“We will be heading ahead of the enemy and we need to get to a major destination before it reaches there… so we have to hit a travel marker in space. I suggest you strap in and hold your breath when I say so, we are going to use a mass transit system, if you don’t hold your breath you may just wind up throwing up… its still experimental.”
Leaning back and making sure she knew where the seatbelt was, Luyu decided to relax as best she could. The idea of being in space was terrifying, scarier than flying itself, yet it was slightly exhilerating. She would get to do what few people had ever done. Kane took her hand and the hazel-eyed woman set down her glass. “Why don’t you hum a few bars of your favorite tune? If you do I’m sure Haru would be glad to play it for you.”
The woman twisted to see Haru and she smiled, giving Kane an amused look. He obviously did not know the extent of her Qi, but that was alright. Opening her mouth, she sang four bars of her favorite Eric Whitacre piece. She did not use her Qi for it, yet her voice was still gorgeous. Luyu had discovered her Qi after receiving her Graduate degree.

Haru looked to Kane for a moment and raised a questioning brow as is wanting to know if he should use his Qi or not. Kane smiled and held up his index finger and thumb showing a small distance between the two and smiled. Haru grabbed his bow and pulled it across the strings of the violin, sounding nothing like the song was supposed to. He suddenly started to go back and forth and let the Qi flow into the violin. Slowly the music changed from what sounded like a beginners first attempts to an exact match of what Luyu had started.
The plane was off the ground and moved high in the air at an astonishing speed. Haru wasn’t even half way through the song before he had to stop playing and jump into a seat and buckle up as Kane announced to hold their breath. A blue flash filled the surrounding area and suddenly there was another one. All who held their breath felt no effects but those that didn’t suddenly had a collapsed throat. Kane squeezed Luyu’s hand to show it was all safe before he spoke to all those on board it was safe to breath again. The plane was suddenly descending rapidly to an Egyptian airport.

Holding Kane's hand, the woman moved her hand in time to the song that Haru played. An experienced conductor, the woman did not grimace at the missed notes, only marked them as a mental note that she would go over with him later. He did quite well though, she commended him.
The song did not last long, though, as he jumped into a seat to buckle up at the same time that Kane instructed her to buckle up and hold her breath. Doing so, the woman's ears popped slightly before Kane squeezed her hand. Luyu took this as a sign to breathe once more, and found that she was not mistaken.
Peeking out the window, Luyu was affronted by the dark of space, the moon closer than she had ever seen it. Looking out the other side, she saw the beauty that was the earth. The jet shifted and bit and they plunged back towards the earth. Draining what was left in her glass, the potowatami woman leaned her head back and closed her eyes, feeling at ease with Kane's presence. She knew that soon there would be no relaxing.

Kane relaxed against the chair and let himself breath for now. He had to let go of everything for just a little bit. He was getting far too stressed and now was not the time for it. He smiled to Luyu and stood up, wrapping an arm around her as best he could from that distance. He undid the seat buckle and held her in his arms as he passionately kissed her and started to relax.
That is when everything in the world started to go wrong. A black shimmer appeared on the ground and the hair on the back of Kane’s neck stood on end as a voice only data link came through the plane, it was Zack. His voice crackled to life as he said “Kane, I’m sorry but my mission was far from a success, the enemy unit has fired its weapons and the doctor has retreated into that machine of his, the machine is headed at high speed for your location, somehow it can read your mind sir…” the broadcast was suddenly cut off by a loud scream of pain and suddenly the radio went silent.
Kane stood there as his eyes started to gleam silver and tears streamed from them. Only 9 other personalities reacted this way and one of which was Haru, the rest were hidden. The black glimmer was the charging of a devastating, non-experimental class 5 weapon impacting and decimating all life in the area of the origin of the transmission.
Breaking his hold on Luyu, Kane stepped back and shook with both sadness and rage before yet another communication came in, this one was from Akuma and had both Video and Audio. His voice crackled in as a display of destruction rained around behind him his was almost yelling into the mike “Kane! Everything has gone south here! The thing found us and is blasting away! We are losing the others everywhere, almost all the personalities are gone! Me, Myou, and Fluffy are the only ones left!” suddenly there was the sound of a yelp from a wolf in the background and suddenly Akuma started cussing before the video cut off.
His rage increased and his body shook even more as alterations happened throughout his body. His rage became malice and the malice became wrath. The plane touched to the ground and stopped without a shake. Bursting out the door he screamed to the sky above, trying to get rid of his waves of anger but it would do no good. He fell to his knees from the scream and tears flooded down his face as his body shook ever more. He just couldn’t bring himself to do anything else.
…All hope is lost…

Kane rose and took her in his arms. Luyu smiled and pushed her face against him, glad to have the safe feeling around her. Things were going so well, she hoped that the situation with GlaDOS wouldn't be too bad, perhaps they would have more time to spend together afterwords. Titling her shapely chin, Luyu gladly accepted and reciprocated his kiss.
Their pleasant moment was ruined, though, when the intercom came blaring into the cabin. Well, she thought it was the intercom at least.

The man's arms seemed frozen around her, and she wondered if he was alright. Looking up into his face, she saw that his eyes were silver and he was weeping silenty. She pressed her face against him once more, trying to offer what comfort she could. The man she loved moved away and his body shook. Opening her mouth, Luyu was interupted by a screen coming on, showing a man that she could only assume was Akuma, for his likeness to Kane.
“Kane! Everything has gone south here! The thing found us and is blasting away! We are losing the others everywhere, almost all the personalities are gone! Me, Myou, and Fluffy are the only ones left!”
Chaos seemed to ensue and the screen quit. It seemed that Fluffy had been killed and something was going to happen to the rest. Luyu pressed a hand over her mouth, not sure what the next step would be. Kane seemed lost, this had surely not been expected. She moved close to him, putting her hand on his elbow. "It's going to be alright, Kane." She said it softly, her voice confident though she didn't know if things really would be ok.
