If I Only Had A Heart

He held her, he knew she was upset. He was too. He basically outed his feelings of guilt and depression about all that had happened, and she made a death pact about if he dies then she would too. He never wanted that to happen. He would never let that happen.

"I guess I'll just have to live forever then." He said, he was tired, he knew she was tired, but at the same time he didn't want to be without her. Mostly because he knew she was still worried about him.

"My dorm bed is sounding really good right now, even though it's the middle of the afternoon," He said, he knew she'd take it as him wanting to go to his dorm alone, "If you're still exhausted, maybe you could use a nap too..."

He was getting around to it, he didn't mean it as a sexual nature, he just wanted to fall asleep holding her in his arms, reassuring her that he was alright, "We could go to my dorm and take a nap, no funny business, just.... I want to be by your side still, but I know I'm gonna crash soon."

I always get exhausted and tired after I have emotional moments like these.... and even more so when I'm on pain killers...

He released the hug but grabbed her hands, holding them in his, waiting for an answer.

"I guess I'll just have to live forever then." Reira smiled a weary smile. To live forever sounded really nice, but she knew that was a promise that couldn't be kept. Right now, however, she wanted to pretend to believe in it, if only for the sake of the moment. It felt good to pretend. "For as long as you can."

"My dorm bed is sounding really good right now, even though it's the middle of the afternoon. If you're still exhausted, maybe you could use a nap too..." Reira's face was buried into his coller bone. It was so hard to fight against sleep. Heck she could fall asleep right now. It must've been harder for Matrim! Nodding she said "Okay, I'll see you tomorrow then. Rest up!" She didn't stop hugging him though, she wanted to prolong it, being with him as much as she could before they had to part ways for the afternoon.

"We could go to my dorm and take a nap, no funny business, just.... I want to be by your side still, but I know I'm gonna crash soon." Her eyes widened in surprise. It was like he read her thoughts or something. If she wasn't so tired she'd probably bounce around exuberantly and shout 'Let's go!' But she was tired.

Breaking the embrace, Matrim grabbed both her hands and awaited her answer. "That sounds like a great idea," was all she managed, stifling a yawn. Walking at a slow pace, they made their way to his dorm.

Knowing that Matrim is beside me, maybe for once, I'll have a nice dream. I'm tired of all the nightmares and the annoying spirits.
