"Thank you ma'am"
Darien reached over the counter, accepting his MAC, then headed out the front doors and back into the sunshine. He took a deep breath, his bag slung over shoulder, and took a look around, his blue eyes looking over everything they could get they're grasp on. It was surprisingly beautiful here. He had assumed, since it was a sort of prison, that it would look like one. Instead, it had a small forest, lush vegetation, a beautiful courtyard, and students walking everywhere.
'This may not be half bad' He thought to himself cheerfully. It may just be the start of a wonderful school-life for him. He wandered over to the large fountain, placing his bags down next to him as he ran through his MAC. It had a list of classes, as well as the names of all the teachers currently working here. He stuffed the MAC into his pocket, laid down on the raised circle of cement surrounding the fountain, and looked up at the sky. He couldn't wait to get started. People may think him daft, or unwitty, but nothing could be further from the truth. He new the dangers that this place held, but he also knew that anyone who made the sorry mistake of messing with him would soon regret it, and decided instead to have a positive lookout on life here.
'New school year, here i come' He thought happily.

Matrim had been walking around, he heard he was getting a new room mate and thought he'd check the guy out before he showed up in the dorm room. It was easier to meet someone outside of having to live with them. At least, this was Matrim's theory. He walked around and saw a kid he hadn't seen before. Someone who didn't look relatively frightening, but he watched him getting his MAC, and walking over by the fountain laying down.
Nice belt buckle.....
Matrim was heading over, he was wearing a button up white shirt which he had unbuttoned, revealing his muscles and the black venetian glass ring which was around his neck on a small string like necklace. He was wearing jeans but was not wearing socks or shoes, he liked walking around barefoot. Sure he'd step on something painful, and the cement would get hot if it was a sunny day, but he could take the small amount of pain to enjoy the comforts of having his barefeet out.
"Hey kid, I take it you're a new student?" Matrim said standing about 10 feet away from the kid in a patch of grass. "I'm Matrim, Matt for short. Consider me the welcome wagon."

Dariens ears perked up as a voice began to speak to him. Pushing himself to a sitting position with one arm, he looked over to the kid who spoke. He stood, brushed off his back, then walked over, left hand in his pocket, and right sticking out for a shake. He grinned.
"Pleased to meet ya matt. Names Darien. And yeah, im new"
After the kid shook his hand or left it hanging, Darien would put it in his pocket, giving the boy a quick look over. He was strong to be sure, and knew how to handle himself. Cracking his neck, Darien looked around at the school. He was wearing blue jeans, his ying-yang belt buckle and a white button-up long sleeved shirt. He looked to matt and spoke again.
"This place is huge. What do you guys do for fun?"

"This place is huge. What do you guys do for fun?"
"Mostly?" Matrim said, "Fight people, flirt with a girl named Sephora, avoid being shot by the PE teacher, and of course there is also finding ways to get in trouble with the computer AI, Solaris Awren."
Matrim shook his hand, he had the idea in his head to show his strength in the shake, or possibly use the shake to beat up the kid. Why? He liked seeing what people could do. He liked seeing what they had hidden up their sleeves. "And of course, some of the students feel the need to make or join gangs. So far their all in the makings though. By the way, since your the new kid, that makes you my room mate. First Floor, it'll be the room that has a D on the front of it."
It'd be interesting to find all the potential people I want in my gang in one spot, get them to brawl it out for the third seat.... but that'll never happen....

Well, that was interesting....he didnt expect to run into his roomate first, but it worked out to his advantage.
Darien shook the boys hand, then, after listening to his explanation, cracked his neck, and began unbuttoning his dress shirt, revealing a black tank underneath. He walked back over to his bag, and stuffed it inside. Darien wore the jeans he did because they were loose fitting, and allowed much movement in his legs where his speed really came into play. Returning back to Matt, he stood about twenty feet away, then gave a quick grin.
"Well, if thats the case, wanna have a friendly fight? Nothing too serious, with or without Qi if you want. Just to test the waters." He shrugged, then put his hands at his sides, waiting to see what the boy would do. "Its up to you, but you seem to have the attitude of someone who likes a good fight. The Qi is up to you, im more than willing to have either." He built up his Qi, just in case. He knew the guy wanted to fight, everything about him screamed 'i want to brawl'.
Darien was only too happy to oblige.
'Ah, this should be fun' He thought excitedly.

"Heh.... sure thing." Matrim thought about it. Without Qi he could win, hands down. Or at least that's what he thought. On the other hand, he wanted to see the other boy's all.
"Qi's allowed. I want to see what the new kids got. Besides, I'm used to fighting with my Qi. It feels like fighting naked when I don't use it."
He didn't mean he felt weak, although thats how anyone would take that, espicially a fighter. The reference was a personal one he had to how his Qi armor felt. He felt less pain and therefore he was able to take more abuse, last longer in a fight then most people dreamt of, and it allowed him to see his opponents attacks.
Let's see what you got kid......
Matrim walked over building up his Qi. He'd be using it during the whole fight. If his Qi wore off he'd go a bit longer in the fight, and depending on who was winning, he'd make a decision whether to order the kid to give up, or give up himself. If things weren't decided once his Qi was done for, he'd just call the draw and walk off, leaving it up to the kid to get a cheap shot in for the win or not.
He walked over to a bigger patch of grass, in plain view of anyone outside and got into a stance, his Qi ready to go once the kid made his move.

