused a small cracking sound, her head whipping towards the sound instantly. It hadn't been loud, and by its volume, proably nothing to worry about, however just to be on the safe side, she ran her fingers acros the branch, searching for a break, though found none. Assuring herself that she was safe, Terrene shifted just a bit more to stop a sharp point on her branch from digging into the back of her knee.
Which apparently had been a bad idea. As she settled into a comfy position, another crack had reached her ears, this time louder, a second warning too her to stop moving. She wanted to get down, her experiment over, however she had no idea of how to do this, and she did not want to just jump down at all. Huffing, she let her gaze fall onto about the place of the splintering wood of her branch, waiting for another crack.
Instead, her ears picked up a soft 'huh?' If she hadn't been listening so intently, she probably would have pushed it to one side, thinking it only the wind. However, with her sharpened hearing, she could tell it had been a voice, located directly below her. Panic inspired her next descision of shuffleing along the branch.
Snap.
It didn't take a genious to realise the sensation that pushed against her side. Terrene was falling, and it wasn't a plesant feeling. She flailed her arms, probably in an attempt to fly. Thankfully the sensation had been short lived as something...fairly soft broke her fall.

He shook his head, it was probably nothing. Or so he thought until he heard a final crackling snap. That, in itself spelt trouble for him. He dared to look up as all he saw was something rather large fall from above him. It was something teal looking and it washed across his vision as it came readily closer to him.
"God dammit." Was all he could say before the impact came. The weight landed directly onto his chest, which at the angle he had been at would suggest it was rather difficult. He let out a low 'Oomf' sound as the weight hit him. It knocked his body back linear to the ground, head smacking it rather hard and the air inside his lungs escaped in a violent rush.
After what seemed like an hour he attempted to push himself back up. At least to be resting on his elbows to see what the object was. It was someone, he knew that now by looking at the clothes it wore, and that it was a girl since it seemed to be a girl in a dress of some sort.
He positioned himself to be leaning on the small of his back to keep himself up as he let his arms off the ground and took hold of the girl and pulled her gently off of him into a sitting position for her. He then sat up and shook his head putting a hand on the back of it where he had struck.
He looked over to the girl, and in a cool, but calm manner said, "Next time look before you leap alright?" he said as he still clutched his head. He would have a headache for the next few days, he knew that.

Nothing broken...nothing bruised. She seemed in one peice.
It took her a moment to compose herself before she realised that what she had been sitting on, had infact been moving and warm...suggesting that the thing that had broke her fall was living.
Terrene let herself be manouvoured until she was sitting comfortably. Yes, the solid ground was much better then an unsturdy branch. Blinking, she remembed what she had fallen onto and quickly righted herself to face the now winded man, eyes wide as she realised what she had just done.
She went to apologise, her face the picture of concern as her hands fluttered uselessly, not quite sure what to do with herself, however he beat her to the punch.
"Next time look before you leap alright?" Her shoulders drooped as her eyes wandered to the floor. She decided against pointing out that would be quite hard for her to do, instead opted for making an excuse for herself. "I didn't mean to fall...the branch felt sturdy enough," she mused, seeming almost as if she was talking to herself. "Oh! Are you alright? It sounded like you hit your head pretty hard..." Again her face was alive with concern for the main victim of her fall.

He looked at the girl as she started to fuss over what really was nothing, he had taken worse hits...In his dreams. But still her fall had been nothing other then just surprising. She however didn't seem to be looking at anything in perticular, as if she was trying to focus on something she thought was there but wasn't.
Personally he liked people to look him face to face when they talked but he remembered some people where extremely shy so they always looked away in embarassment, but no matter. She went on to say that she didn't 'mean to fall and that the branch felt sturdy enough.' But feeling isn't the same as seeing, just because you feel something is right you have to see that its right too. He didn't know if she knew that concept but he at least hope she did.
No sooner had he finished his thought did she somewhat randomly explode with concern for him. Asking if he was alright and saying it sounded like he hit his head rather hard. While that was true he had taken worse. Much worse. "Yes, I am fine, I've had worse and it really was just the surprise that took me not the hit." He said with a soft smile.
He never knew why he had it on but he always did. He guessed it was just a habit since he was little. He then looked at her. "Are you alright though? That was after all a nasty little fall, had to be about..." He trailed off as he looked where the branch now hung from a broken limb. "8...10 feet?" he half doubted what he said. He was never good at guestimations but he assumed it was about right.

