Oliver was leaning on the open window on the passenger side of the police car. He had managed to talk the officer into letting him sit up from because the backseat was too uncomfortable and because he had been so docile on the ride to his new home away from home. The officer was babbling about something while he drove through the wastelands but the boy ignored him and only nodded or grunted in the affirmative whenever the babbling paused. Oliver wasn't too thrilled about being shuffled to this 'High Security School' but he dealt with it. Even though he had plead not guilty in the courts he knew he was responsible for the deaths of many and the destruction of even more property.
Oliver looked up when the officer nudged him in the side and told him they were almost there. He saw a few trees and a large menacing fence. He wondered if he could blow the hinges off of it or maybe destroy the lock, but he suppressed these thoughts and slumped back in his seat. The cop looked at him and spoke in broken English, "You be fine, not look nice, but its nice place." Oliver grunted again and squeezed his fists together. The officer had let him be cuffed in the front, not a very bright officer, but a friendly one to say the least, and Oliver really didn't like the look of handcuffs. He hoped that he wouldn't have to wear them while he was in the School.
When they got to the gate of the fence the officers went through formalities and soon enough they were through and Oliver could now see the Tower clearly. It was menacing enough, but he had already figured that this place wasn't going to look to happy. He was surprised to find out though that there was only one fence and there didn't appear to be very many guards. After driving for a bit he saw the actual school buildings and they seemed like any other High School he had ever seen. "This isn't a prison...its summer camp..." He mused to himself. This time the officer ignored Oliver as they pulled up to the Tower.
"Here is your stop kid." The officer removed Oliver's handcuffs. "Have fun at school. Maybe see you around." Oliver opened the door to the cop car and stepped into the fresh air and sun. He closed the car door behind him and looked around. He saw people milling around but it was hard to tell if they were prisoners or visitors. "This place might not be so bad after all...." He stretched and yawned wondering where he could get some food.
