Roleplaying Rules For St. Paragon's
1. God-Moding-
Auto-hitting is a no no. That means you must let a person respond to your attack, giving them a chance to defend against it. On the other hand, students MUST pay careful attention to stats. They aren't there to look pretty. ANY teacher could destroy a student on a whim. If attacked by a teacher, who has the intent to harm, that student MUST take the hit. Teacher stats HEAVILY out weight students.
2) Metagaming-
-This term has been thrown around a lot without people knowing what it really means. It's committed in the OOC, it's the OOC counterpart to god-moding. It's an action taken by the player that has no basis other than OOC information.
This means that if you receive information some how Out Of Character, you cannot use that information to better you're situation In Character. This goes with In Character secrets, IC fights, or any part of IC playing.
Example of Metagaming:
-Billybob's character has a knife. Joe learns that Billy bob's character has a knife. Suddenly Joe's character has a knife too.
3) Puppeteering-
-This action is directly controlling another player's character without that player's permission. Easy to remember, easy to obey.
4) Auto-Killing-
-Writing another character's death without the expressed permission of the character owner. It's simple guys, don't even think about killing a character without the owner's approval. Your free to off your own, but leave people to plan their own deaths.
5) One Character-
You are allowed one character per account. All characters brought up in a thread that are NOT your first character can be killed by anyone.
NPC = Free Game unless Staff says otherwise.
6) Life and Death-
Mortal wounds are a legitimate reason why a character could die, though without the written permission from the player, or the player playing the death itself, the character has the right to life and recovery.
Recoveries from all damage sustained in battle must be consistent with the damage. A character that has been stabbed in the eye, if it survives, will not be able to see out of that eye, if it has that eye at all.
NPC's that suffer mortal wounds must die unless a Player character claims ownership of that NPC.
7) Hanky-Panky-
Face it, there are little kids on this board. This of course means that certain things will not be allowed.
Nudity- Don't let people see your naughty parts, hell, don't even describe your naughty parts unless there's clothing on them. End of story.
Romance- NO one wants to see your character having sex with another character. DO NOT DO IT. AT ALL. EVER.
If you want to be nasty like that, keep it in pm's where other people don't have to be victim to it. Kissing is okay, keep groping and such to yourselves.
8) Punishment-
You disobey ANY of these and there will be consequences. The staff will discuss your punishment and take a vote. It could be anything from Suspension to Banning.
Be careful what you do.
9) Campus Information-
Very simple, on campus there are camera's everywhere. This of course means that school's AI knows everything. Which means the teachers know everything.
We know what you're doing.
You are not ninja, don't try to be.
10) Weapons -
Freshman are not allowed to have ANY weapons. At all. None.
Sophmore's can have weapons..if STAFF APPROVE.
Juniors may have weapons, but no more then two.
Seniors may have weapons but no more then five.
11) Other-
-Staff are allowed to enter whatever thread they want, closed or otherwise, as long as approved by the Council.
- These rules can change at any moment, but staff will let you know when that happens.-
