"There really is no getting out of this place, figures. I really pissed off dad this time," Reira said to herself, under the shade of a tree.
It was a sunny day, although it looked like it was going to rain soon. Dark clouds loomed across the horizon, and were approaching rapidly with the gales of wind. Reira didn't mind too much, as long she got into the shelter of the school before it began to pore, a small shower was nothing. Besides, how the wind swayed the treetops made a great sketch idea. Such an eerie azure. With her sketchbook on her lap she began to faintly draw the horizen line, along with everything surrounding it.
Drawing always took her mind off the many troubles she now carried. It was nothing she couldn't handle, but it was nice to get a break every now and then. So she poured her time and effort in drawing that one sketch. She caught every single detail and the picture really emphasized an incoming storm.
I guess I should get going...the rain is coming.
A single drop fell on her nose, followed by many more. Packing up her stuff in her bag, she was just about to head for the school when she realized her iPod wasn't in its rightful spot in her hoodie pocket. She assumed it fell out when she was drawing, so she quickly searched around where she was sitting.
Ah here it is, how stupid it was for me to dro---I can see my breath...oh hell not here to!
Looking up from her spot on the ground, she came face to face with a spirit. Startled she jumped to her feet and backed away slowly. The spirit was only a black shadow, with no apparent detail what so ever, yet it gripped his heart feircely with one hand, and held the other outstretched towards her.
"Not now alright! Go away I can't help you!," she spat running like hell away from the thing, not once looking back. She made it to the school and leaned against the wall to catch her breath.
Ever since she was little she could see them. They never really scared her anymore, only the ones that were tormented and tried to touch her, such as the one she just encountered. She may be considered weird for it, but it was life for her...to be able to communicate with the dead. No one knew about it. Not even her parents. It was her secret.

OOC: sorry for short post
Mat saw the girl, he saw her retreating from the rain. He knew she was new. He considered himself the welcoming wagon, although his only welcome so far ended in a fight.
Huh....
"Not now alright! Go away I can't help you!,"
Is she talking to herself? Weird.
Matrim was wearing a white button up shirt completely unbuttoned, jeans and barefoot. It was warm, it was about to get really cold. But Matrim didn't care. He liked the cold. The black venetian ring hung from his neck. He approached the girl who he found cute, although a little weird to say the least.
"I'm guessin your new here? I'm Matt Gallagher. Consider me the welcoming wagon."
Same introduction he'd given his room mate.

OOC(( hope you dont mind my intrusion))
Jeremiah crossed the school grounds, on his way to greet the new student who arrived at the gate. On his way, he noticed a pink haired girl go running past, shouting somthing about getting away from her. He frowned. 'What the hell what that about?' he thought to himself. Looking down at his watch, he was ircked to see he still had about half an hour before that new student would arrive, so he decided to follow the girl and see what she was up to.
Rounding the corner he had see he go around, he saw her leaning against the wall, Matt was there, talking about being the welcoming wagon. He walked over, and, giving a little nod to matt, pointed with a thumb back the way the girl had come.
"Somebody back there bother you? You sounded like you were running from something..." His voice was friendly, and not at all provocative like it normally would be in the presence of a female. He wasnt really interested in female attention lately, what with so much else going on in the school, it just wasnt first priority these days.

OCC: Nope don't mind at all! And your post is fine Joe "I'm guessin your new here? I'm Matt Gallagher. Consider me the welcoming wagon."Reira let out a small gasp when she noticed a boy standing beside her. She was half expecting it to be the spirit again. Sighing softly in relief to herself she answered. "Reira DeMorvick," she said examining him. He had an ubuttoned shirt, was barefoot and had a lovely necklace with a ring on it around his neck. "The welcome wagon huh? Does the welcome wagon have any other special treatments besides a welcome? Perhaps showing me around?" She never really got a proper tour of the whole school, and she might as well try to make some friends. Afterall, she was going to be here for a while. As she was waiting for his response, she began to re-tie her knee high black All Stars, which had come undone in her run. She also just caught her breath again, it was hard running in a mini skirt. Much to her surprise another boy came to join her. Well at least people actually make the effort to welcome new students here, unlike my other school. "Somebody back there bother you? You sounded like you were running from something..." "Uhh.." Oh crap!! Don't tell me they saw that whole scene! They must think I'm some weirdo...well I am a weirdo, but they're not supposed to have saw what happened there..excuse? I need an excuse.."Oh hahaha! That over there, it was nothing. I was talking on my cell here," she reached into her hoodie pocket and pulled out her ipod. "Wait, I meant MAC. Which is here! Then I started running because I didn't want my hair to get wet frome the rain..." This time she sucessfully found her MAC. "I was talking to a friend of mine.." Cause that was bloody brilliant....

