There was a general hush just before she reached the Kane(?) standing at the door. She turned and saw that there was a different Kane, standing on a podium. He cleared his throat and she saw The Doctor standing slightly behind him, looking a bit lost in though. She gave the Kane at the door a last glance and decided that her Kane wouldn't be guarding, he would be talking. Luyu made her way for the stage and stopped once he began talking.
Everything that was said made Luyu's face grow stonier and stonier. She didn't like this situation, and had not had much practice as a guardian. The woman was afraid she would be of little help, but Kane had said for all guardians to come and here she was. She was brought back to reality as Kane slammed his fist against the podium, it splintered in a few areas and some of the people around her murmered quietly. They met her icy gaze and fell silent. Luyu looked back to the stage where her Kane (or she hoped it was her Kane) was standing and hoped to catch his eye.

The Doctor watched as the girl walked in. He walked over slowly to her, he remembered her as another teacher at the school. Dr Kodiak if he remembered right.
"Hello Doctor," The Doctor said to her, "I would have never pegged you as a guardian. How long have you been a member of this secret cool organization?"
The Doctor thought it best to start asking people other then Kane to learn about the guardians. Someone who wasn't completely gung ho. He hoped that person was this woman. The Doctor turned back towards Kane who had just slammed his fist down on the podium.
"Was that necessary...."

Luyu watched The Doctor walk towards her, obviously recognizing her as another teacher. "Hello Doctor, I would have never pegged you as a guardian. How long have you been a member of this secret cool organization?" She smiled at him and chuckled slightly at his labeling the guardians. She had never truly thought of herself as one, but it was true that she was a guardian.
"Good evening, Doctor, please call me Luyu. I just have the students use my title because it makes me feel important," She laughed slightly and grinned prettily, her eyes still on Kane. "I have been part of the secret cool organization for 20 years, probably much longer than many of those around me." Luyu hoped he didn't ask how old she had been when joining, for very few people knew she was over 30, the woman looked mid 20s. "Kane himself recruited me when we were in High School. I'm afraid I've never really gotten into it, but it's fun to run out and rescue the random mugging victim." The woman laughed again, as if this were a joke that only he would get. She wondered if the laugh would offend him, for many of the guardians were quite serious about the role that she took lightly.
Tearing her gaze away from Kane, Luyu looked the Doctor in the eye. "Would it be safe to assume that you, too, are a guardian?"

"Me? Nahhh, it's really not my thing... organizations such as this. I have bad luck with them to say the least. I'm more of a free lancer world saving superhero. Stressing the superhero part....."
The Doctor was a little full of himself while calling himself a superhero. He imagined himself with a cape for awhile, but the truth was that his suit and trench coat were a little more superhero esque then any cape.
"But thats good for you though, saving the world fighting the good fight, doing what you can for the planet. Heh," The Doctor was proud of people who did what she did. They didn't take the organization serious, they took the mission statement serious. It wasn't about following guidelines and paperwork for them. It seemed like it was more along the lines of helping people.
"So what do you reckon about all this GlaDOs business?"

Luyu laughed. She liked The Doctor, he added a lighthearted feel to the stressful situation. She was glad for it, for the sea of stony faces around them was quite oppressive. As a matter of fact, a few of the stony faces had the stink eye pointing in her direction, for her laugh had been the only one in the room, though the woman had tried to keep it quiet.
"But thats good for you though, saving the world fighting the good fight, doing what you can for the planet. Heh,"
She smiled at his words. Luyu had spent the first 15 years of her life doing everything possible to help degenerate society, taking it to the point of almost comitting murder on several accounts. That was how she had ended up at the same High School as Kane, though their reasons for being there had been completely different. The last 20 years had been spent trying to correct the wrongs she had committed, and Luyu sometimes wondered if she would ever feel appeased.
The woman was pulled from her musings, though, "So what do you reckon about all this GlaDOs business?"
Biting her lip, Luyu placed a hand on her hip, looking back up at Kane. "You know Doctor, I don't know enough to have formed too many opinions, even after Kane's speech." She paused for a moment, exhaling softly, "I think that the obvious should happen as quickly as possible, though, the obvious being retrieving the weapons and pacifying the machine."

Just what the Doctor though. No chance these people were going to fix the machine, they were just going to kill it. The Doctor decided in his head that should they find this thing, he would approach it and speak to it. He had to know it's origins. He had to know how that technology got to earth. It wasn't always here, there is no way.
"Well then, I guess that is that." The room was obviously neither of their type of crowd and Kane seemed to be a little split at the moment.
"How do we go about finding this thing.... It obviously doesn't want to be destroyed, and it's obviously been in hiding. Is there a way to? Any type of bread crumbs?"
The Doctor wanted the information so that he could go search for himself. It's the way he did things. He went alone, confronted the thing, ordered it to give up, and if it didn't take the offer.
Then, and only then, would the Doctor be forced to do what was necessary.

