Kane sat quietly in the gathering room of his floor, waiting for his guests to arrive through the express elevator. Earlier that day Kane had extended an invitation to ‘The Doctor’ and Solaris/Chronos to meet in his room and talk about pressing matters, which weren’t really pressing, it was just a way to get them to show up right after school ended. He wanted to explain everything that was happening to the doctor and try to get Solaris to aid in the explanation.
Kane laid back on the couch and put his feet up on the glass top table, wondering when the people would show up. It was rather boring waiting…

A quiet day it was for the most part...some kids had earlier tried to break in yet another lock, rather unsuccessfully; they lay unconscious at the door they had tried to pick, courtesy of an electrical burst. They'd be fine in an hour or so. Solaris himself had business, something involving an invitation to a party? No...that wasn't it...oh well, he'd failed to catch the details, and it probably wouldn't have mattered anyway.
Solaris was the only personnel on school grounds without a MAC handy...for god sakes, he was a computer. Why would he need a MAC? Walking up to the door, he waved his hand, automatically transferring the codes, and then walking right in, no knock or anything.
"Good morning Mr. Hikari." He said as he shut the door behind him. AI or not, you gave respect to the people that required it...Mr. Hikari being one.

“Do I have to reprogram you so you stop calling me Mr. Hikari? I have said several times, Mr. Hikari was my father, and a very stupid old man, it’s a good thing he is dead.” Kane said in a slightly annoyed manner, he always refused to call himself Mr. Hikari because it was an embarrassing bit of information, he preferred to be called Kane. It was quite obvious that he preferred the relaxed type conversation as compared to the business like, completely restricted conversation where everyone had a stick up their ass.
He looked to Solaris and apologized to the threat he had made earlier. He was just a little annoyed at still being called that and he shouldn’t have taken it out on the AI…

The Doctor needed to be on time, but there was no way he was going to do that. He had been taking apart and putting back together his MAC several times, he was trying to figure out a way to upgrade it with technology of his own, it just needed more memory. Even though the amount of memory on these machines were ahead of their time for being so compact. "Never will get used to this place.... it's hundreds of years beyond it's time...."
He decided it would be rude to be late, and it would be rude to use his sonic screwdriver, but what else could he do? His MAC was in pieces and it would take a few minutes to put it back together.
"I guess.... I have no other choice then.... where is Solaris!?!?!?" He went to the control panel of the TARDIS and tracked the nanites which form his body, with any luck he would be in physical form somewhere around the school, afterall Solaris was supposed to be there too. "BINGO! He's already... there... see? I knew it! I knew I was going to be late..."
He quickly set the TARDIS to follow Solaris, this was going to be more rude then the sonic screwdriver, but at least it wouldn't set off Solaris' alarm. Hopefully he wasn't going to be killed by Kane, however. The TARDIS made it's shift, it's trademark noise which was annoying for some, but music to him. It blinked into existence slowly in the very room Solaris and Kane were standing in, the Doctor grabbed his coat, threw it on and walked out the door, shutting it behind him completely.
"Well then, sorry I'm a bit late, just catching up on some paperwork and all. So then, Kane, Solaris, how are we all doing on this lovely day?"

“Welcome Doctor,” Kane said without hesitation as the man climbed out of the abnormal little machine of his, “it is understandable that you are a bit late, what with tinkering with our little toys…” he held up his MAC as a reference “…I can see practically everything you do in this building and I can tell that you are quite intrigued by what is done inside said building, more specifically the technology that runs it. And I offer you and Solaris a chance to see it. “but there is a little thing I require of you in return for access to such knowledge. I need you to help me secure what I show you, for I worry that it can far too easily be taken.” he gestured to the express elevator that sat down the only hallway that didn’t have a light on in it. After the gesture he stood up and looked to Solaris saying “there are no holographic projectors or cameras in the room so you will have to use your nanite form and sustain it as thoroughly as possibly because the room tends to not like technology.”

