"Alright then." Lunari pulled down her bag slowly and set it off to the side of the ring. To be honest, she wasn't dressed properly for the occasion; she still donned her technology clothes set...tight fitting shirt, MAC glasses and all. She still even had her red beret on...donning the Chronos logo on the left side. She debated on taking off her glasses, but at the mention of the no Qi rule, decided against it. She was near blind without them now, unless she used the Eye's of Luna...which technically was a Qi power...she could ask, but then again, he was already ready, so it wouldn't have made a difference in the slightest.
Meanwhile, she'd set down her bags and stepped in ready to fight. Taking out some gloves, she slipped the half-fingers on, and got ready...
A tall, muscular fellow, likely more power-based, but none the less appeared quick on his feet for a student. Yes, this would make for an interesting little match. "My. You're a tall one." She mentioned, smiling. It wasn't in her nature to intimidate anyone at all, and she doubted a two foot difference would yield much a result. But now, it was time for a little match to relieve the pressure of teaching.
She bent her legs into a balanced stance, holding her left palm completely outstretched in front of her, the other facing out, and just off to her side. She was completely defended against most attack from an opponent of this size in this stance.
"Alright...it's your turn." She smiled, her eyes open wide through her glasses, like she was playing a game.

Alex immediately found himself facing the other way, when he had released Matrim's leg at the last second, Matrim had taken the opportunity to spin Alex around, and he had hooked his right arm underneath Alex's armpit. " Heh, if it's my best you want," Alex said, breathing hard, as Matrim released him, " Then that's what you'll get." Alex moved three steps forward, and turned to face Matrim, it was time to show Matrim what he was made of.
Alex got into his stance again, once again standing sideways, his legs spread apart shoulder-length, his left hand in front of his face, but his right hand was hidden by his body. Slowly, he was channeling the heat from his body into his hand, and the blows he had exchanged with Matrim made his body temperature slowly rise. As he stood there, concentrating, the heat had built up in his hand, all that was left was to have it take on a solid form and discharge it, but that would have to wait.
Alex immediately changed tactics, instead of Matrim coming to him, he would go to Matrim. He was mere inches away from Matrim which at that point he fired his left fist at Matrim's gut, his right hand still hidden by his body. Even if Matrim blocked his punch, Alex had a surprise for him. The heat now took on a solid form, about the size of a tennis ball. Alex then shifted his body to the left and fired the flame at Matrim's chest, where it would hurt the most upon contact. " You wanted my best, well here's a taste of it."

Matrim powered up his Qi ability. It was ready and done. All he needed was those three steps to break away and get the time to do it.
This battle could have been over if I turned it on while I had him in that hold. I'd rather think that he's too headstrong to submit though. I'd pray he is anyway, and that would mean I would have to seriously injure him, and if he becomes a gang leader with a broken body, that'd be bad reputation. Letting him go was the right choice... and Now it's time to lose this battle.... but, not without a fight. I just want to see his Qi, see if I can protect myself from whatever it may be.....
Those were his thoughts while letting Alex go, while Alex talked, and when he charged.
"You wanted my best, well here's a taste of it." Alex said throwing a punch.
"Too Easy," Matrim said blocking the punch easily, keeping hold of the fist, he wouldn't be able to hold it too awful much longer, but he'd definately get the point across that he wouldn't fall for such an easy punch.
Then the right fist came in fast and hot. Hot.... Heat....
"Fire...." Matrim said as the flame collided into his chest emitting a brilliant red glow. Matrim's T-shirt caught fire, and singed a bit, Matrim quickly turned patting the fire down with his hand, hiding his chest from Alex.
He quickly took the shirt off and threw it on the ground, stomping out the fire. He turned around revealing a perfectly unburnt chest, not even so much as a little red from the heat. The Qi Armor was fully activated, and working.
"That was my favorite shirt." Matrim said, stretching his arms, "Guess it's time to bring the heat."
Matrim charged, stopping short of the boy on his right foot, twisting his body quickly to the right to do a full 360, having attempted to deliver a roundhouse kick, making sure to aim a little low since Alex liked to dodge a lot. Afterwords he'd attempt to break into a normal boxing stance.

