The Doctor made his way to the classroom, that is to say, he exited his TARDIS to find himself a few classrooms down from where he was trying to get. That is, give or take a few flights of stairs as well.
"Well now... that's a lot closer then I usually get with this thing..." With the blue box behind him now he made his way to the classroom door. He looked for the handheld device he had been given but realized he left it in the TARDIS.
"Aww, I don't want to be late now, do I? I'll just have to use my own methods." The Doctor continued to run as fast as he could towards the classroom he had been assigned to teach at. He ran to the door and slid past it trying to stop on a dime, gathering himself he got up and reached the door.
"Right then!" The Doctor used his sonic screwdriver to unlock the door, it took less then two seconds. "Sorry Solaris, just the way I'm used to doing things..."
The Doctor walked inside the dark room, nearly tripping over a desk, "It's a bit dark in here...." Instantly the lights turned on, "Oh, creepy."
"Well now.... this is a change of pace for me! I've got a job, an actual paying job! Nothing to buy of course... but a job nonetheless!" The doctor looked at the classroom, it had a choir room feel to it, it was a lecture classroom with cascading rows of desks. Much like the college classrooms of the 20th through 23rd centuries. He looked to his desk which was on the lowest level of which he was currently standing on. He made his way to his computer chair and sat in it.
"Well then... I must be a bit early." The Doctor waited for the students.

OOC: To hell with the orientation. Two people are here and I wanna RP
Corgan walked to his first class of the day, freshman history. He was glad this was one of his first classes. With his memorization skills for things he read, history was something he excelled at. He used his MAC to open the door and saw that besides one other person, the room was empty. His bright green eyes locked on the other person in the room and he guessed that it was the teacher due to his appearance.
He started heading to the desks in the room and gave a smile and waved. "Good morning teach, do we have assigned seats? Or do we get to pick and choose?" He asked as he stopped and waited for a reply.

OOC: Fine by me.
"Good morning teach, do we have assigned seats? Or do we get to pick and choose?"
The voice reached The Doctor's ears and he looked over to the blonde boy who had walked in through the door, it was strange for the Doctor, he was so used to hearing british accents. "Oh good! A student, I was beginning to worry that all the students had lost their MAC's."
The Doctor thought about the question the boy had asked, "Well, I figure you have free will so I won't make you sit in a certain seat. Go ahead and choose one, then. I call dibs on this spinning chair though, very comfortable this one is...."
The Doctor did a spin in the chair and leaned back putting his feet on the desk.
"By the way," the doctor said, gazing at the ceiling and feeling very bored, "I'm the Doctor. Teach is ok with me I s'pose. and, you would be?"

Corgan chose a seat and slid into in one smooth motion and got comfortable. Well this guy seems pretty easy-going so far. Probably is like that as long as nobody causes any trouble. I guess I'll just keep on good terms with the guy. He thought.
"My name's Corgan Rastalin." He said as he pulled the items he'd need for class out of his bag. He looked back to the Doctor with an inquisitive look. "You made 'The Doctor' sound like it's the only thing you go by. What is your name? just in case I have to address you by a mister at some point or another." He asked.

The Doctor heard the questions, his eyes glazed over a bit and his eye brows raised the way they did whenever he forced down a memory he didn't want to remember. "I'll explain everything, well, everything you students need to know when the whole class is here. Short answer, though, just call me Doctor."
The doctor got everything on his desk organized, he pulled out a stick of chalk so he could write on the blackboard behind him. It was a nice classroom afterall, something with a home feel to it.
The Doctor hated it. He was used to travelling everywhere. Once his desk was organized completely he laced up his Chuck high-tops.
"For now, just hold any further questions till the rest of the class arrives."

"Alrighty then Doctor, your the boss." Corgan said with a shrug as he leaned back and kicked his feet up onto the desk and pulled out his history book. He thumbed through the pages and took everything in. He planned to have this thing completely read in a couple of days so that he could zone out a little through the class.
Of course this guy seems like he won't always cover whats in the book. It will probably be best to memorize all of this and write down what he says. Corgan thought after a moments reflection. He could already tell this teacher was different than others he had in the past. He had a knack for knowing if someone would turn out to be interesting, and this guy stuck out like a sore thumb in that factor.