Hazel eyes found their way back to the Doctor, Luyu pondered his questions. "How do we go about finding this thing.... It obviously doesn't want to be destroyed, and it's obviously been in hiding. Is there a way to? Any type of bread crumbs?"
The woman laughed softly, ruefully. "You know Doctor, I don't know. It's a difficult thing to try and do, finding it. There are many people in this room who would as soon send some sort of explosive than going and trying to pacify it themselves, whether that means killing or calming I know not." She paused, sighing and placing a delicate hand underneath a similiarily delicate chin. "I think the best person to ask that question of 'how' to is Kane." Luyu looked back to the man at the podium.
"Th fact that it is in hiding means that it does not want to die, though. Which opens a completely new can of worms." She said this last bit softly, considering. If the being was in fact sentient then who were they to pass judgement on its life? Luyu had made that mistake more than once in her life.

Kane looked around to make sure no one could hear him as he spoke. He held up the crystal that always dangled from his wrist and muttered “In the darkest of times you glow gold… and in the best of times you are blacker than pitch, why is it now that you are completely clear?” but he never got an answer, instead a shrowded figure, one of his personalities, suddenly flowed out of the crowd and up onto the stage in the blink of an eye. It looked directly at him and said “Eagle is here…. And he brought all of them…” and once again in the blink of an eye he was gone.
The door at the end of the stairs flung open to reveal a man that looked exactly like Mr. Hawthorne from years passed march in. the only differences was his hair was cut into a military buzz cut and it was bleached, plus his muscles were at least two or three times larger than the old mans. He stood there with a wild look in his eyes, in a covert ops uniform and a class 5 gun on his back. It was obvious this man was different from Kane for the first and only words to come out of his mouth were “So where is this son of a bitch with a bigger bounty on its head than you Kane?”

While waiting for the Doctor to reply, Luyu's attention was caught by another Kane pushing through. She watched as he jumped up to talk to the Kane at the podium. As she opened her mouth to exlaim at the fact that there were so many of him walking around. Before she could make a noise, though, a large blonde man burst though the door and shouted, “So where is this son of a bitch with a bigger bounty on its head than you Kane?”
Luyu's eyes widened a bit at the man's words. She folded her arms, for his path to Kane would pass by her. The woman wasn't planning on standing in his way, but she wanted a better look at this brash man and it seemed that she would.

Kane glared at the militaristic show off and nearly slugged him hard for speaking of the bounty on his head. His voice came out like ice as two of his personalities materialized out of nowhere and gripped the man, yanking his arms behind him and a position that would signify arresting someone, “If we knew where it was, we wouldn’t need you and your class 5s, the only reason you get away with them is because you are of use to us. If your Qi power wasn’t as advanced as it is you would be so far into the afterlife that not even Rachel could get you back for bringing that weapon into this building.”
He glanced around as more of his personalities made their way into the room. He pointed to them and said “Remove this mans weaponry, and his allies weaponry too, store it in the safe room and then proceed to restrain him and activate his Qi power.” his glare came back and settled upon the man before he turned around. Suddenly Eagle spoke and it was no where near what Kane expected, his words carried a dark menace and silenced the crowd around and seemed to dim the lights themselves, “My word is law where I come from, and you have just gone against my will, making it to where you have broken the law, if any of your personalities lays a hand on me I will blow this building straight to hell.” suddenly there was the sound of many weapons being readied for attack and all that was hear before the lights cut out was “You so much as twitch you will regret the day you were born!” from out in the crowd, followed by the jangle of one of the many medals on the mans chest.

Luyu was shocked at the way this man was being treated. He came in and was rude, but that did not brander harsh treatment. It was true that his weapon was inappropriate for the crowd in the room, but still. She opened her mouth to say something, then snapped it shut at the man's words.
“My word is law where I come from, and you have just gone against my will, making it to where you have broken the law, if any of your personalities lays a hand on me I will blow this building straight to hell.”
Luyu crossed her arms, looking back to Kane. The man was being treated like a criminal and though she didn't know his history, it seemed that he had done nothing yet to deserve it, besides his crass way of talking. When the lights went, out though, and she heard “My word is law where I come from, and you have just gone against my will, making it to where you have broken the law, if any of your personalities lays a hand on me I will blow this building straight to hell.” Luyu decided to take action.
Opening her mouth, a shrill sound came from between her lips and seemed to fill the space around her, expanding to press against the ceiling. The sound pressed against everyone's eardrums, piercing cloth, so that it felt that there was no other sound on the entire earth. She kept it from getting too much more powerful though, for the woman did not wish to harm anyone.
Though she could not see it, Luyu knew that those around her were brought to their knees from the noise, though one couldn't identify the feeling quite as pain. The noise grew until glass somewhere in the room shattered, for there were now many tones. The sound did not stop as the woman reached into her tote and pulled out an emergency flashlight, turning it on. She was the only one standing anymore. The noise stopped suddenly and left an overpowering silence while she slowly shut her lips.
"Look at you people." She said softly, though her voice carried throughout the entire room, "You are supposed to be the ones who keep your heads during a catastrophe, now you're ganging on one man? I'm ashamed to call myself a guardian."