Darien grinned, then brought his hands up to his face, in standard boxing. He had been doing street fighting for so long, he picked up many different types of fighting styles along the way and adapted them to make them his own. While you could only classify it as street fighitng, Darien came to think of it as his own personal martial art. He started forward, not yet unleashing his Qi. His left was out in front, hand open, his right near his chin, held loosly.
This should be interesting.
As he drew closer to matt, he would allow the boy to attack first, instead opting to see how good he was on offence. Usually he would attack, but he wanted to see what the guy had. He would stand there, feet just a little spread, waiting for the guys move.

Matrim watched the boy get into a stance.
Don't think he's using a Qi.... boxing stance.... I know boxing.... maybe he wants to box? I can kick box... and box.... and judo and wrestling too in case I get the chance to grab a hold of him.... I'll just try and remember that.
Matrim had his Qi focused but didn't activate it. He always, always waited for his opponent to do the same. It was how he insured a long drawn out fight. After all, those were the ones he won, where you outlast someone.
"Alright then. Let's get to it."
One spin, to the left, lowering his body as he spun, kicking up his left leg, jumping off of his right. The left foot was a distraction, it blocked vision of his right foot partially, but a quick enough smart enough person would see it. The left foot would be sent to hit the kids face and continue on the path to the ground while the right was a roundhouse kick following up the initial kick.
This was to thrash out and get things started. Of course, the best part was Matrim was barefoot. Something he always found made it all the more fun. Fights weren't as serious to him if he was barefoot.

Darien lowered his center of gravity. then shot out his left hand as the kick was aiming for his face. His hand would make contact, and from the angle and the positioning matt was in, would really be able to see his right fist, which would shoot up and just a little down, heading straight for the joint on the side of his left knee. As he punched he would step to his left, letting go of the foot. His punch was meant for one thing. To disable.
With the power the kick would take to do any real damage, the joint at the knee would be tense, adding strain to the small muscle there. The punch would cause that muscle to cringe and sieze up, allowing for impaired movement on that leg. It was a move he had done on himself, and thats where he learned it from. Underground fighting had it advatages.
Afterwards, he would turn to face Matt, who (whetehr he ladnded on his feet or his back) would probably be in more than a little pain. He would come forward quickly, and with a purpose now, his left hand a little lowered down, but open his right fist clenched in front of his face. He would step up and throw a hard right punch to Matt if his was still standing. If he was on the ground he would bring up his left and stomp down on matts chest, just hard enough to knock the wind from him, but not to the point where youd think he was going to start beating the crap out of him while he was down. It was more of an incentive to get up.

He knows his stuff.
Matrim retreated his right leg quickly when he knew his plan had failed. He decided it was better to stay grounded after all was said and done. Of course, then his knee take a blow, or the joint by the knee rather. A very precision based hit to it, something Corgan would have done. It did plenty of damage, and Matt did too when you gave him the oppurtunity.
Judo and wrestling, that'll be the key to winning. It worked against Corgan, it'll work against this kid.
Matrim's body took a second to twist back to normal, he brought his left leg down and found he couldn't bend it fast, the nerve rang out.
Damnit, that'll suck. No figure four today.... guess I'll have to go for the hand based submissions. Holds and locks today folks.
He was quick to see Darien coming however, he was slowly learning to better himself for paying attention to the opponent. He was coming with fists..
Grab onto on, use the force against him.
He threw a right punch, Matrim already knew his attack. with his left hand he grabbed his wrist, with his right his elbow, his body turned to his left, lowering his body down.
YYEEEEEEOWWWWWWWWW
His knee screamed the instant it happened, he slightly bent it to turn and get low, and on top of it he pulled the boys punch and threw his body over his shoulder, never letting go of the elbow or wrist.

Darien knew that position well. Fist and elbow in his hands, twisting of the torso, muscles pulling hard.
Darien was going for a ride.
He flew over the fellows shoulder, already thinking of what he could do when the boy screamed in pain. Matt lowered slightly, so when Darien landed Matt's left knee was close to his head.Reaching up with his free left hand as quick and as fast as he could, he grabbed that left knee in a basic tigers claw. The pain for Matt would be excruciating, and the grip Darien had would be fierce, his grip ever tightening. The pain would cause Matt to pause, if not bend slightly to grab the hand and get it away as fast as possible.
Either way, he wouldn't be standing anytime soon.
Dariens abs would flex as his lower half would bend up in an amazing feat of flexibility and wrap around the head that was above him. His feet would cross at the back of Matt's neck, and, using all the strength in his legs and abs, would would pull and throw Matt across Dariens body. At the apex of the throw, Darien would release those legs, so Matt would fly maybe a foot or two.
Darien would come to his feet slowly, eying Matt.
"I haven't had to use my Qi yet, and with that leg being they way it is for at least an hour, its not probable you'll win. So i ask, should i use my Qi?" He grinned widely."I know you want to see it."
It was fully powered now, begging to be released, but he wouldn't use it unless Matt wanted him to. If that leg hadn't been disabled, the fight may continue for a long while, since Matt seemed to be the type able to handle himself well. But with that leg being how it was, The fellow was at a serious handicap, and Darien didn't want him to take any more damage than necessary.

