Matrim thought a bomb went off when the bell rang. With the silence there was in the classroom, exceptions being the student who spoke up and Ms. L herself, the bell startled him.
Joar had the right answer. That was good for him, and good for Matrim, he understood now. It may have took an extra example to get it, but he fully understood. Matrim packed his notes having made his own definition in his own words for him to understnad before doing so.
He got up and headed out saying to Ms. L before he left, "Thanks for giving us an example, Ms. L, it really helped me understand the term better."
Alright, and while she is nice and awesomely cute you need to get the frick out of here before something painful happens.
Matrim turned towards the two boys, they were in different areas but he switched back and forth studying the expression on each one.
My God have mercy on your souls.
Matrim left the classroom, fully intending to do his homework.

Austin hurried with his notes, writing down as fastly as he could,
Allusion example= Zelda poem, poem is referencing Zelda without saying 'Hey, look, it's a poem about Zelda'
Allusion example 2= Poe, the reference is to the valley of the shadow, whether it's the vally of the shadow of death or otherwise, it's referencing that valley.
Make an allusion for next class.
The bell rang and Austin packed his things, got up and was just about to move towards the door when he heard the teacher talk.
"Hold up... You two stay for a moment....the others can leave."
So the hit on the head wasn't punishment enough..... great..... Austin thought, actually feeling a little upset that he was being kept after.
He sat back down putting his bag on the desk and waited for everyone else to leave except for him or Joar. He found a water bottle in his bag and got some of it in his hand, rubbing the spot on his head that had been hurt. He didn't use his Qi because only an idiot, fighter or not, revealed their hand.

Scribbling down notes, Sephora decided it had been a good idea that she had started to pay attention more. Otherwise she didn't know was Ms. L would have done to her. Once the definition and explanations had been given, the bell rang and the girl nearly jumped out of her tan skin. They had been noiseless for so long that such a sound was quite startling.
Standing and hurrying out of the class with a smile to Ms. L, Sephora cast mournful looks at both of the boys that were asked to stay behind. She knew that Joar could handle himself quite well, but Austin seemed so frail that Sephora nearly wanted to stay and try to stick up for him. She didn't, though, knowing better than that, for it would only make things worse for the poor boy.

Joar had started packing up already thinking of an allusion to use for next class. But he at least got it right, that was a load off his chest. He pulled the syrinx out so he could play between classes. He couldn't remember what his next class was but he would check once he got out of here.
Thats when he heard something the teacher said that made his stomach sink. "You two stay for a moment." He blinked and gave a sigh. No way...I thought I was in the clear...I thought I redeemed myself.. He thought and hung his head.
He shouldered his messenger back and walked up to the head of the class. Might as well get this over with... He thought as he started to think of what might happen, fearing the worst of course. This definitely would not be his favorite class.

Ms. L sat down on her desk looking at them both. She set her ruler down as she began to ponder who start with and what to say. Her mind settled on Austin first.
"I want to appoligize to you my boy." She said to Austin once the final student had left the room. "I should not have taken my anger out on you like that...and defiantly shouldn't have hit you so hard. I appoligize...I would give you a detention for being late, but I think the smack was enough punishment."
She then turned to Joar. "Speaking of detention...I couldn't see with this young lad's interuption if you snuck in as well. I am giving you a chance to tell me now if you were late or not. Because if I have to access the data base just to see I will be quite mad. Now please tell me and you will be fine." Ms. L kept her focus on Joar now.

Austin almost felt bad for being so upset for the hit. He felt as though he should apologize for getting hit like that, "Umm... it's fine, really."
He waited till she talked to the other boy, Austin wasn't sure if it was polite for him to continue watching this. Afterall, he would hate it if some student had stayed after to see if he had been beaten up by this teacher more.
Of course, he also didn't want to interupt to see if he could leave either.
I'll just stay here and wait to be excused, not paying any attention to what she says to Joar. That way it's not like I was eavesdropping, besides he's my room mate, Austin thought to himself. Trying to imagine what it might be like if he were in this kids position, Just tell her the truth Joar!

Alex copied down the examples Ms. L had given for allusion, although he knew what allusions were, it was still good to have examples as a backup. She then waited for anyone to answer her question, and not a moment later, someone did, it was Joar from his music class. He answered the second allusion rather quickly, but the first one, he struggled with it. Alex couldn't blame him, it took even him a few moments to figure it out.
He then heard Joar blurt out something. "Hmm, well this one is fantasy...and it has fairies...and milk? I remember something like this. Oh what was it called..Zel-something...uh.." He almost had it, he was just missing a couple letters. He then finally got it after a couple seconds. "Zelda, thats it!" Ding ding! Give the man a prize!
Not a moment too soon, the bell rang, signifying class was over. The entire class got up and packed their stuff away, and made their way out the door, like a stampede. Alex took his time packing his stuff away, and was around long enough to hear Ms. L say something. "Hold up...You two stay for a moment....the others can leave."
Alex saw she was pointing at Joar and Austin, as he picked up his bag. His sympathy was with them as he headed out the door. He was already thinking of an allusion he was going to use for his homework, but at the same time, he was praying for the two guys, especially Austin, who looked like he would fall apart at any moment. " Good luck you two..." he thought.

He looked at the teacher. She was apologizing to the boy Austin, for hitting him across the head in anger and said that she should have given him a detention instead but that the smack was enough. He would agree. At least it wasn't with something harder.
She then had moved her attention to him. He thought he might have gotten away easy but he guessed not. She had asked if he was late. He was and he may be a gypsy but he wasn't that much of a liar, especially when he would be seeing this teacher next class time.
"Yes, I was late, and the only reason I kept playing was because as soon as I opened the door I see you drive a yardstick into this boys head. I was just in shock of it and not knowing what else to do...well I just kept on playing and sat at a desk." He said shrugging.
"Brain just couldn't process the information right then and there...But at least you didn't hit the boy with something harder, other wise I doubt he WOULD be able to stand right now." he said looking to Austin then back to the teacher.

"Yes...I am thankful for at least having the sense to exchange yard sticks." She looked at Austin wondering what might have happened. Both to him and herself if she hadn't. She pushed that thought away and turned back to Joar.
"However...you will be serving a detention with me. I will classify when next class period. Now hurry off both of you...this is my planning period...and I don't need the other teachers complaining that I kept you too long." She gave them a slight nudge toward the door before walking back to her desk and sitting down.

Austin got the go ahead and decided to say no more. Quickly he got up and left. He was glad that he didn't have detention, but still a little woozy from the hit. He made it maybe two steps before falling over and losing conciousness for a little bit.
Eventually he came to and got up saying, "I'm fine... I'm fine..." and ran out the door. He wasn't sure how long he had been out, but all he knew was it was time for him to go to his dorm to sleep. He was exhausted, needed a shower, and could do with a nice warm meal in his stomach.
What was the homework again...... what happened in that class altogether...... oh crud.... I really hope I took notes..... Austin thought to himself making his way back to the dorms.