... ... /Priority BETA!/ /Security Breach, Section D-2151-S/ /Possible Forced Entry!/
Solaris looked up from his book as he sat suspended in the schools mainframe, turning the pages as he did so. The day...the YEAR as a matter of fact had barely started, and already someone was breaking in to something they shouldn't. Figures as much. Apparently, he would once again have to explain to the intruder why you don't mess with Solaris' security protocols.
Slamming the book shut, he phased out of the mainframe, zapping through the fiber optic conduits that had been made especially for his travel around the school. Arriving at the door, he could have simply formed his body from nanites, but the local holographic projector would serve just as nicely...it wasn't quite as subtle, but sometimes, intimidation worked just as well, a deterrent factor. It wasn't his style, but it seemed appropriate.
The projector warmed on his presence, and his body formed in full resolution in the corner of the room. He started to turn and speak in a stern voice, ready to kick someones arse around the room without hesitation. "Alright, which one of you broke my...oh." Solaris' evil glaring smile turned to distaste and disappointment. "Er, hello there Doc...I'm guessing the screwdriver again then huh?"

"That I am Corgan Rastalin, that I am," The Doctor said under his breath. Suddenly Solaris appeared. The Doctor was amazed at it. Technology way before it's time was all over this school. Something the Doctor was both amazed and horrified with.
"Alright, which one of you broke my...oh. Er, hello there Doc...I'm guessing the screwdriver again then huh?"
"Sorry Solaris, I'm afraid it's force of habit. I'd let you knock around this kid for a bit but I'd be losing my only student." The Doctor concealed his normal go-getting attitude. The one that wanted to break down the doors of this school and examine every ounce of it until he could find out exactly where this technology came from. Was it Torchwood? Was it alien? It was something... but the Doctor didn't get the normal out of place vibe he did with most interferences in history.
Maybe... just maybe this never leaked, maybe this school was quiet to the world outside and all the technology was to remain concealed. Still, the Doctor wanted to examine Solaris completely. He'd be the only Doctor on this planet who could accomplish that task.
"Tell you what, next time I'll make sure I have somebody to blame- I mean... I won't do it again, and should one of my stuuudents ever try to force entry anywhere, you can be sure I'll be there to point them out for you!"

Solaris listened to the Doc's exc...explanation, and nodded one to acknoledge it. Weird teacher this one was, but none the less...effective. He'd gotten in rather quickly...although it was an A-1 classroom...it wasn't THAT hard. "Sorry Solaris, I'm afraid it's force of habit. I'd let you knock around this kid for a bit but I'd be losing my only student." "I see." He said, looking around, not necessarily interested much. But finally, he gave up, he had to say something.
"There's a reason we use MACs...I can't have teachers giving students the wrong ideas...but given the circumstances..." There was only one student in the classroom with him. "I suppose it wouldn't have mattered much anyway."
The feathers on his back ruffled somewhat as he took a seat in the corner of the room, and formed a nanite version of the book he was reading in the mainframe. He also donned his glasses simultaneously. "I suppose I can listen in on a class...I want to hear what teachers opinions are these days..."

Corgan watched this little exchange with a high degree of interest. This Solaris was definitely someone to keep an eye out for. I guess I was right when I thought this place would be interesting. It would probably be best to stay quiet. But he didn't really like the idea of the Doctor mentioning he'd simply let this guy knock him around as he said.
I guess I can't expect much more from a person who doesn't know me, but that's really not the point. Well I think I will settle in for the lesson today. He thought as he simply put his hands behind his head and leaned on the back legs of his chair. He was content to simply sit back and wait for the Doctor to begin. He would ignore Solaris for the lesson, but he would certainly be keeping him in mind.

Matrim made his way down the hallway to the classroom. The black venetian ring his father left him tucked underneath his white shirt. It was force of habit to put on a jacket, even though he was inside. His blue hair was spiked and gelled so that it would look really cool. That was the one thing Matrim focused on in mornings. Not that he was conceited, it was just the way he was.
Matrim got to the door of his first class, History. Something he thought was slightly mundane, pointless even. He patted down his jacket pockets and felt his MAC in his right pocket. He quickly pulled it out and opened the door.
Oh great... a complete geek for a teacher, a blonde long haired dude.... and is that another teacher? A student?
"Morning." Matrim said, finding a seat just in front of the blonde kid. He set down his bag and pulled out his book, opening it for the first time, then quickly crossed his arms over it and laid his head down until class started.

