Nationality:
USA
Ethnicity:
That of the human race…T___T
Age:
61
Position:
School doctor.
Height:
6 feet, 2 inches.
Weight:
200 pounds.
Hair Color:
Brown with a decent amount of salt and pepper in it..
Eye Color:
Light Blue.
Appearance:
Tall, average build, blue eyes, dark hair. He walks with a noticeable limp on his right side, and uses a cane.
Tends to dress very casually.
Personality:
House is not an easy man to deal with. He's cynical and sarcastic and has a keen ability to pick apart people's weaknesses. He has little use for social niceties or bedside manner. He's more interested in the science of medicine than in helping people. He likes to solve puzzles, and he likes to be right. Since his accident he's become increasingly bitter, towards the hospital, the government, pretty much everyone. He sees himself as outside the mainstream, something of a non-conformist if not an anarchist. House's character frequently shows his cunning and biting wit, enjoys picking people apart, and often mocks their weaknesses. House accurately deciphers people's motives and histories from aspects of their personality and appearance. His crankiness is commonly attributed to the chronic pain in his leg. For his chronic leg pain, House takes Vicodin on a daily basis, and as a result has developed an addiction to the drug. He concedes that he has an addiction, but says that the addiction is not a problem because it does not interfere with his work.
Fighting Style:
House doesn’t usually fight ever, but if he was to it would be the following.
House isn’t strong, tough, agile, mobile or anything that would be usually used to describe a typical fighter. He is, however, very fast in terms of his arms’ speed and very smart about how he fights. He knows where and how to hit, since he is very familiar with pressure spots and nerve endings. He always, if not mostly, uses his cane as his weapon wielding it like a rapier. His cane has a titanium rod in it so if need be he’ll bash your skull in.
Strengths:
His cane, his smarts and the speed of his arms are his strengths.
Weaknesses:
His limp and constant pain gets in the way of his movement. Like it was mentioned earlier, House isn’t strong, tough, agile, mobile or anything that would be usually used to describe a typical fighter.
History:
House grew up bouncing between the various colonies on Nanashi and sometimes Oublié; his father was a black market arms dealer and during House's childhood there was a run of bad years where they hardly had enough to scrape by. The best times for House were when they would settle someplace long enough that he could find books and learn
everything he could. He was extremely clever, though because of hi father he grew up rather hard and cynical. As soon as he was old enough to leave his parents, he settled into one of the colonies on Oublié, apprenticing under a doctor there, as he didn't have enough money to go to Miranda and attend medical school.
For years he scraped and saved and finally had enough to move to Miranda and take the entrance exam - and scored high enough to get a scholarship. When he finished school, he worked in the hospital for a few years, but then went back to Oublié, figuring that he owed his former mentor the benefit of his new knowledge. Though he didn't have the sort of equipment or resources available in a real hospital, at least he didn't have anyone telling him what to do, didn't have to deal with the bureaucracy, so he planned to take charge of the medical center in a few years when the doctor retired. It was a small one even by Oublié's standards, a bit off the beaten path, and the colony built up around it didn't have the population of some of the larger colonies. As a result, medical supplies and equipment were sometimes late in coming. However, it turned out to be even worse than that.
When House was making his way back from a patient's house, he was bitten by a venomous reptile indigenous to that region of the planet. Under normal circumstances, he would have been fine. However, when he got back to the medical center and the doctor in charge got ready to administer the anti-venom... it turned out that there wasn't any. The box that should have contained anti-venom for all of the appropriate animals in the region was only half full - apparently they'd gotten the leftovers from the last shipment from Miranda, and hadn't even been told. The way that the venom worked... it basically ate away at the living cells in House's leg, leaving masses of dead muscle. It took three days to get House to the hospital on Miranda, and by then the damage was irreversible.
House refused a prosthetic limb, despite all medical advice to the contrary. He managed to keep his leg, though he walks with a pronounced limp and a cane, which is very unusual given the advancements in medicine and prosthetics. He supposedly keeps the pain under control with prescribed painkillers, but he actually keeps a steady supply of stronger drugs from the black market. They're the only thing that can keep the pain completely under control.
At the age of 61, House decided that he wanted to find a cushy job somewhere different instead of the hectic life of a doctor. He was tired of it. That’s where he saw an advertisement in the papers for a position as a doctor in a new high school in Japan. A school doctor!! That is it! High school brats were nothing, this would be the simple life for House from now on. He was wrong. This school was different….This school gave him something life had yet to offer him anywhere else….Entertainment….Yes this school kept House busy….yes he would mold the minds of these little fucks and have his fun at the same time.
Plus, now that he was a master of chemistry and a doctor, he has all the access to the school utilities and chemicals….Hahaha, he’d never have to pay for his usual fix again.