Matrim saw it coming a mile away.
Should have thrown him further out... damn knee....
He saw the hand, the kid was quicker then Matrim, but luckily Matrim handled pain well since he was taking a lot of it.
"SONOVABITCH!" He said as the hand shot into his knee. He quickly aborted with his left hand, still holding onto the elbow with his right hand, he forced his hand under the kids pushing it out when he noticed feet.
Wait.... I'm being outplayed in my own style.... that ain't happening! NO WAY!
The kid pulled Mat, he no longer had his knee, and he was basically holding the kids upper extremeties at this point, so he jerked his head back, pulling up with both hands, the kids knees were on his shoulders and he was still holding the kids left hand, his right elbow was out of reach. He then used his right hand now free and threw the kid forward off of him, hopefully sending the kid straight into the dirt, although it was very likely the kid landed on his hands and feet.
"I haven't had to use my Qi yet, and with that leg being they way it is for at least an hour, its not probable you'll win. So i ask, should i use my Qi? I know you want to see it."
Right yeah... Qi.... wait... not probable? I'll show your ass not probable!
QI SHIELD TIME BABY!
He activated his Qi. Nothing physically changed. It was one of those things that goes unnoticed, he was looking at the ground when he heard the kid talk and raised his head to see him up and about at this point, not knowing if he took much damage from that throw.
"Bring it on kid. And trust me when I say my knee is just fine." His knee was still in pain, but he dealt with it, much much better then he was dealing with it before, "I have a scrap book filled with Qi abilities that don't work on me so lets see if you go into that or the select few I program notes of into my MAC."
Notes so far just including Alex's flame technique, purely from the smoke of it all.

Darien hadn't really expected what happened, since the position seemed correct for the grab, but when he thought back on it later, he knew that everything that had happened definitely worked out. His legs went on the boys shoulder, when suddenly then boy lifted and threw, sending Darien to roll a bit then come to his feet. He spoke what he planned, then saw as the boy kind of pulled this invisible confidence, like he knew he had an ace up his sleeve. Darien grinned.
"You asked for it."
Darien threw a right fist into his open left palm, and felt a light tingle in every nerve, every cell, every piece of his DNA. This would seem to take forever for Darien, but it would all happen in less than two to three seconds for Matt, It would appear like Darien was flashing, then it would seem like Matt had gone cross-eyed, since now there were TWO dariens, each in the same position. The Darien A(the original Darien) straightened out, while Darien B(the clone) continued standing with his head bowed and his right fist in his left palm.
Darien A grinned, then walked forward, the other Darien staying put. He stood a few feet in front of Darien B, then stopped stretched, and attacked. His ran forward, jumping over Matt and landing on the other side of him, about ten feet in front of him. He would turn around, the grin still on his face. He would stand for maybe a second, or two, with Matt most likely turned and staring and him. Matt would feel a tap on his shoulder, then, as he turned around and before he even really got a good view of who was in front of him, a hard right punch from Darien B would fly toward his face.
"Say hello to my other Half, Matt." The thing with his other half: it was a perfect clone of himself. It wasn't made of energy, it wasn't controlled by Darien A, it had its own mind, and could only be recalled once Darien summoned it. It was living, breathing, and totally physical. While most Qi's relied on the energy of the host, or were purely elemental, this one was not. It had its own mind, and the only thing that was ever on it was fighting. The only weakness: its physical attributes were about half of Darien A's full capability. Matt now, instead of one, had two opponents to deal with.

Matrim watched and realized this was gonna be one of the few.
"F--- I can't catch a break....." Matrim watched as he was fading in and out almost...
Speed?
Then there were two of him.
"Uhh.... did I miss something?" He said as one of them jumped over him, he turned and looked, feeling a tap on his shoulder he turned back again.
"Say hello to my other Half, Matt." Other half's fist, meet my face. Face, meet other half's fist.
Of course, it didn't do much. The fist managed a full hit to his temple, but he noticed this kid was a lot weaker. This kid was weaker then the one he was fighting two seconds ago, and Matrim was now twice as tough. If you do the math, that turned things into his favor. Something his father knew how to do, knew how to teach, crowd control.
Matrim grabbed the wrist of the other half with his left hand, twisted the kids wrist clockwise while wrapping his right arm around the kids neck. The blow to his head had tickled, this kid seemed a bit slow also.
"And what happens if I choke him out?" Matrim asked twisting the clones wrist more and more hoping to hear a few painful cracks. "His punch seemed half assed, I'm guessing that's the trick. He's half assed through and through right?"
