Lunari had long since left the school, on some tracking mission, or something Solaris had said. Something about two kids, Matrim and Reira, who had been let out under false pretenses. While Lunari didn't care why they had been let out, the only thing that worried her was the fact of the shootings at the school. Someone else was after them, and based on what she'd learned from Kane's documents, and with The Doctor, Matrim and Reira were no longer safe.
"Woah there, easy."
Lunari had been out of the school for almost 24 hours on horseback. It would make no sense to go full speed, as the two students currently had a considerable advantage on them. How they broke out was still a mystery, but Solaris was taking care of that, and it was likely he'd soon find out what happened. Her brother was brilliant like that.
Meanwhile, the horse Lunari had been riding had become somewhat tired, and so, leading him, dropped down from the giant animal, and started to feed him. He'd be okay in a few minutes. Solaris on the other hand had been hard at work tracking down the AI chip implanted in Matrim's head. Reira's MAC was also still online. And for the most part, the two had stayed together for their journey, at least the part they'd been tracking.
Finally, the horse rested enough to continue on his merry way. Lunari once again boarded, and continued tracking the trail they'd left after leaving the school a couple days earlier...
--Later--
The MAC and AI trail had led Lunari to a dock, and unfortunately, the trail continued across the ocean...there was no way she was taking a horse across the ocean. It was unfortunate. She'd have to cheat, and she hated cheating. Solaris' portrait appeared in her glasses. "Yes Luni?" "Solly, can you get me a plane, Matrim and Reira have fled the country." "Gotcha, we have a SkyHound VTOL enroute."
Three hours later, Lunari would be aboard the SkyHound, trying to find the boat the two lovebirds were hanging on.

"Yeah I guess that works, but if I roll over in my sleep just know that I told you so." Matrim said, the ship shook and his body was forced with the motion, he planted his hands on either side of him, palms towards the ship but he was more worried for Reira.
"You alright?" He asked, he saw that she held on.
"W-what was that?"
"I have no idea, come with me, we'll go check." Matrim said, "Leave your MAC here, we'll ditch them in Alaska, if they somehow can trace us based on that then all we have to do is get them sent two seperate ways, neither of which are the one we will go. If they still trace us......"
Matrim thought about the chip.
"We'll deal with it later, but come on!" He said, getting topside to see what was going on. "It's a bit civilized for us to be fighting pirates captain, so what the hell is the problem?"
"It's the damnedest thing kid, we're being attacked by a ship way out. Don't suppose you know who they are? What with your miraculous escape and everything. What is it your running away from? Because I bet you anything that they are chasing us!"
"It can't be.... it's not them.... this has to be something else. They wouldn't attack." Matrim said, revealing that they were in fact running, "Can't this thing go any faster?"
"Sure I guess, or we could throw you overboard and get whoever these people are off our backs."
"I'm telling you they aren't after us! You throw us off now we are going to die!" Matrim said to the burly captain, his crew started gathering behind them carrying tools of their trade.
"And why should we believe you stranger?" The man said.
"For starters if you don't listen to me your crew will be feeling pretty bad in the morning, and you'll be the one thrown overboard." Matrim said, turning on his shield. "Because if you threaten Jane Doe I will kill you."
The men started to back off, the captain began to laugh. "Yeah, sure kid. You're gonna kick my ass like we're delivering cargo."
Matrim looked at the cargo, the metal compartments seemed harmless but what was inside of them?
"Drugs?" He asked.
"Don't be silly, drug smugglers don't smuggle like this. We're in weapons." The captain said as a few crew members came out of there sections with handguns. "We were fine with smuggling you since your money would have become our retirement fund, but now we're thinking the ship after us is one of two people. Somebody after you, or someone after us. Either way, you'll probably slow them down."
Matrim's shield was on, and he knew he would be safe, but that was all that could be said. "Reira, get somewhere safe, now!"