Her words were go away I can't help you.... some friend she must be.
Matrim watched her tying her shoe's and making excuses as Jeremy showed up too. "Oh hey." Matrim said to Jeremy. They were usually men of few words between each other. Of course, sometimes there was more said, but generally had an understanding without the need to talk.
This girls weird.... but she's kind of cute...
"Well Reira DeMorvick, I'd be happy to show you around school." Matrim turned and began to walk. He was going slow enough for her to either follow him or stand next to him whichever one she chose. Jeremy was also free to come along if he wished. Since he seemed so determined to be a knight in shining armor.
"That tall building over there, that's the tower, a lot of stuff we can't get into with our security clearance is over there, except for the ground floor where the infirmary is at. Emma is the name of the school nurse in case you need any medical attention."
Matrim continued on and decided to make small talk as they went along, "So how'd you get landed here? You don't seem like a criminal to me..."
Please don't say you killed your ex boyfriend Please don't say you killed your ex boyfriend Please don't say you killed your ex boyfriend....
He repeated that in his head until he heard his answer.

Jeremy frowned.
What a liar.
He looked at his watch, the time showing he only had a few minutes to go and get the student and take him to where he needed to go. Lucky for him he was getting paid for it. He turned, looked to the gate, and saw the figures standing there. He shrugged.
"Well, in that case, ill take my leave, no reason to stick around, and besides, ive got other business i need to take care of." He gave Matt a wink. "Have fun you guys."
He turned, and headed toward the gate, his mind mulling over why the girl would take off running so quickly, then lie about it.
He'd find her and ask her later.
OOC(( not much else to do, kinda binded jeremy in with the whole "meet the kid" routine. You guys go ahead, jeremy take his short entrace and exit in stride))

I must look like a horrible person. Who treats a friend like that? I should've said it was my brother or ex or something..would that even make things any better? Oh well...obviously they know I was lieing. They can't be that stupid, but like hell I would tell them the truth, then they'd really think something was wrong with me.
She smiled slightly and started to walk beside Matt, thinking the other boy was going to come along to, but didn't instead he took his leave, his last words being 'Have fun you guys'. Reira's looked very unimpressed at the way he said those words. She waited for him to turn his back, then she stuck out her tongue at him.
He's only going to show me around..jeesh.
She continued to walk beside Matt, as he began to explain about the center tower that was pretty much off limits to students. Emma was the nurses name, she made a mental note to remember it.
"So how'd you get landed here? You don't seem like a criminal to me..." The question caught her slightly off gaurd.
"Got caught shop lifting. I know, stupid. But I guess I'll just have to deal with it. What about you? How'd you end up here?"
She noticed that Matt was very fit, and had a handsome face. Either way, she could see him being a criminal. It was like a light bulb went on in her mind. It happened so fast.
Gallagher..I know that name! My mom used to talk about a Luke Gallagher to me all the time.. what a coincidence, to find someone with the same last name, guess it must be pretty common.
"Just to be random," she said casually, "I used to know of a Gallagher."

Good deal! she didn't kill her ex-boyfriend.
"Shop lifting huh? Pretty intense punishment...." Matrim began to tell the story, "Long story short two counts of murder, but in my defense I'm innocent of that, they shot at me and I sorta bounced the bullets off my body...."
"Just to be random, I used to know of a Gallagher."
Matrim was caught off guard, he was asked about his name all of the time outside of this place, but someone inside here actually recognized it finally.
"I get that a lot, my grandfather and great uncle were in a band called Oasis, my father Luke also was a famous musician. So it's not uncommon for people to know my father or his father."
Yessss finally someone who I can brag my rich and famous side too....
wait.... I spent all the money....
and technically I'm not the famous one... I'm just a criminal.....
and not even a succesful one at that, although I did kill Micha. That I did very well.
Luke turned to her, stopping for a moment, "So, what Gallagher did you know?"

"Well it wasn't the first time I was caught shop lifting, so when I didn't learn my lesson, they sent me here. You were either wearing a thick sweater, or your skin is rubber or something! Bullets bouncing off your body, intense!"
He then responded to her other statement.
"I get that a lot, my grandfather and great uncle were in a band called Oasis, my father Luke also was a famous musician. So it's not uncommon for people to know my father or his father."
There was only really one word that she heard in his sentence. Luke. It was like a slap in the face. Could it really be the Luke? The Luke that her mother was so depressed over.
Why am I feeling so worked up? So maybe he is Luke's son. The son of the man my mom once loved. Who cares! It's not like I care about my mom...but maybe he knows where she is...wait..I dont even want to know where she is!
Reira didn't even notice that she stopped mid stride.
"I knew a Luke Gallagher...well I didn't really know him, but someone I did know, knew him really well." She laughed slightly then. "My mom knew him, she went to the same school as him back in the day...I think it was called 253. He's probably not your dad right? Just some person with the same name...strangely enough."
This is too much. I hate talking about my mom. It only brings up the same questions over and over agian. Why would she leave me?

