"Closer to the north than the south. But it's still not to close to a border of any sort. It makes sense you aren't from anywhere near where I'm from. Your accent gives you away. It's a wonderful accent by the way, It doesn't surprise me that the most popular bits of singing are done from people that don't come from my area." Sephora smiled back at him and offered a laugh. She enjoyed european singers much better than american singers, he had struck a note of truth on that.
"Thankyou, Corgan, though I must say that you are the one with the accent." She smiled and winked at him.
"Still, I have to agree with you that Japan in nice enough. I would like to get out and see more of it before long. This place just gives me the creeps at times. Particularly that Solaris guy. Something about him just gives me the heebie-jeebies." She thought for a moment. "I have never had heebie-jeebies, but if I do then I shall inform you of it. I do not trust Solaris, though, I do not trust any of the faculty here. This is just a place of wait for me. Once I can return home, I shall, I miss my home. Do you miss yours?"

Corgan returned the smile she gave him and then shrugged when she asked him if he missed home. "Not really, I get attached to people, not places. As long as I can be with the people I have grown fond of, I could live pretty much anywhere I needed to. My family lives close so I could say hi and see them now and then." He replied.
He gave her a curious look. "So how long do you think you'll be here? I mean if this is just a place for you to wait at for a while, it can't be too long." He said.

"Not really, I get attached to people, not places. As long as I can be with the people I have grown fond of, I could live pretty much anywhere I needed to. My family lives close so I could say hi and see them now and then." Sephora nodded, though the idea seemed foreign to her. She missed her father, as well as the staff at their mansion. They were always so kind to her, and she had made friends with a few of the other kids her age while they had been allowed to play near there. They didn't come around anymore though, and she got lonely. That was a good thing about the school, she supposed, she was rarely lonely.
"So how long do you think you'll be here? I mean if this is just a place for you to wait at for a while, it can't be too long." She paused. Sephora really had no idea how long she would be here, there was no telling when her father would feel that home would be safe again. Probably once people forgot about her Qi and whose daughter she was. It could take months or it could take years. She may never be able to go home. "I do not know when I will be allowed to leave. It really depends on many factors of safety and human curiosity."

"Well hopefully we'll have the pleasure of your company for a while to come." He said as he stood up and stretched out a bit. This was normally the time of day that he started practicing his forms and other things. If he hadn't run into Sehpora he would have been training right now. It was a pleasant distraction, but he had a hard time sitting still right now.
"So whats this about safety and all that? Thing's not going well at home?" He asked.

"Well hopefully we'll have the pleasure of your company for a while to come." The young woman laughed slyly at that. The boy was a flatterer, of that she was sure. It did not dazzle her, though, for she was a princess in Armenia and had been around boys her own age before.
"So whats this about safety and all that? Thing's not going well at home?" She sighed silently and looked at him. Well, there was just no avoiding her origin. "My father is a very powerful man in Armenia. It is no longer safe for me to be at home, due to a few recent attempts on my life and for my kidnapping. It is safer for me to be here, away from that. It only helps that our teachers all have Qi." She waited to gauge his reaction.

"Damn, thats gotta suck. Well it looks like you got a great guy for a father to make sure you're safe. My own would be like that, but some father's wouldn't do that." He replied as he started going through some of his forms though he kept his attention on Sephora.
"I guess that is better than a bunch of bodyguards too. After all, you at least get some semblance privacy here." He said as he let his Qi flow through him, not focused on the jolts of lightning, but just flowing through his body for greater control.