Alex, after delivering his flame punch to Matrim's chest, backed off about three steps and resumed his sideways stance. When Matrim threw his shirt off and stomped out the fire, he had turned to face Alex, revealing that his chest was completely fine. No burn mark. No problem. Alex concluded that Matrim's Qi power protected him from attacks, including Qi attacks, because no Qi would be able to heal the burn once Alex made contact with the person. The damage however, had been done. Even though the burn had healed, the pain would not go away, once someone had made contact with Alex's flame, even if the burn healed physically, the pain would not. Alex however, had only used his first level Qi, so the pain would only hurt a little.
"That was my favorite shirt. Guess it's time to bring the heat." How ironic. Alex, far from being scared, smiled slightly. " So bring it." Matrim then charged at him, stopping short, twisted his body to his right to do a full 360 and attempted to deliver a roundhouse kick. Delivery denied. Alex's right arm darted out, catching Matrim's leg, even though Matrim had aimed a little low. His leg in Alex's grip, Alex's hand began to heat up, he was concentrating the heat into his hand once again, his first attack had only used a small amount of heat.
He fired his left arm into an uppercut, which was merely a distraction, his concentration was on his right hand, His hand glowing orange-red, Alex tightened his grip on Matrim's leg, and discharged the flame, burning Matrim's leg. He continued to hold onto Matrim's leg, the flames engulfing the spot, and only the spot where Alex's hand was. He pulled his left arm back, close to his chest, as a defense measure.

The flames attempted to burn Matrim. Obviously this kid didn't know how his Qi worked. Or how well he could hold his Qi. Then an uppercut, which did as little as tilted Matrim's head back a little. The hit stung a little, but it definitely should have been something to avoid.
Last time I had the pleasure of telling Corgan about my Qi ability while he was in an ankle hold... this time I'm on the defensive. Just the way it should be.
"Let me tell you what my Qi is. Since you are going to be frustrated with it. You can burn, burn, and burn some more, but the flames aren't physically touching my skin. I feel the warmth, and it tingles a bit, but Qi attacks that are physically based, where something has to touch me, for instance fire... ice... lightening... or if it's some sort of strength enhancement.... they don't get past my armor."
Matrim lowered his head back down to face alex, "I'm not twice as tough, and your little pyro show isn't going to work on me. If you gave it your all earlier, using your Qi before giving me a chance to use mine, you may have stood a chance at hurting me with your flames."
Same mistake Corgan made. Never give me time. Of course... I'm not out of the woods yet. I haven't made much of an attack, and unless I plan on defending attacks for the rest of my life, I'll have to make a move.
Matrim pulled on his leg, attempting to pull Alex towards him, he leapt of his right foot, twisting his body to the left in order to kick Alex's head with his right foot. whether he made the attack or not, afterwards Matrim would fall onto the Mat, and Alex would most likely still have a hold on his leg.

Alex, with his head down, his front hair covering his eyes, smirked. Yes, smirked. " Thank you for telling me how your Qi works. Now that I know that, I won't have to waste my time." Alex said, continuing to smirk. At the least minute, when Matrim tried to pull him down to the mat, by jerking his leg, Alex released his grip on Matrim's leg, and leaned back and slightly to his left, swinging his right leg to counterattack Matrim's own kick. His leg colliding with Matrim's, he still had his balance, while Matrim, would end up on the mat.
" While it's true your Qi can stop attacks where it has to physically touch you," Alex agreed, as he moved backwards a few steps, " I can do more than just burn you with my hands." Alex continued to smirked, Matrim, if he wanted to beat him, he would have to more than just defend against Alex's attacks. " But why tell what I can do, when I can show you." Alex said, as the heat started to build up in both hands. " Even if I can't touch him to hurt him, there's no need for me to use up all my heat." he thought, as his hands glowed orange-red, and the flames took on a solid shape of two fireballs.
Alex took note of where Matrim had ended up, taking aim, he threw the fireballs, not at Matrim, but at the circle that had been painted on the mat itself. Making contact, the flames immediately began to spread, following the path the circle of paint made. Alex made a small flame take form on the tip of his finger. " If you thought I missed, you're sadly mistaken."