"Good morning to you too," The Doctor said watching as the blue haired kid laid his head down. The blonde one seemed to be curious about something. "Curious is good...." the words were barely a whisper under the Doctor's breath. The blue haired one put his head down on his desk, using his book as if it were a pillow. Of course, with the Doctor being the teacher, that was the most use anyone would get out of the books. If they wanted to see and learn history, they would see and watch history in the making. "Or should I have said goodnight?" A few more students piled in, The Doctor realized it was finally time to start class, any late students had better get in quickly because he was not going to explain things twice. "Good morning class!" "I'm the Doctor. That is my name, you will address me as such. Doctor, just Doctor. That is what they call me. If you want to call me teach to sound cool in front of your peers or in front of me, I'm perfectly fine with that. If you think you know history better then me, you are mistaken. If you think your parents, uncles, aunts, sisters, brothers, ex-best-mates flat manager with the degree in archaeology knows more then me, you are mistaken. And what's more, I'll prove it to you by the end of class. More importantly, I am going to make you a promise. The time is now 9:30am. By the time the class is over, it will be 9:55am." The Doctor looked around and saw some of the students excited for the short period, he didn't know how the other ones would react. "Now, for your first assignment, you are to take out a pen and paper and write down for me a list of things, one, your name. Two, the one place in history you wish you could have been at. Any major event or minor event. With the exception that none of you could have been alive at this time, so 20 years plus into the past just to be safe, ok? And finally three, I want you to write down how worried you are that Solaris here can see you while your sleeping?" a few students laughed, "That was a joke at Solaris' expense of course, just the first two things will do, thank you."

Twenty-five minutes? Exactly? It was rare to have a such a short class time, but supposing it was only the first day, it wouldn't matter too much. He'd simply kept up reading his book, listening as the Doc made his own little egotistical tirade...most teachers did this to little effect, all talk and nothing to back it up. But hell, if he could back it up, all the more power to him. As for that, his rant should be over right...about...now.
And finally three, I want you to write down how worried you are that Solaris here can see you while your sleeping?"
Number one, check...two...check...three...ch...hey, wait a minute, was that a joke? Solaris peered up from his book, finally revealing who he really was to the students, at least the ones that were actually interested. Binary and other various bits of code ran up his transparent body. "Aww, now was that really necessary?" The orange glow broke through his glasses...Solaris could always accept a good joke, as he often pulled worse ones when he was exceptionally bored...
"Yeah, god forbid one of you falls asleep..." His grin was evil and manical at this point, although he really didn't mean any of it.

Well this makes for a pretty easy first assignment. Corgan thought as he started writing quickly. He had always wanted to travel back to Medieval times. It took a little longer for him to think of any event he wanted to see. if he was honest with himself, he wanted to see it all. Man, it's an easy thing to do, but there are so many choices. He thought.
About a minute later he gave a smile. He wanted to one of his favorite historical figures, William Wallace. The guy was pretty inspiring and if he ever had the chance, he would love to meet the guy. Once he was done he simply leaned back in his chair and waited for further instructions.

Matrim was half awake listening to the instructions, he was still tired from the time change. Besides, history bored him. Some people seemed amused with the Doctors joke, Matrim thought it was corny and a waste of time. Of course, less time lecturing. The Doctor mentioned something about class being short, Thank God.... Then he assigned a small assignment, Matrim decided it was something he would do, no matter how badly he disliked schoolwork.
Anytime in history, huh? Well...... I suppose I wouldn't want to go into the past too far.... honestly I'd just like to see my dad when he was my age. See this Matrim he always talks about. Otherwise.... it wouldn't hurt to see a war of some sort. Knights of the round and those type of guys.
In the end Matrim ended up writing down, Matrim Gallagher, If I could go anywhere in history I would go see my father as a kid my age, playing music on the streets of seattle.
Matrim finally took in a deep breath and slowly let it go. It was still hard for him to think about his father. All the more reason he wanted to see Matrim Aldon so badly.