"It's sorta this thing I can do.... it's like Armor, except it's on my skin directly, and can't be seen..... weird I know, but everyone around here can do something different."
Matrim stopped and looked down. He listened to what she said, he ran it over in his head time and time again.
253.... Samara.... pink hair..... black venetian glass ring.... dad..... dead....
"Yeah...... that's him." Mat said not sure whether he wasn't going to cry or laugh if he let himself do anything but keep a serious look, "Luke Gallagher, son if Liam, went to 253 and met a girl who was his world. She went away he was stuck there to stay until he found someone else years later. Realized he didn't love her as much as he did Samara, and died of a broken heart five years ago."
Matrim looked up. He was one step closer to fulfilling his father's last wish.
"Where is your mother?"
Matrim was given specific instructions, bury his father by his grandfather, check. Find Matrim in order to be raised the way his father wanted him to, check. Find Samara or a family member of hers, give the ring back to it's rightful owner. Matrim believed in fate for just one moment as he realized all the events that led him here.
He wondered, he wondered what this made him and the girl. He knew he felt something for her even though she was weird, but that was a normal feeling of his right? The same stupid crush he got on every girl he met....
but usually he coudln't talk to them so easily without feeling nervous. Was that good or bad?

Reira felt her chest tighten as she listened intently to what Matt was saying...about how his father died of a broken heart, because of her mother. For some reason she felt a wave of sadness wash over her.
"Yeah..it sounds like something my mother would do. Leave the ones who love her and break their hearts." She failed to mention the part about how her mother left Luke only because her great uncle Rias was after her and Demitri.
"Where is your mother?"
She never really talked about her mother so openly before. Reira didn't even talk about her mother to her dad, let alone some boy she just met today. It was hard. There were so many confusing feelings and bottled up emotions. Today, for some reason, she felt like talking about her. Maybe it was because Matt was Luke's son...
"Good question. I'd like to know that aswell. If I did know her whereabouts, I'd give her a piece of my mind! Tell her how much I hate her. Serves her right for abandoning my father and I..."
Reira had both hands balled at her sides. She was squeezing them shut so hard, that her knuckles were turning white.
Funny, the first person to greet me, knows more about my true feelings towards my mother then even my father knows. How pathetic is that. I let my gaurd down..
Regaining some of her composure, she said softly. "I don't want to talk about my mom anymore....and I apologize that her actions led to your fathers death. She only left him because..her uncle and his mafia were trailing her and her family."
So I ended up telling him that fact afterall..

Matrim listened to her speak, he listened well,
"Good question. I'd like to know that aswell. If I did know her whereabouts, I'd give her a piece of my mind! Tell her how much I hate her. Serves her right for abandoning my father and I..."
Matrim realized what he might need to do.
"I don't want to talk about my mom anymore....and I apologize that her actions led to your fathers death. She only left him because..her uncle and his mafia were trailing her and her family."
"Of course," Matrim said, lifting his necklace up, standing in front of her now he put the necklace over her head letting it drop down, "I'm sorry your mother left you, I can't imagine what it might be like to go through that."
He was close to her after putting the necklace on, a little too close for comfort, Matrim felt slightly akward, but not really. He saw that she was angry at the moment thinking of her mother. He felt strange, he felt different somehow. He felt kinder almost, but at the same time he still knew the type of person he was, he didn't give hugs, he didn't pat the back of his friends for sympathy, but he imagined what it would be like to have actually had a mother.
He imagined what it might be like to actually have a friend.
He imagined for one moment in his life that he had someone close to him that was still alive, and what he might do if she were feeling some emotional frustration or pain. So he tilted his head down, put his right hand on the side of her head, and kissed her forehead.
He turned around and took a few steps, "Give that to her, if you ever meet her again." Referring of course to both the kiss and the ring, he started walking again to show her the rest of the school, "you coming?"

