The MAC
Hello Freshman, if your reading this message, then I will assume that you have already been successful in gaining at least rudimentary knowledge of this device. The handheld device that you are reading this prompt on is what we call on 650 as the MAC, or Mobile Assistant Computer. If you are observant, you will notice it is based off the ancient HTC Touch, loaded with Windows Mobile 6. However, I have taken the liberty of upgrading the software with the latest version of Chronos, as well as the most advanced mobile hardware to date.
As a new student or teacher, you will be given a MAC from the enrollment office free of charge. As such, don't lose it...or be sure you can pay for it in some way. Now on to something more cheerful.
This device is loaded with the best software suite you will find on any handheld device. It is capable of high-speed wireless connections, Redtooth2 connections, storing terabytes of data, playing your favorite music files, and showing small, high-resolution videos. Among it's more important intentions and features, is that it carries your personal security key for the school, as well as your digital wallet for around and out of the city. Needless to say, the MAC is the best tool for any student or teacher on the go, and as such, if lost or stolen, must be reported to any administrator or Solaris. While the internal hardware is epoxy-filled, and digitally encrypted, protocol necessitates the destruction of the object via wireless kill-signal when lost.
In other words, don't lose it...it won't be pretty for anyone.
If you have any questions about authorized software or hardware upgrades for your device, contact Solaris.
Remember, this is your ONLY security key! You will need your MAC to get into any classroom or even the lunch room.
