The First Fight

[Corgan]

"It won't put you to sleep, but you won't like this." Corgan said as he winced slightly and he activated his Qi. Jolts of electricity coursed through him to Matrim. Matrim might have gotten tougher, but electricity wasn't effected by that. The jolts alone would force Matrim to let go as it was a large amount of it. Corgan didn't plan to use this at first, but hey, when one needed to do something they would.

Corgan would keep this up until Matrim let go. If Matrim somehow held on he would simply take more damage and it could calcify his bones, and that wasn't a good thing at all.
Hold onto a live-wire and see how you like it pal. he thought.

[Matrim]

Matrim laughed.

Matrim laughed hard.

Matrim laughed really hard.

"What are you? A Pikachu? And by the way... did I mention what else it does? It protects me from Qi abilities such as yours. One's that involve stuff like fire kicks or electricity. Just doesnt protect me from status changes. Of course, if your Qi ability was even a bit more advanced, that would have completely fried me."

He did it..... he finally heard the crack and pop.... the kids ankle was breaking and his knee cap was almost out of place, as it was this kid was out of commision for awhile when it came to the walking department.

"Like I said, unless it was an ability that puts me to sleep, confuses me... blinds me... basically status changes. Now. Submit."

He twisted the ankle more, breaking it slowly.

[Corgan]

Meh fine, I know when to give up. Thought Corgan as he let the Qi charge fade.
"Yeah fine. I know when I'm licked." Corgan said through a slightly strained voice. He wasn't exactly happy about this turn of events but internally he smiled, he knew the exact point where he had messed up and he wouldn't be one to repeat that little mistake. He would challenge this guy later and next time he wouldn't play around. The fight would be completely different. But it was better to stop now and make sure that rematch could come sooner.

[Matrim]

"Good. Well, since your man enough to admit defeat, I'm man enough to tell you that I got damned lucky in that fight." Matrim said, and to some extent it was true, "If you hadn't had gotten on the ground, and if you got me with your Qi ability before I put up mine, I might have been out for the count. Afterall, this doesnt protect me from previous injuries..."

Matrim released the kids ankle and knee, first replace the knee cap fully, then he released his Qi ability and got to his feet extending his hand out to Corgan, "Your ankle's a bit busted, I didn't fully break that thing, but it'd swell like a mother so you might need crutches for a bit. Till you get those I can help you back to the school."

This kids hits were tough... I'd hate to see what would happen if he had used his Qi when I landed on his kick earlier.....

[Corgan]

"Well as we are both in the mood to make confessions, you weren't lucky. I was stupid, you simply saw an opening and went for it. One could hardly call that luck."Corgan replied and after Matrim helped with his leg he got up.
"Thanks, a little ice and general easy stretching should have it good and healed in a couple of days. Soon enough for a rematch if you are willing." He said as he let Matrim give him a hand.

"An interesting Qi ability to repel an ability that doesn't rely on breaking you down. I'll have to keep that in mind when I go against you. By the way, I'm Corgan, whats your name?" he asked. Corgan hoped he had found a friend here. Someone that could beat him in a fight and could be a potential sparring partner and also showed good character. Corgan liked him already.

[Matrim]

"Matrim Gallagher, and yeah, the only problem as I said in our fight is if their Qi has nothing to do with enhancing the physical attack. Or if they have a more advanced level of Qi. Then my Armor gets overpowered and is dispersed."

Matrim made his way back, keeping next to Corgan if he needed to lean on him and limp his way back, "And yeah, I'm always down for a rematch. Someone's gotta keep me in shape and I'm sure we'll be able to get stronger if we keep up like this."

Matrim looked down at Corgans ankle, "So long as we don't go overboard...."

Corgan keeps his cool. That's what I like about him.

[Corgan]

"Cool. I'll heal up fast as I can." Corgan replied and offered his hand.
"Friends?" He asked. Corgan wanted things to end well today and to make a friend with someone like Matrim would be a great start. He had the feeling that if they kept up a constant rivalry, they could stay ahead of he other people at this school, not counting the teachers, they would be a different matter entirely.

I like this guy, he came out the victor and doesn't rub it in, that's rare these days. He thought.

Matrim took the hand, it was his father's habit too.

Most people these days hug or bump fists or high-five, you name it. My father always taught me to shake hands....

"Friends." Matrim said, finally releasing from the shake. This was the start of something, he knew from looking around the school that there were tough fighters such as themselves, but very few that would stand toe to toe with them.

It'd be nice to fight that Alex Hikari guy sometime....