Kane slowly looked out over the crowd, still standing at the end of the strike Luyu had released. Sadly the harm had to happen. He ignored everything for the Qi had been nullified in front of him by Mystery. Stepping up to Luyu he kissed her and started to explain everything. “This man is the son of Mr. Hawthorne, the man who tore me away from you Luyu!” his body shook with rage at that and then he looked to the man and said “He is also more dangerous than you could ever imagine, that gun on his back can blow up this building in nothing flat. That gun is a Class 5, Class 5 weaponry runs off a very unstable energy source which has an output of that is roughly equal to that of a nuke but focused in to a single point. He is also part of the scum of the earth, he is no Guardian, he simply carries the badge of his father and uses it to get himself out of trouble all the time.”
Suddenly his anger swept him up and he had to show what was probably the worst of it all. “And not even that is what causes us to attack him! This is what it is!” he drew his blade and brought it in at full force to the mans skull. The blade suddenly ceased to exist. “His Qi is split in 5 forms and the first form has been active since he got here. Face it, he isn’t here for peace, he wants his bounty and then he is fucking gone, he is the scum of the earth.”

He is also part of the scum of the earth, he is no Guardian, he simply carries the badge of his father and uses it to get himself out of trouble all the time.” Luyu now understood why the people in the room might have hard feelings toward the man. He seemed just as course as his language was, yet she didn't see why he wasn't simply dissarmed and thrown out.

Face it, he isn’t here for peace, he wants his bounty and then he is fucking gone, he is the scum of the earth.” Luyu now understood the predicimate. He was an evil man with evil weapons. She looked up into the face of the man she loved and felt torn. The woman hated to see human life abused or taken, and though the man in front of her was complete scum, he was still a human.
Rising onto her toes, Luyu kissed Kane softly. "I understand that he is dangerous but why not take his weapons and transport him somewhere else? Is there no one in this room of Qi users that could dissable him?" Luyu refused to allow her face to plead for the man, he wasn't worth it. She used only her words, "If he must be beaten or destroyed, why must these people mob him as if they were senseless zombies? I care for the dignity of everyone in the room's, not just the object of their rage." The beautiful woman's voice was soft at this point, only loud enough for Kane to hear.

Kane calmed visibly as he kissed her in return. He couldn’t help it, it had been a while since they had touched, and it was dark in the room, he could only see her and it felt to him now that they were the only ones left in the room. But he had to focus on his work and he spun around quickly, bringing Luyu around by his side with his angel wing. He quickly looked around to his personalities and said “Haru, destroy the weapons, Geos, Aranos, you two hold him, and Mystery, you nullify all his Qi powers except the one we need…” he then turned to the little robot that stayed by his side at all times, “and you little one, force his Qi active, I don’t care how painful it is, just make sure he lives through it.” he turned and kissed Luyu again as Michelle lit the room but he had one last order to issue, “Which ever one of my personalities brings me his badge gets a 5 minute head start against GlaDOs…” he then wrapped his arms around the woman he loved and held her close.

Kane turned and Luyu wondered if he would want her with him. Her question was answered, though, as a very large wing reached around to encompass her, pulling her along. Taking it in stride, Luyu relaxed a bit as the soft feathers from Kane's wing brushed against her soft skin like silk. “Haru, destroy the weapons, Geos, Aranos, you two hold him, and Mystery, you nullify all his Qi powers except the one we need and you little one, force his Qi active, I don’t care how painful it is, just make sure he lives through it.”
Luyu was quite pleased. She didn't care that the man was going to go through pain, only that Kane was keeping him alive. Opening her mouth to say as much, words were swept away as he pressed his mouth against hers in a kiss as the lights came on. She smiled and sighed against him, forgetting the situation for a moment while in his arms and wings.
“Which ever one of my personalities brings me his badge gets a 5 minute head start against GlaDOs…” Kane then took her in his arms. There was a rush and in less than a second the man was covered by who Luyu could only assume were Kane's many personalities. One of them stepped forward and handed the man a badge, she peeked around to see but whomever it was had dissapeared before she could see which one it was. The personalities fascinated the woman and she wondered if Kane's love for her affected them at all.
Luyu wondered what would happen now. She also wondered where The Doctor had gotten off to after the noise she had made.
