Long tanned fingers worked their way through a cascade of short burnished locks. She was waiting for someone. Someone who was bound to pass by here soon...if she had grabbed the information. Dani had heard that this kid Mat had fucked up a teacher.

She wanted him.

Not in that dirty sexual way, but Dani needed that kind of muscle for the plans she had for this school.

She wanted blood.


And not from the students.

A tight black tank top wrapped around her torso like a second skin, she loved the way the cotton fabric felt on her bare skin. Normal jeans and her customary combat boots were also what she was wearing.

White teeth began to bite the bottom of her pink lips. Where the hell was this kid?

If she didn't get a rush soon, she might just go crazy. And here Dani had refrained from jumping of buildings or setting herself afire just so she could talk to guy without doing anything stupid.

Like try to get in his pants. But lord did she need adrenaline right now. The wide eyed gal could feel the lack of the A-gland in her veins.


Little bastard better hurry up, or she just might slice her throat open...or fuck the nearest thing in sight.

Matrim heard rumors of a girl who jumped from rooftops, he heard it from Jeremiah. Somehow, Matrim didn't care. If he wanted to, he could do the same. Would it sting? yeah a bit. Would he break a bone? Maybe. Not if his Qi was active though.

Matrim was walking around campus when he noticed a girl who fit the description of the healer. A girl who was biting her lip as if keeping from doing something.

Something like attempting suicide over and over, something like fighting?

"Hey," Matrim said, greeting the girl from about 10 feet away, calling out so she could hear clearly. He was barefoot, wearing Jeans with a tank top, his blue hair was gelled with the bangs splitting into two parts. He had replaced the necklace he gave to Reira with a hemp necklace he had all is life. His muscles were looking pretty good lately, he had been in pretty good shape afterall. "You wouldn't happen to be the girl who jumps off rooftops would you?"

Not that I care. I'm with Reira. A week ago, sure, yeah I would have been drooling over this girl calculating my chances at getting her phone number. (Yeah, thats what the calculations were for, numbers.) Now I just don't think I feel the same. It's not like our relationships lubby dubby or anything, but I am a gentleman.

"You ever just decide that no matter how many times you try, gravity is still just going to keep pulling you down?"

"Hey,"

Eh, looks could be deceiving, this school was a testament of that. Blue hair was little weird. But she had seen even crazier things over the life she'd led.


"You wouldn't happen to be the girl who jumps off rooftops would you?"

Dani grinned, " Damn right I am. You the shit who took out Micha?"

She really needed, Dani didn't want some lying bastard in her family.

That would be a no no.



"You ever just decide that no matter how many times you try, gravity is still just going to keep pulling you down?"

She stepped over closer, her combat boots making impressions in the grass. " That's what I count on. And gravity hasn't failed me yet."


She winked and held her hand, " Name's Dani. And if you really took out a teacher. I want you in my gang."

"That's a name I haven't heard in a long time," Matrim said, "Surprised you remember it, everyone seems to be forgetting that bitch ever existed."

Matrim shook her hand, "The name is Matrim, and you're damn straight I killed her. After all she's done. Besides, I'm not too happy with the management of this place."

Yeah... the teachers definitely piss me off. With two exceptions, Matrim and the Doc. Of course, I don't hate the teachers near as much as I hate this place. Hikari is the real problem.

"I'll have to pass on joining you in your reindeer games though," Matrim said, pulling at a bandana with the crest he and Alex decided on, "Got my own gig, me and the Hikari boy. Out of curiosity though, why do you want me? Because I killed someone?"

If she says because of the teachers I may just have to hug this girl. We may not be in the same gang, but we might be able to work together in the future. Of course, I also wanted to know how she handled herself in a fight. I also wanted to push her off a building just for the sheer being able to push someone off a building for once in my life.

" Gah, failure to extreme kid." Dani hung her head and placed her hands on her knees. " Alright new plan, snag members on my own!"

She slapped her knees and righted herself. Running her hand through her copper hair, she began to race through names of the students she knew.


This was going to take awhile.

" Why did I want you? I fucking hate this place. I hate the teachers, they're mini Hitlers with better toys."

There was no love for Dani and the teachers. She despised most teachers, for they all seemed to think that power was the only way to bring kids to heel.

It made her angry.



" I plan to be the atomic bomb to their Japan Mat. I'm going to cause so much....discomfort that eventually...we'll rule the school. That Matty boy, is a promise."


She didn't see why this kid couldn't be an asset to her dream, or dare she say it, a friend.

Lord knows for this to work she needed friends.

"Well," Matt said, thinking of his own plan. One with actual strategies, one with actual missions, actual goals, and keeping in mind the Qi power of the people in this plan, he thought of a girl who couldn't die. What would be the use in his plan for a girl who couldn't die you ask? Meat shield, suicide bomber, you name it. Of course, technically there would be a greater use then her Qi. Just the support in general really, "Good to know."

Dani. Well, thats interesting. You have your own little plan to get back at the teachers by... taking control of the school? Hold on!

"It'll never work." Matrim said, speaking up again, "In the end you'll get all your people killed, and selfishly you'll be the only one to live through it all. You can say what you want about the teachers, but dont put it past Artemis or Kane to kill someone when they feel threatened. In the end you'll be alone. But if you want to do something other then get a group of kids together for circle jerks and mass suicide, or even if you want a good fight, give me a call."

Matrim turned and walked away. He didn't feel much like arguing his point. He ran the plan over in his head, Jeremiah was right, if they were ever going to succesfully bring this school down and get out of here, they would have to do more then just act out like kids. Something this great needed careful thinking, long strategies, and a few decoys. The main decoy of all of course, Mat himself.

Good luck finding a group of suicidal kids.

Dani was shocked, what he'd think she was? Some kind of psycho path? That wasn't she had in mind at all. As wacko as she was she would never put another at risk.

Never.


What a little shit.

Dani's words fell on his retreating back, " Don't get it twisted little boy. I'm not going to make this into some gory bloody battle. I don't plan on that at all."

No she had much bigger plans, better plans.


Like taking down Solaris.


He was everything in this school, security, communication, everything. If he went, then it would be easier to shuttle kids out of here.

They could have a life again.


" No, I'm crazy, not stupid. I don't want anyone killed, not even the teachers. I just want to get out. Covertly. When I said I'd be the atomic bomb, I meant underground. Nobody knew we were building that shit till we dropped it. Getting kids out...that's the drop time."


Dani grinned at his back.


" So you little shit, can we be friends or what?"

[Matrim]

"Russians." Mat said, referring to the bomb comment, "They knew...."

Not answering her question right away might annoy her, but I don't really care. This is business, this is how I handle my business. Anyone who doesn't like it can shove it. Need time to think. Same goal, but overall I think I have a better plan. There needs to be covert movements, but getting out is half the battle. Jeremiah stated that clearly.

"To answer your last question," Matrim said, ignoring the fact she called him a little shit, "I think we have a few common goals in the end. Until then, let's just try not to piss each other off. I think we can both agree that a fight between me and you would be drawn out and pointless."

Not to mention great training, but I'd get too frustrated.

Matrim walked away holding his hand up as if saying 'later'. He knew the girl was annoyed with this whole thing. He could tell by the way she acted. The truth of the matter was, he had a better plan. One that didn't involve running away from this place with tails between legs. One that didn't just get people out, it got their names cleared. His plan trumped hers any day.

Of course, his was also a suicide mission if someone screwed up.