He felt the heat. He was curious. Alex didn't understand what he meant by physical. As in, mental, physical, and spiritual. He must have misunderstood, oh well, that was his mistake. Matrim was warmed up, a little, but nowhere near enough to harm him. He was already topless and in shorts, but he took off his shoes and threw them off to the side over the flames, enough clothes had been burnt today.
He can't burn me.... I don't know what else he can do with these flames besides set stuff on fire, fire punch people, or fireballs, but it better be something fancy. Because there is no way this is going to hurt.
Matrim put one of his toes in the fire to test the shield, it worked. He wasn't being burnt, after all, fire is an actual physical thing, the same way Corgan couldn't electrecute him. Of course, the fire was making him cough a little, he stood in the circle of fire feeling kind of cool. He probably looked cool.
"So then, show me everything you got. From where you are right now, defeat me. Don't hold back, you have me trapped now show me what you got. Or have you shown all you can do with these flames?"
Matrim stood in the circle of flames arms crossed waiting, begging, to be shown the extent of Alex's power.
Now do something really impressive.....

Alex smirked, as he stood in front of Matrim, as the flames licked around Matrim's body, yet didn't harm Matrim himself. Alex expected that. Fire, while it did provide a cool effect, is after all, a physical threat. If it wasn't for Matrim's Qi shield this fight would've been over long ago. Alex however, didn't mind that fact, it made the fight all the more interesting.
" Physically, he won't be hurt, mentally, same, and spiritually, same. But what about internally?" Alex questioned, fire generated not only flames, but smoke as well. Stay in it too long, and your lungs will be filled with smoke. He knew however, that Matrim could walk out the fire ring unscathed at any time he wanted. He saw through the flames that Matrim was standing there, arms crossed, begging him to show how powerful he was.
Alex bent down, his legs spread apart slightly, his hands in front of his face. If he couldn't hurt Matrim physically, mentally, or spiritually, then he would let the smoke do the work for him. He then got down on one knee, and placed both his hands flat on the ground. Drawing the heat from his body that was coursing through his body that he had recuperated while standing there, two burst of flames emerged on the ground, growing into two flame pillars. He didn't plan on engulfing Matrim with them, no, that would have no effect whatsoever on him.
The pillars were small, only about the height from his feet to his waist, since he had split the one pillar he could normally create into two. Smirking at Matrim, he sent the pillars along the mat, leaving a burnt trail as it traveled along the ground. He then called out to Matrim. " I know that you can't be hurt physically, but what about internally?" If Matrim was confused about what Alex was saying, he'd gladly explain. The pillars collided into the flame ring Alex had already created, creating a bigger flame ring, and a lot more smoke. Alex was a good enough distance away that the smoke wouldn't affect him, all he could smell was the smoke. He then went back into the stance he had done at the beginning of the fight, except his right and left hands were closer to his chest.

"Internally huh? That's a good question." Matrim never thought about it, and then suddenly Alex made the flames of the flame ring bigger, the flames surrounding him.
Huh..... does... this.... change anything? The size of the flames won't hurt me more.
But they did. Matrim suddenly felt a bead of sweat go down his forehead, he reached out with his hand and felt it burn slightly, pulling the hand back slowly, hiding the burn from Alex. He needed to cough, he was losing oxygen, if he left the ring now, he'd definitely show his hand.
I can't concentrate my Qi without.... oxygen....
He was losing air and fast, his eyes began to tear, he shut them. His head began to sweat, he lowered it, his legs were warm, he wanted to dropp to his knees. Then looked up, deciding to bluff his way out of this.
"I don't think you understand. I'm immune, you better step your game up."
He gave, he coughed, it was small, but a cough none the less. Time was running out quickly.
"Make your move."
He had lost but he wasn't going to admit it.

Alex continued to stay in his stance, his eyes concentrating on Matrim's figure inside the pillar, the smoke had done the job for him. Fire needs oxygen to continue burning, and with the fire pillar surrounding Matrim, his oxygen supply was dwindling as time passed on. Human beings need oxygen to live, that's a given fact, why do you think people who are trapped in a burning building need to escape so quickly? The fire was stealing away Matrim's air supply, and Alex knew that, that's why he made the flame pillars combine with the flame ring already surrounding Matrim. If Matrim didn't want to end up well-done, he would have to exit the flame pillar sooner or later.
Alex didn't let his guard down though, even with his Qi, Matrim was still a powerful foe, and he tried to make Alex sweat. "I don't think you understand. I'm immune, you better step your game up." Well, if he was so immune, was he immune to smoke and lack of oxygen? No human being is. " Are you now?" he replied back. " Then I sincerely hope you're immune to lack of oxygen, because that's your current situation." How long Matrim could hold his Qi with the small dwindling amount of oxygen he had left, Alex didn't know, but if he wanted to get out alive, he would have to bail out of the pillar soon. "Make your move." Alex's face held a serious expression, but he made his move, saying one word to Matrim. " Checkmate."

