"This whole roof..is a..lightening rod...,' Reira muttered, blinking and gulping down a wave of panick. This day couldn't get any worse could it? Okay, now she really really wanted to get off this roof! Any doubts of him not being able to teleport properly was gone. It was that or nothing. She asked if he could perform the phase, he said he could.
It's not too high.
Just 40 or more stories up..
With strong winds and pouring rains...
Can't be too hard to get down ahahaha, right....
They made their way to the edge of the rooftop, Reira focusing on not slipping on the slick metal. Looking over the edge, Reira felt her stomach prance about like it was on drugs. No time to worry about that though. Aternity had taken his coat back, and Reira immediately felt the cool caress of the wind and rain. She grabbed his hand greatfully, like it was her only lifeline...well technically it was. He could always just abandon her up here, saving himself. She had met a kind person indeed.
"Alright Reira. I recommend you hang on."
"Right, no problemo," she said, squeezing his hand tighter. By this point in time, she was used to the feeling of teleporting..but wait..why did they have to stand so close to the edge? The could have stood at a safer vantage, and just as easily have teleported.
Oh...
Hell..
Aternity had jumped, dragging her along with him. Reira screamed long and loud. She was bad with heights, so it was only natural. Her scream sounded so loud to her that she couldn't hear the raging of the elements.
She felt her fingertips slip from him, a very very bad thing! She had to be in physical contact with him in order for her to phase along with him. Frantically, Reira flailed her arms and legs about, almost like she was swimming, to once again grab onto him, any part of him. Reaching out, she got hold of his arm again.
The ground was approaching faster and faster. Holding onto him with a deathgrip, she shut her eyes and held her breath, awaiting their fate.
