History Information
History: Since childhood, Terrene had always been a late bloomer.
One would have thought that growing up with her mother in the United States, taught all the necessary things and given just enough attention, she would have been a completely average learner. However, this was not the case, as things seemed to go in one ear and out the other with her, the only information that she seemed to understand instantly were subjects that had really grabbed her attention. However, eventually information would get through to her, and she grew into a perfectly average child with a tendency to daydream quite a lot and not listen as well as she probably should have done. A slight contrast to her capable brothers and sisters.
Though school was stressful for her, and deadlines were very rarely met, she pulled through, forcing herself to work faster, even if it meant producing complete gibberish...or nothing at all. Earning detentions and scolding she would sulk to her parents and groan about her teachers being unfair. The typical school girl it would seem.
However she found out at the age of 10 that she wasn’t. Happily picking flower heads to put into her growing album of presses, she had stumbled upon some beautiful flowers in the back of the flowerbeds. Not wanting to trample the ones up front, she had sat and stared at the flowers, thinking away around her problem, when pop, the earth beneath her unreachable desires swelled to quite an unnatural height, uprooting the perfectly healthy plants, and leaving Terra with a unhappy mother.
However, after explaining what had happened to bother Mama and Papa, she learnt of her families supposed genetic disorder, one of the few things she understood in an instant. Just like that. She was an Awren, and thus, special, that’s how she saw it. And with this knowledge, she happily returned to her slow pace of learning, applying it to how to completely control the first stages of her Qi, doing so while going through some simple Savate hand strikes. If anything, she mostly enjoyed tripping people up with her miniature mole hills.(Bad to the bone, Terra...).
She had watched her siblings grow with there Qi, learn them just as she was having to, and use them just as she would eventually use them. She took notes, watched and learnt as they developed. When she watched her brothers and sisters go there own, unique and some troubled ways, she felt a little left in the dust, though it helped her build a determination. Her slow pace quickened slightly, determined to catch up with her siblings, and most importantly to catch up with her twin who had done some extravagant doings with his own Qi.
Her reasoning being simple development...and perhaps a small feeling of being left behind, she sought to find that one bank that had been her twin’s failure (Of course only after she felt her Qi capabilities were worthy of the task she wanted to perform). Using what ever means she had (Knowledge of hacking she had gained by watching her brothers...small simple moves to disarm and silence guards from Savate), she somehow managed to slip past security and pass to the vault. Problems bloomed when she realized she had no means of getting into the heavily locked vault apart from rising the ground below it in hopes that maybe she could force the door away.
She was found before the ground even broke through the tiles.
The police arrested her on account of attempted theft. She was given the choice of prison or a school to harness her abilities.
Thus, ending up here.