The blond boy nodded to him acknowledging he was there but nothing else. The blond boy sat with the girl and talked. He just played the Syrinx as they talked for a few minutes before he turned back around slowing and softening the sound of the melody but still holding it. He had memorized it already so he could come back to it anytime but it was soft and harminous so he decided to keep on playing.
He looked to the winged creature and projected his thoughts to it. Go over there and eavesdrop on them, might as well get some useful information about the students here while I got nothing better to do. He thought to the creature. The creature snorted and a small puff of smoke came from its nose. Why do I got to be the sînge messenger boy?" he asked taking on one of the Romani words the boy used often.
The boy just grinned. Because your too small to be a delivery boy He said and played the syrinx softly closing his eyes and letting the soft twinkling beams of light hit him through the leaves. A permite art.hot. leaf a alerga pe wind şi ghid it la spre piersică He thought to himself. Let the leaf fly upon the wind and glide to harmony and peace.
His father had told him that before he had passed but that was words to live by. For the leaf lives its appointed time and does not struggle against the wind that carries it away. The leaf does no harm, and finally falls to nourish new leaves. It was what he had taken an oath to, however he had broken that oath a long time ago when he had struck a man who hurt his family. So he took up a variation of it. While he flies and soars like a leaf, it does not mean that leaf doesn't have thorns on it to defend itself when necessary.
He then focused back onto his music once he noticed he hit a slightly wrong note, just a bit too much onto it had caused him to be thrown off balance and had to start over. As he played, still ever so softly, like a melody barely heard upon the wind. The winged creature fed him the information from a tree branch above the two. Its scaly claws and leathery wings folded making it lighter and more concealed among the dark green leaves.

"Damn, thats gotta suck. Well it looks like you got a great guy for a father to make sure you're safe. My own would be like that, but some father's wouldn't do that." Corgan said this as he began to go through a semblence of movements and his skin seemed to glow with electricity. She sighed and dug her fingers into the ground, sort of bored.
"I guess that is better than a bunch of bodyguards too. After all, you at least get some semblance privacy here." She shrugged, looking around for something to grow. "It's not too bad, being surrounded by guards. They relish the trust that you must have in them, and so became as close to friends as I had. I miss them, to be honest." Especially Lars, the ruggedly handsome one that her father liked as well. Looking around, she saw a large tree as close to the meadow as could be. It was far into the open space, and she wondered that it had grown so big when the wild animals had trimmed all the other trees in the meadow, which is why it was a meadow in the first place. She reached to it through the soil with her Qi, and its leaves became greener as she rewarded the tree for having done well on its own. Something glinted on one of the branches and she squitned, trying to see what it was. The thing had not been startled away by the sudden change of leaves, and she decided that it was some sort of bird she had never seen before. "Do you see that?" She asked Corgan.
Sephora stood up, brushing the dirt off of her khaki bermuda shorts and walked towards the tree. She had a sort of affinity with birds and was interested to see what sort of bird would not shy away from a tree moving.

The winged creature shrank back as the girl below him looked up. His sage green scales and even darker forest green wings matched as closely to the leaves as possible. It climbed higher and higher into the trees. It's vision would be better then that of the humans and would definitely camouflage with the scenery.
Sînge iad, why do I always have to do this stuff? Can't you ever do it for once? The creature asked the boy. The boy just smiled and continued playing lightly. I'm occupied with my music, and since your always complaining about never having anything to do you can do this He thought. The creature puffed another bubble of whitish gray smoke from its nose. I'd rather be doing your sister. It said as a crude comeback.
The boy gave a mental glare at him. Linişte aripă unul or by the blood of my familia I will have your hide for my bow strings. He thought as he paused to recapture his tune. Well the girls tune but never the less. He was over protective of his sister, she was basically all the family he had now since his mother was a completely different person after his father died so he needed someone to care about. Just keep an eye on them and tell me everything they say He said picking up the tune flawlessly and continuing it on rhythm.

OOC: Sorry for the wait, Internet problems
Corgan gave a shrug in response to her reply. "I'll take your word for it. Maybe I'm just a little too independent to enjoy a bunch of people following me around. I like people, but I have mt limits." He gave a smile. "But the way you described them, I guess it would be pretty nice." He added.
His gaze followed Sephora's hand as she used her Qi, it wasn't combat based in any way. Corgan figured there would be a large amount of variety in Qi, but most of them had uses stemming from martial arts, or something the helped a person physically. But the way she used her Qi really stood out to him.
He looked over at the tree when Sephora asked him if he could see something, but all he caught was the slightest amount of movement. It seemed to be able to hide well in the trees. "I saw something move." He replied as he got up and followed her. "But either it's gone or it hides pretty well... Hey, with your Qi you could probably have the tree do something to flush it out, right?" He asked.