Reira didn't move or say anything when Matt placed the necklace he was wearing only moments ago, around her neck. It certainly was a gorgeous ring, but why was he giving it to her. They had only just met, it wasn't normal in her books to give people gifts when they had only started talking to eachother less then ten minutes ago, but at that moment, Reira didn't say anything.
She feared that if she didn't accept this mysterious ring, their bond of friendship they just made would be damaged. If you could call it friendship. They only had a bond because their parents knew eachother back in the days, it wasn't necessarily friendship, but it was better then nothing. At least now she wouldn't be so alone at this school and maybe, just maybe, she could come to forgive her mother. If only she understood.
Snapping out of her inner thoughts, she only just realized how close Matt was. He was so close that she could feel his breath on her forehead. Before she knew it, he had put his hand on her cheek and gave her a gentle kiss on the forehead. It was a strange feeling that coursed through her now. She was never really good with boys, even though her best friend, Simon, was boy. She never had a boyfriend, or was even kissed by one. So when Matt kissed her on the forehead, she felt her cheeks grow hot.
"Give that to her, if you ever meet her again." He had said, his back towards her. At least he wouldn't see her blush. It was embarassing.
"Thanks, I will...," was all she managed to get out. She quickly recovered. "Yeah I'm coming." Soon she was walking in pace with him.
"But the next time you try to get that close to me again, I'm going to have to knock you one in the head, capeesh," she said with a big grin. "Lead the way, o' welcome wagon."
Reira closed a hand over the ring. He believes I will see my mother again. Until now, I thought that wasn't even possible...but who knows, maybe now, it can happen. She could feel a laugh coming along. Simon is going to piss his pants when he hears that some random boy kissed me today.

The ring belonged to her. It belonged to her mother, Matrim would have told her that, but maybe she would have rejected the ring. Maybe she thinks he's weird, and maybe she'd wonder why a total stranger had kissed her forhead but that wasn't the way Matt saw it.
She is.... without a doubt.... the closest person to me thats a girl... and she doesn't even know it. Just like Matrim Aldon is the closest thing I have to a father, Alex is the closest thing I have to a friend, she is the closest person to me that is a girl. I dont know what that means yet, but thats just how it is.
Matrim would never admit this to her, especially considering how little he meant to her in comparison. They had just met afterall.
"Fine by me, although I doubt someone like you could so much as scratch me...." Matrim said, he was a little too serious sometimes, this might have been one of those times. He couldn't help it, he just completely acted out of what he normally did and it was uncomfortable to say the least. Her comment about not doing it again didn't exactly help the shy factor, "Those are the dorms. The boys are there, see? And the girls are over there. Make sure to double check the dorm assignment's so you know where you'll be staying."
Matrim knew the rest of the tour would be boring, and he had made the mistake of bringing up personal stuff for the last time, so he began walking towards certain area's she'd definitely need to know.
"That area over there is where we meet up for Saturday lessons, those are mandatory by the way. The principal has an interesting sense of humor when it comes to waking people up for those." He walked on trying to stay a step ahead of her to hide his face. He hadn't touched another person except to punch them in five years, and he was feeling overly embarrased and plenty of other emotions he didn't care to feel after that kiss he gave her. He had kissed sephora's hand, but this different for some reason. This mattered to him.
"And that's the history class... it's.... " Luke said remembering seeing his father the first class, "It's.. good. The instructor knows what he's talking about..."

For some reason, Reira was in a very good mood. She was sad just a moment ago, reminising about her past, but now she felt jovial. A weird comparison to Matt, who all of a sudden got really serious.
"Fine by me, although I doubt someone like you could so much as scratch me...."
She just stared at him with a funny look and blinked a couple of times. Of course she couldn't put a scratch on him, but her last statement was simply a joke. She began to wonder if he took offense to it.
Oh wow..I hope I didn't offend him! He's really fit, so he probably has a big ego..I don't want him to hate me! I wonder if he thinks that I hate him, because I dont..it's just that ...well I'm not sure right now. I just need some time...and I really don't want this to be the last day I see him.
"I'm sorry if that offended you...it's just that I have a weird sense of humour," she said with an embarassed giggle. And that I don't really know how to act when a cute boy goes and kisses me.
It was all too true. When her and Simon were together, they always said crude things to each other, that would be considered very inappropriate to the ears of others. She was never shy towards him, and he was a boy. But that was just the point, she didn't consider Simon a boy...he was her best friend.
Matt continued to show her around. He showed her where the dorms were and where Saturday lessons took place. She sighed and glared a the place where Saturday lessons were. Why did they have to take away her Saturday!
""And that's the history class... it's.... It's.. good. The instructor knows what he's talking about..."
"Sweet, I don't mind hist----hey..um is something wrong?," she asked?
Reira didn't notice it at that moment, but her body temperature was dropping.