"Can you ever use the door for once Doc?" Solaris shook his head once. The doors were there for a REASON...if Solaris had known the doors would be completely unneeded, he'd just block them in with cement or something. But rather...he supposed the students could still use them. Oh whatever, Solaris had his own quirks...so it wasn't fair to criticize.
“There are no holographic projectors or cameras in the room so you will have to use your nanite form and sustain it as thoroughly as possible because the room tends to not like technology."
Oh fun, it wasn't often he'd used a pure nanite form. Solaris nodded and shifted into a miniature of himself, nay about a foot tall, then floated to the Doc's shoulder, and sat himself down. "Alright then...Kane, let's see what you have."

The Doctor listened and listened well. This was partially what he wanted, although he really wanted to see what made Solaris tick more then anything. He wondered if it was a mistake to bring the MAC into his TARDIS. He knew they couldn't see the inside of the TARDIS, but they might still be able to monitor the MAC's condition inside of it.
"Useful." The doctor said in a cheery tone in response to the MAC Kane was holding up. The Doctor hoped they couldn't see the TARDIS at least... he would have to make some modifications. The Doctor was excited to see what Kane had in store, he was also frightened if even Kane didn't want this technology getting out. The Doctor knew he would become more paranoid then Kane could imagine.
Apparently Solaris didn't have camera's down there, Doctor wondered this for a second. He wondered what it would be like if Solaris had no eye on this equipment when he himself was the most advanced thing the Doctor had come in contact with before the 30th century. Solaris then became miniature and sat on his shoulder.
"Well then," The Doctor said smiling, having a miniature nanite being with such intelligence and soul on his shoulder made him feel special, and quite big. "Couldn't have said it better myself, Solaris. Shall we be off then, Kane?"

Kane walked over to the elevator and pressed the call button only to have it open almost instantly and reveal a large elevator with glass walls all around. He walked in and pressed the bottom button labeled only with three stars surrounding a skull, the skull being the button itself. Suddenly a light below flared to life and the elevator was ready to move. Before the others walked in though he quickly typed in his password into the onboard computer and retrieved the authorization codes for entry. Inside the elevator was a spectacular view of the school grounds, showing the expanse of beauty that had been erected for this school alone. As the elevator slowly moved lower and lower towards the disk of light it seemed to pulse and the world around it shimmered. The elevator dropped lower and lower, moving ever on into the great void of light until it was enveloped in the light and suddenly jerked. It seemed as though the whole thing had only moved twenty feet but in reality that had already gone beyond every floor, past the first basement and into a second, well hidden basement. The ring of light had been a transporter and it had brought them down into the lower reaches of the tower. As the doors opened Kane held out his hand and said “Welcome to project Omega…”

The elevator ride felt different from most. The Doctor quickly and discreetly used his sonic screwdriver behind is back to gather information on the speed of travel, turns out they were transported.
The elevator doors opened, Kane seemed proud as he stretched out his arms and said, "Welcome to project Omega..."
The Doctor knew from first glance that this technology was ahead of it's time, he expected that. Still, to him everything seemed like a hunk of junk in comparison to what he was expecting. He expected to run into something like a Dalek or Cybermen. Something that would explain the technology and security of this school.
"Uhh.... not to be awfully rude... " The Doctor said walking out of the elevator and into the room. "But... what is all this, what does it do?"
Any other occasion the Doctor would simply use his sonic device to scan these things, but Kane had mentioned earlier, "because the room tends to not like technology.” The Doctor automatically assumed it was best not to use his Sonic device if he could get the information from Kane himself. Afterall, if he wanted it secret, he must know the secret he wanted to keep.

Solaris had shifted to his miniature form in order to preserve his structural integrity, but as soon as the transport was over, he could..."feel" something per se...it was cold, it felt as if his body was being frozen. He could resist it, but it was rather uncomfortable being down here. "Welcome to project Omega..." These must have been where the strange signals were coming from. Ever since the activation, there were odd power fluctuations coming from this area, but none were identifiable.
Solaris shifted atop the Doc's shoulder. "I could ask the same question..."