Terrene relaxed a little as he confirmed he was alright, her hands folding in her lap so they weren't moving about aimlessly. "Thats good, as long as I didn't crush anything," she offered a smile, though her head had turned to one side, her sightless eyes directed towards another tree.
Her eyes had narrowed slightly as she scanned the area with a quick sweep of the vibrations. Her gaze fell towards another tree, contemplating having another go...but no she wasn't that stupid.
Turning back, her smile had turned sheepish, as she looked up towards the branch, pretending to see the damage she had done and 'judge' the height. Though the most she could do was to discreetly sweep her fingers across the tree trunk to absorb the information it had for her and to get a general idea of how the tree looked.
"Really? It didn't seem that high...I must have fell faster then I thought..." She chimed, playing with her sleeve. "I'm alright, just a tad embarrased," if possible her sheepish smile turned ever so slightly nervous, "Thankyou for breaking my fall..."
Terrene shifted, eyes once again going else where. "Oh...and sorry for falling on you," She mentally slapped herself for forgetting such simply mannerism.
Another habit it would be best for her to loose.

He gave another soft smile as the girl seemed to be still flustered after it and put her hands delicately in her lap. She had looked around and then up towards the tree, saying it didn't seem that high. He knew it was tall enough for him to jump and not be able to reach it so it had to be over 7 feet but he just didn't know how much higher then that it was.
Then she thanked him for breaking her fall. He couldn't help but stiffle a laugh. If only he had been awake he might have caught her and not damage his ribs anymore, they had JUST finished healing a week ago.
"Think nothing of it," he said with a smile still on his face. She then said she was sorry for falling on him. He just shook his head with the smile turning into a grin. "Its alright, don't worry about it." he said softly and looked back up at her. "So, whats your name, girl who has fallen from the heavens" he said jokingly.

He certainly was calm about her mishap, if it had been her, she had probably stalked off to sulk in her room at this point...or go see someone about her head...worried about concussion. But that was just her, and she did have a tendancy to worry just a bit.
Specially over cuts or bruises, concidering she could only slightly judge there size or there damage.
Terrene laughed at his joke, glad for a bit of humour. She felt tempted to point out that she 'crashed' rather then 'fell', but instead piped up with, "I'm Terrene Awren." Introducing herself, a large smile plastered to her face, a constrast to her previous nervous one.
"And the pillow that someone so nicely planted to cushion the fall? Does he have a name?" She asked, eyebrows raised as she stuck her hand out to shake, an expectant look in her eyes.

He kept his gaze and smile and listened to what she had to say. He heard her laugh which was a good thing, at least the girl had a sense of humor which is always nice for someone to have. He then looked up to her when she said her name.
Terrene Arwen...I bet that there is a 99% probability she is related to Miss Lunari. His Astrophysics teacher. When he looked up at her eyes though, his thoughts were only confirmed making it 100%. The eyes of an Arwen. But, there was a slight difference in her eyes. Something...off, they were glazed in a way, made dull orange instead of the characteristic vibrant orange of an Arwen.
He could not place where he had seen eyes like this before, the glazed part of it. He knew he had seen it in movies but didn't remember what it meant. But his thoughts were interrupted when she extended her hand and asked him what his name was. That he was a cushion someone had placed for her.
He looked at her hand and took it. "Nymn Farshaw, Miss Terrene, and if I may be so bold as to say, I believe I am a student on a family member of yours, Miss Lunari Arwen, am I correct in this?" he asked with a soft, nervous smile.