"I'll take your word for it. Maybe I'm just a little too independent to enjoy a bunch of people following me around. I like people, but I have mt limits." Corgan didn't sound convinced that having guards was nice, but it didn't really bother Sephora. She had known that not many others her age would really like a handful of adults watching their every move, but when one needed them for their protection, it was sort of reassuring. "But the way you described them, I guess it would be pretty nice." Sephora knew he was only saying this for her benefit, that the idea of guards wasn't that appealing. She smiled at him.
They looked up into the branches of the tree, but she couldn't see anything. It was a healthy thing, and the music had gotten louder upon their getting closer to it. Sephora recognized the melody, it was the lullaby she had been singing earlier. Peering into the trees, Corgan's words brought her back to reality, "But either it's gone or it hides pretty well... Hey, with your Qi you could probably have the tree do something to flush it out, right?"
Sephora looked at him and grinned. "I shall try." She said this, but knew that it was possible. Digging her toes into the earth, Sephora called to the tree through the soil that it was rooted in. Leaves opened and the mighty oak creaked and groaned as new bark formed and spread, branches shot out and the trunk grew taller. Something shimmered in the branches and she peered at it. "Let's go." She said to Corgan and gripped a low branch, starting the climb up.

Corgan couldn't help but simply stare wide-eyed at Sephora's ability. It really was something else. To be able to enhance life in such a way. He wondered if she could do something similar to a person with that ability. But it seemed to only effect plants from the way she used it. He would have to ask her about it some other time.
He gave a smile as she started to climb and said to follow her. Normally he would have jumped, but he didn't want to startle anything that was up there, so he started climbing. Wonder what that thing was, I only caught the slightest glimpse of it, and it wasn't any bird that I know of. He thought. Unless it was poisonous, the little critter he saw wouldn't be a threat, and he didn't know of any flying creature in this area that was poisonous, unless you counted insects, and this was no bug.

The boy looked up hearing rustling in the trees. fiu de un cîine înăuntru căldură, get out of there now. He told the winged creature as the leaves parted and the branches expanded. The winged creature clung to one of the branches as the two climbed up.
This wouldn't end well, at least if it was caught. The demon's eyes glinted in the soft rays of the sun. It then moved to the shadows of the other leaves and branches ever so silently and slowly you were barely sure it was moving. It braced its wings and tail closely to its body and moved towards the next tree. You know this would be alot easier to evade if I got some god damn assistance or at least a distraction. It said to the boy as it gripped a new branch on a new tree and continued to move.
The boy looked up as they continued to climb and shook his head. One second, I'll help you out from being captured. He said as he continued to play the syrinx and stood up. He walked out from behind the tree and looked up at the two letting the syrinx drop. "I wouldn't pursue it, he has a tendancy to bite when people get too close to him. He is a little territorial." The boy said. Come on, they won't capture you if your with me. He thought.
The winged creature dropped from the branch and flew over to him landing two taloned feet on his left shoulder. No one knew but he wore a leather shoulder pad as to protect himself from the claws. Not that those claws couldn't easily penetrate it but the winged creature gripped it lightly as to not penetrate it. It wrapped a long snake-like tail around his left arm. The yellow orbs of the demon's looked at the two humans that had pursued him.

They were so close, Sephora climbed towards where she had last seen the glint. She wondered why the bird hadn't flown off yet, most birds wouldn't tolerate a chase like this. Unless of course, it wasn't a bird. She stopped suddenly, having noticed a difference in the atmosphere. The music had stopped.
"I wouldn't pursue it, he has a tendancy to bite when people get too close to him. He is a little territorial."
She looked down and saw a cute skinny boy with a flute-like thing in his hands. Sephora grinned at Corgan and started to climb down. "Well, that answers what was in the tree." Once she got to the ground, she peered at the dragonish thing sitting on the boy's shoulder. "You have a very interesting friend there." She said with her silky accent.

Corgan looked down at the source of the voice and smiled. It was the guy he spotted a little bit away from them in the meadow. He jumped down and landed lightly then looked at the small critter that had landed on the boy's shoulder.
"Well isn't this little guy something interesting. Like something out of some fantasy novel or the like." Corgan said before he shifted his gaze back to the boy and held out his hand. "I'm Corgan, good to meet you and your little friend." he said.
