The man walked around as he looked about the school grounds from the courtyard. It had been a long time since he had taken a leisurely walk around the grounds. His crimson colored hair fell down to about the small of his back if not a bit further. He wore his usual clothing which consisted of a black sleeveless t-shirt and camouflage shorts.
He looked around as he took in the scenery and tried to remember about the old times. Back when things were simpler and he hadn't been kidnapped for 5 years and tortured. He still had nightmares about that. Horrible ones that made him wake up every half hour in a cold sweat. It wouldn't show now as he just used his adrenaline to fuel his body but who knows what would happen in days or weeks. His body would wear out simple as that.
He gave a sigh as he passed a slender hand over his face showing off the clover green eyes to the sky and through the crimson red hair to the nape of his neck. He didn't know how he could tell Emma this when it started to get bad but for now he would keep it to himself and try to wade his way through it as he had done with his emotions all those years ago.

"Piece of junk." Lunari had been walking almost an hour around the school tweaking with various little parts in her old MAC, salvaging it for anything useful she could put into her glasses, or into some other useful invention of hers. Meh, what was the use...this thing was nigh unbreakable. MACs had been built for durability in mind, and knowing Solaris, he wouldn't like his tech hacked, but hell, she needed parts.
Normally, she'd be locked up somewhere in the machine shop with a bunch of tools and gadgets, but it was such a beautiful day, and what a shame it would be to ruin it all. Flowers, a few birds, and the smell of grass. Yes, it only seemed like yesterday out in the old tree at 253...those had been the years when she'd advanced her farthest, and made her who she was...
Meanwhile, she had been walking...and some odd feeling had been growing on her, a slight itching on the back of her neck. She scratched it once, then almost immediately after, went back to her work. "Solaris Sayre Awren...you're the same brother...always over...mmmf, doing it." She mentioned almost crunching the MAC in her hands.

He took another deep breath as he tried to clear his mind. He felt himself start to relax and take things easier. He once again looked to the memories as he walked along the path. He then picked up a small voice and the soft stepping of shoes that did not match the rhythm of his own.
He looked up to see a woman, probably around his age but rather small. Small enough to be considered a student at a hasty glance. He payed no mind to it until the woman walked passed him. She mumbled something and barely caught any but enough to give him something to remember. 'Solaris' and 'brother'. He looked back at the woman again and tried to remember. He remembered something about Solaris but what.
He closed his eyes and thought back to his freshman year. Samara one of the people he had cared deeply for had been in a bus accident with 2 people he also knew. Toby and...Solaris. He had gone to see her at the hospital but he only found out about it from Solaris's sister...who was that person...It started with an L he knew that but what else...Lura, Luna...Lunari!
That was the girl, the one he had picked up by the scruff of her neck when he took her to go see her brother in surgery that day. He knew the doctors since he had been there countless times and was on a first name basis with them then. He had gotten her to see her brother before surgery was even over. Oh this would be fun. A Reminiscence would be very fun right about now.
He strode over to her and picked her up by the scruff of the back of her shirt. "Well well well, if it isn't Miss Lunari. So how IS your brother these days. Bloody ashes I haven't seen you since 253." he said with a laugh still holding her well above the ground but not enough to make her eye level with him.

A few moments after one hour, she walked by a rather tall man...I mean...everyone was taller than her, but something struck him out as oddly familiar. Well, that was no matter. What was of matter was fixing...well, breaking apart the box that was originally her MAC, and maybe checking out the scenary while she was at it. Being in the core so long, one often got dulled to the natural beauty of the world.
The sound of footsteps however, had stopped for a moment, and thinking for a moment the man had carried on elsewhere, cared nothing for the difference in noise. But just moments after, the same, heavy steps were on their way right back to her. Unfortunately, she was unable to notice anything until the very last moment, and right before he was upon her, she looked up straight ahead.
And suddenly, it was if gravity had been reversed. Forcefully, she was drug up by the scruff of her shirt, and lifted a couple feet off the ground. "Hey! What in the name of Luna is going on?! Put me down eh!" Her normally cheerful and calm demeanor was replaced by one of a small girl. She was kicking a little, and flailing her arms in a pitiful attempt to get away. The bell around her neck was ringing wildly. "Well well well, if it isn't Miss Lunari. So how IS your brother these days. Bloody ashes I haven't seen you since 253."
*Blink Blink*
That voice...think Lunari...oh. Right.
She stopped her flailing, but the look of defeat, a straight face, with lowered eyebrows, and a beret slid forward. "Oh, so good to see you again Matrim!" She mentioned sarcastically. "Do you EVER greet girls like a normal gentleman?!"
...
"And Solaris is fine...as a computer goes that is." She added with a blank glare.

He laughed as she flailed around in the air. It was a futile attempt but cute, he would give her that. He wondered if she remembered what had happened last time he had done this to her at the hospital. Oh well not like it matters any more. He then set her down gently and messed with her hat and grinned.
"Well thats to be expected since he is well the AI. So how have you been?" he asked. He had totally skipped over her question but she was being sarcastic so he thought that would be dealt with last.
He looked down at her. Bloody ashes she is short...She is like a throw pillow. He actually almost laughed audibly about that comment he had made to himself but held it back. "But yes I can greet a woman like a gentleman, like my wife." he said with a grin and laughed. Yeah he would laugh at that since well it was true.

"Mmmf. You can stop treating me like a little kid in that sense of manner." Her left eye lowered a little as she brushed herself off and readjusted her beret, and calmed the bell on her neck. She WAS a little kid, but only in size. She DID in fact remember the first time he'd pulled this stunt...and honestly, she was grateful for it. She wasn't as fast as she was now...and missing that bus would have made the experence back then all the worse. He'd saved her from emotional pain, but right now, that wasn't the point.
"Well thats to be expected since he is well the AI. So how have you been?"
Okay, so she couldn't stay mad at him for very long...it just wasn't her nature, and she could see he was only screwing around some looking for some fun. She did this, Solaris did it...what a hypocrite she would be if she denied it. Yes, sometimes, a little dragging was what it took.
"I've been alright I guess. What with Mr. Brenner being out and all. Keeping up with core maintenence is tough...and so is teaching." Uhm, duh? She went on, thinking this wasn't what he was after. "I really havn't been doing much, just a lot of practice, nearly killed my boyfriend...apparently didn't appriciate Qi very much...I think he was just a little jealous. I suppose that's why he stayed in Washington." She gave an innocent smile. She didn't WANT to hurt him...but as usual, you didn't insult Lunari's intelligence or ability. Ever.

He looked at her and nodded as she adjusted her beret and spoke of how she wasn't a kid. He still remembered that time when they had paintballed at 253 and she had come decked out and he had come in with a generic side arm and a big shield.
She then said she was alright it was just a hassle keeping the core stable and teaching all at once since Mr. Brenner wasn't there to do his duties. He kept nodding at certain points, not in idly but in actual understanding. Then she said she had dated and nearly killed her boyfriend. ....What is with these girls and driving off their boyfriends? This is the 2nd girl I've met from 253 that has done that. He thought to himself. It was kinda ironic of it happening but eh.
She then gave him an innocent smile and he shrugged back with a small grin. Not the girl he gave Emma all the time but just a small one "Well then he just wasn't right for you. I mean who would want to date a person that was always jealous of their partner?" He said with a laugh. "Besides, what kind of guy wouldn't want to be with you? Your smart and your pretty cute and you have backbone, but sorry, I'm happily married." he said laughing.