"Heh..." Matrim cracked a grin. He knew it was over. He may have been twice as tough and immune to fire itself when his Qi was active, but the lack of oxygen prevented him from using his Qi completely. He could barely manage to keep from being burt alive.
I guess now I'm going to find out how much of my Qi works when I'm unconcious....
Matrim fell to his knees, he knew he wouldn't be able to walk out of the pillar without seriously hurting himself. Part of him wondered if Alex was going to kill him, or if he had the power to put the flames out. After all, he was already showing a lot of power, normally Matrim would last much longer.
Dad.... am I going to die?
"Heh..... I.... sub.... mit-" It came out as barely a whisper, and still Matrim wondered. He fell into unconciousness, still on his knees, head bent down, hands laying limp on the floor.

Alex straightened up, he saw Matrim's figure fall onto his knees, his oxygen had run out. He heard Matrim say something, but it came out as a whisper. " Heh..... I.... sub.... mit-" It was over. Alex walked over, deactivating his Qi, the flames that had been surrounding Matrim died down and disappeared. He saw Matrim had fallen unconscious, and he stopped beside Matrim, looking down at him. " You know, you're tough. I admire that. When you're better, I wouldn't mind taking you on again. Unfortunately, without oxygen, your Qi is as good as useless." Alex said, Matrim probably couldn't hear a word he said. He moved in front of Matrim and got down on his knees, hoisting Matrim onto his back.
As he straightened up, he saw the burn on Matrim's hand, and he definitely knew that Matrim's Qi shield had been weakening, Matrim said it himself, no physical attacks could harm him. He then headed out of the gym, Matrim on his back, the guy needed to see the nurse, right away. " You idiot, if you had bailed out of the pillar sooner, I wouldn't have won. Were you so sure your Qi would last longer than mine, so that's why you stayed in the pillar?" Alex thought, when Matrim woke up, he would have to ask him that. He made his way to the nurse's office, all the while, Matrim was still unconscious on his back.

Jeremy started forward after the girl had spoken, his elbows rotating slightly to keep circulation running through his arms and allow free movement. He was pleased to find that he took up most of the ring, so she wouldnt have much room to manuever around him, even if she had the speed of a junior or senior. Unless she was an adult, security, or a teacher of some kind (which he doubted) then there wasnt really much she would be able to do.
As he drew close, he would shoot down the left punch, staying light on his feet, so when she moved, he could move also.

Lunari smiled as the massive boy moved forward. She wouldn't yet use her full speed, instead, she would engage in a head-on fight. The boy appeared to be rather strong and powerful for his age, and as a teacher, it was...kind of her job to offer pointers and tips to enhance their strengths, and reverse their weaknesses.
Lunari started forward at a mild jogging pace and bringing her right hand a little farther back, struck out for the first blow, a palm hand to counter his own fist. From then on, she'd start to steadily increase her speed of feet and blows in a head-on fight. She didn't have much strength for a teacher, but against a student, even of this size, would be more than enough to keep at least a decent match.

Jeremy's punch was countered by her little fist, which stopped it in mid-air. 'What the hell?' he thought. She didn't really move all that fast. Jeremy could move just as fast, if not faster. After she palmed the hand, he decided to test something out. He opened his palm, and used all his speed, not to mention strength, to shoot out and grab the palm of the girl before it retracted. He would bend it down and under, as though they were playing a game of one-handed "mercy".
'If she's able to get away, or overturn my hand, then ill know what i need to know' Should she bend under the weight of his forcing her down, he would step forward with his left leg and shoot up a right knee, which would land straight into her collarbone. With the strength and power with which he shot it out, it would easily break any students collar, ending the fight.
'Lets see what you really are...'
