That's what it was, Poppycock.
Well, that's what she thought of her sentence anyway, and the general idea where she had restricted access around the school because of the level of her conviction. That's the fun thing about being a minor and being convicted to the Death Penalty. They had to wait to get you. See, not only did they have to wait to get her into death row, for at least two more years, but they also had to wait for her execution date to come up, which could be another ten years. Or so.
Ah the beauty of being a serial killer. She was known as AVK, just her initials. But what she did to her victims, that was the fun bit. She'd skin them, and eat the skin. Then after she was done with that bit, she'd tear the muscle off the back of the skull, and eat that, then carve the letters AVK into the back of the skull.
Then she'd remove the organs, and rearrange them in the body, sewing it all back together. The whole process takes about ten hours, but she made sure her victims were killed in a secure location before she started taking them apart.
"I'll get off the penalty. No doubt about it."
They'd never be able to tie all thirty six to her. She never left any biological evidence, she never admitted to the crime, she never left any fingerprints, or other evidence. The only reason why she was arrested was because of her family background, and her initials.
No one could ever pin Valekin to a crime. They knew he did it, they just could never get the evidence. This was their way at getting back at him. For what? Cleaning their cities? That's what he did, got rid of scum criminals that did terrible things. And put together a criminal network that actually helped out.
Alaya knew that it was only a matter of time until Natasha signed the papers that lowered her sentence from the death penalty, to life in prison. And if she could get life in prison, then she could escape, and join up with the organization.
A sound reached her ears, it was... footsteps on the grass.