Nymn Farshaw...she committed the name to memory, making sure she wouldn't mix it around with other names which she did too often.
Lunari Awen..., if possible her smile only widened, she hadn't met most of her family for quite a while now, leaving an un-finished quest for her to do. The mention of Lunari only made her hopes that much greater. Perhaps a visit was in order.
She nodded at his question, reminding her self to bring the too excited expression on her face down a touch. "Yes! Yes, I am," she confirmed with much pride and love for her older sister. "She's my older sister...I wander how she is..." the last part she muttered to herself.
Wanting to know more, she shuffled a little closer, eager, "Is Lunari a good teacher? Is she strict? Or leniant?" Terrene asked, strumming her fingers across her knees. "I bet she's very good," she grinned, in effect answering her own question. Her eyes had focused straight on to Nymn, betraying her disability.

He gave a smile as her face seemed to light up like a light bulb at the mention of Miss Lunari. She said she was her sister. He blinked. Sister? So she is sisters with Miss Lunari? There had to be at least 15 years difference between the two of them.
She then started bombarding him with questions. Asking about Miss Lunari and how good of a teacher she was and what she was like. She was her sister and she didn't know what Miss Lunari was like? That was rather odd.
"Well she is nice, I've only been in one of her classes and she isn't too strict. Just, well watch out when she does demonstrations with the universe, I swear when the bright white light came I was trippin' balls." He said with a half laugh.
It was true. He had been trippin' balls, his eyes took a bit to polarize when it happened and he had the glare from the white light that had exploded without warning. "But, if its alright that I ask, if your her sister, why are you asking me about her? Shouldn't you know her?" He asked her softly.

Shouldn't you know her? Terrene nodded once, raising one of her hands to bite the tip of her thumb. She should know Lunari better, in that respect, it made her feel a little guilty. Huffing she made an excuse for herself, dropping her hand back into her lap. "It's been a while since I've seen her, she might have changed...growing up does that," she mumbled.
Shifting so that she sat cross legged, she gave a releived sigh as her one numb leg had the feeling run back into it. This also gave her the excuse to do something else with her hands, smoothing out her kimino across her lap, fiddeling with the beads that tied around her waist, that sort of thing.
"Plus, I've never had her as a teacher...It's hard too judge someone from there casual to professional personalities." Terrene stated, eyes traveling across the ground, listening to the tip tap of some small creatures journey across the grounds.
Clicking her tounge, she pushed her guilt aside and made a response to one of Nymn's earlier statements..."I don't think I'll be effected that much by bright lights. I'm safe."

When she spoke he nodded, she had some points in her answers. Being away for all that time it would give a different outlook on them since not only would they have changed but you would have changed. Also the fact that Miss Lunari would have become her teacher she would see her as something different.
He looked at her as she looked across the ground at something that didn't seem to be there. He gave a slightly skeptical look. He wondered what she was looking at and if she really was alright, maybe the fall had done more then she thought had happened.
She then turned back to him and said that she wouldn't be affected by the bright lights. What would she have? Highly polarized sun glasses? But once again he looked at her eyes and tried to think.
Glazed look but she was obviously all there, her gaze was always wandering and she wouldn't be affected by the lights. That was when it hit him. She was blind. He should have seen it from the beginning but he couldn't remember what the glazed look meant. "Oh... I'm sorry, I didn't know.." he said softly as he lowered his gaze to his feet.

Terrene went blank for a moment, remembering what she had said. What didn't he know? That Lunari had never been her teacher? Or that she hadn't seen her in a while? Still, there was no need to apologise for that...
She regarded Nymn silently for a moment, trying to think for a reason behind the apology, "Didn't know...what?" She asked tilting her head to one side. Her eyes narrowed, probably thinking too hard on something so small. "Oh! Oh...right, I get that a lot," she chuckled, shaking her head. "Don't apologise, its not your fault anyway." A smile pulled at the corner of her mouth, reasurring.
"I forget myself sometimes," She began, laughing at herself now. "It's easy to forget when you have your own way of seeing," Terrene lifted her hand, pointing to her ears. "Vibrations in the ground and sounds in the air, very useful, I can hear your pulse if I listen carefully enough." She chimed, proud of herself even after years of seeing through sounds and movement.