Kane looked around the room as he ran a hand across the wall, the colors of it shifted as his fingers moved across. “everything in this room is strange, its all made with a form of metal I found in the artic circle… the very center of it of course. We were digging in the bottom of the ocean up above and I came across a shiny ore that looked a lot like iron. Well I figured what the hell, I will pull it out and it reacted strangely. If you would like an example doctor, try to bring one of your creatures from that machine of yours into here, they wont be around for more than a couple seconds.” the lines where his fingers turned blood red as he spoke of the creatures but turned to icy blue when he said they wouldn’t survive, as if it got angry at the though of an intruder and then calmed down at the complement paid. “that machine in the center can take a Qi power, alter it, amplify it, and synthesize the new creation, but that’s not all, it can also forcefully activate a Qi that currently exists in the subjects body, though it is excruciatingly painful.” Kane looked around the room and smiled as a small tube was released from the machine. He reached out and took it saying “Thank you Wilson…” he poured the liquid inside onto the ground and as it made contact it formed a piece of technology. Quite rapidly Kane swept it up and tossed it to the wall. Suddenly the metal came alive and seemed to form a body straight from the ghosts of horror movies, the hand of the body reached out and snatched the machine and quickly shoved it in its mouth. After doing so the thing phased back into the wall and disappeared.

"This has to be contained.... and I don't mean kept secret Kane.... this... being. It has to be contained, if this were in the wrong hands, somebody could alter it. Somebody could use it and become too powerful and too fast."
The Doctor then contemplated everything in his head. Could it work for him? Even though he isn't human? In fact, that should make it less painful if anything. Maybe even make it more effective. Could it kill him? He had to give it a try. At least one try.
"Maybe...... maybe I shoud...." Maybe I should wait.... "That is to say, I can lock this up. I can make it secure, even to my sonic device. Secure even to Solaris here. It would be one key, and only the keyholder could open it. That key would be your responsibility. Can you be trusted with that responsibility, Kane?"

“I can see the path of your thinking doc, and it seems you want to use the machine, be my guest… I’m very good in the medical department so we could patch ya up till we can find a place to heal ya if ya do get hurt.” he held out his arm to the machine as yet another synthetic Qi came out, this time the fluid was pinkish and Kane set it aside. And once again extended an invitation for the doctor to use the machine. “and I would like one of those little key things you were talking about.

"Kane.... if I got hurt and you took a look inside me, trust me when I say you wouldn't know the first thing to do in case of so much as a stomach ache....." The Doctor didn't care if they knew, but just them. "Just keep that information to yourself you two, I'd like to tell people everything when the time comes."
The Doctor turned back towards the machine. "Wilson, is it?" The Doctor eyed the machine. What would this do to my Qi.... It's not that I create the creatures with them, it's that I talk to the ship.... I talk to it and in turn control time and space with my Qi... if I completed it, I could willingly bring the time vortex to me.... would it still come at a cost? would I still die every time I used it?
The Doctor suddenly remembered the curiousity in him. The Time Lord blood which drove him to travel and see and sometimes correct the time line if need be.
"Alright.... let's do this thing."

Kane looked to the machine as three clamp like arms came out and started to glare. His voice took on a stern sense “Wilson, be nice to the doctor, he is helping you remember? And if you be nice enough then you will get a new body ok?” he looked from it to the doctor and then suddenly the clamp like arms retracted back and the floor suddenly grew to create a padded recliner chair with locking pieces in the arms and foot stool. Small robotic arms came from the machine with a strong liquid pain killer and an empty syringe with a sharp needle. Kane paused and looked to the doctor before the procedure began and said “Its gonna take a sample of your blood, a small piece of hair, a small piece of skin, and a scraping from one of your bones to replicate and enhance your natural Qi ability, are you still sure you want to do this? The last one is beyond pain one should have to endure.”