After the surprise shaking of the ship, they had decided to investigate what was going on. Grabbing her heels, she put them on and ditched her apron. Following Matrim to the upper decks, she stood beside him, listening to the conversation that he and the captain were having. Reira stifled a gasp when the captain announced another ship was attacking theirs. Were they caught?! Was their journey over, after it had only begun? Reira clenched her teeth in anger when the captain insisted this was all their fault.
"That's stupid! You can't blame us for this shit! Throw us overboard! That's absurd!," she spat at the captain, her temper once again getting the best of her. At first he was slightly taken aback. So she wasn't the perfect little lady he'd probably thought she was, big deal. He glared at her and continued his conversation with Matrim. Now it was Matrims turn for threats. The captain didn't take lightly to that.
The freight carts had weapons in them, and multiple crew members advanced on them with handguns cocked and ready. Her adrenaline was rising rapidly. The captain wanted them dead. "Your dirty bastard!" she shouted at the man, right before Matrim said "Reira, get somewhere safe, now!" She hesitated momentarily, worrying about Matrim's safety. He had a shield..she didn't, he'd be okay if they shot him, she wouldn't. She listened to him and ran, kicking off her heels.
As soon as she began her sprint, crew members were upon her in an instant. Shots were fired, just barely missing her as she dove behind some metal freight carts. She was in a maze of metal, losing some of her predators. Could be good, could be bad. Her back against a cart, she shimmied over to the corner, peeking over it precariously. "Boo," said a crew man, jumping out at her. Reira let out a startled scream and proceeded to turn and run the other way, only to find her path blocked by yet another man. The two men chuckled evilly, they had her cornered.
*Boom!*
The ship rocked violently, as it was assaulted again by the offending vessel. The two men, fell clumsily to the ground, along with Reira. She recovered faster. Picking up one of the men's guns, she aimed and pulled the trigger. Both men were dead, cleaing her path. The sound gave her position away. "She's over here!" Grimacing, she made a dead run for a door that read ENGINE ROOM in bold lettes. Grasping the door knob with one hand, she yanked it open, and closed it behind her, just as she saw a man take aim and fire. Good thing the door was metal. She decsended the stairs quickly, panting heavily.
*Bang*
"Argh," Reira moaned, as a searing pain grazed her shoulder blade. Blood slowly oozed. Brow furrowing, she turned around quickly and shot back. Her aim was off, from the pain of her wound, but she managed to shoot the guy in the hand, making him drop his gun. She went to shoot again, but the handgun she had stolen was out of ammo. Dropping it, she was on the run again, the pissed man hot on her heels.
It was a game of hide and seek now. The engine room was dark, providing plenty of places to hide. Fuck, I wish I had a better Qi! Moving with haste, Reira treaded the huge engine room. She came upon an empty table, save a screwdriver. A possible weapon. Grabbing it, she hid in a dark corner, biting the screwdriver in her teeth. It stopped her loud, ragged breathing. Then she waited.
The guy was a retard. He was louder then the bloody engine itself! He approached her hiding spot. Taking the screwdriver out of her mouth, she charged at him, hoping to stab him in a tender spot, the eye or temple. He was smarter then he looked. In a swift motion, he backhanded her in the face, causing her to fall back and hit the nearby wall. He loomed over her and grinned, while picking her up in her momentary state of disorientation.
"Wut a little bitch ya are! I'm gunna enjoy throwing ya overboard," He said, proceeding to carry her. Reira struggled. "Fuck you! Let me go!!" Her arms and legs flailed about in a desperate attempt to free herself. Remembering some of Alex's training, she elbowed him in the nose and knocked him one good in the balls. He dropped her immediately.
"Forget overboard! I'm going to kill you right now!" Still on the ground, he reached for his handgun. Adrenaline controlling her mind, Reira scrambled on all fours searching for that screw driver. Only moments before he could pull the trigger, Reira's fingers clutched onto the screwdriver, plunging it into the man's temple.
"!" Was his reaction. He was kneeling, frozen in shock, the gun pointed at her her. Reira stared in horror at her handiwork. Ever so slowly, the man began to lean forward, nothing but dead weight. His finger was so close to pulling the trigger, she could have been dead...*Bang*... In his last moments alive, he had pulled the trigger, hitting her directly in her left shoulder, the same shoulder that he had grazed previously.
Reira screamed out in pain, the sound echoing off the metalic body of the ship. Now blood was really starting to poor out her shoulder. Grasping just under the wound with her good hand, Reira attempted to wobble up the stairs.

Reira took off running and Matrim knew she could probably hold her own, especially when he heard gunshots and she emerged the victor. He of course had his own score to settle before he could go help her. Matrim walked into the center of the guys, some of them with bats, some with guns, and others with chains. He noticed the leader disappear and reappear with a shotgun.
Don't think I can block shotguns.... can I?
Matrim didn't feel like finding out. The nine guys that surrounded him were now a very large issue.
"Hey listen, I can't kill you all, if I do that then who's going to man this boat? So come on, let me kill the leader already and just take his place. We'll drink some wine, forget anything happened, and at the end of the day one of you will become the new leader of this whole deal. Sound square?" Matrim asked, holding his arms out. His Qi was active and ready to go, he was tougher then ever and ready to prove it.
A few of the men looked around at each other and the leader immediately shot one of them in the head with his shot gun, "NOBODY does a fucking thing he says. Nobody even THINKS about doing a fucking thing he says."
Matrim sighed, "I just knew it wasn't going to be that easy. Oh well, let's do this the hard way!" Matrim lunged after the man with the chain, a shot fired out and Matrim felt the bullet pelt off his shield, it would leave a good size welt.
"I SHOT HIM!" A man said pointing at Matrim, Matrim punched the guy with the chain straight in the nose, grabbed his chain and strung it over his neck. "Shoot him!"
Everyone shot at Matrim who had not only his Qi shield but this newly acquired human shield, most of the bullets didn't even skim the shield, Matrim retreated into one of the storage lockers and grabbed himself something special.
"Huh.... guess this will do....... now how do I......" BANG BANG BANG. "Oh.... ok..... let's get one with ammo then......" Matrim emerged with a desert eagle, "Why do you even have this crap on board?"
Shots fired at Matrim as he shot back. He had shitty aim but luckily a few of them were injured by their own ricochet bullets. Matrim knew he'd have a lot of welts from this. By the end of it all the only one standing and breathing at the same time was the leader with the shotgun who had managed to hide behind one of the big metal crate's.
"What are you a freak or somethin?" The man asked.
"That's what they tell me, you should see what else I have up my sleeve." Matrim said, climbing onto a crate. He knew he'd have to play the shotgun careful. He knelt down and waited for the man to show himself, and once he did Matrim watched closely, waiting for his guard to drop.
One..... two......
BANG
The ship shook again, the man fell and so did his shotgun, Matrim barely stayed on the big metal box long enough to steady himself and pounced, picking up the shotgun.
"Fine, you got me, just-" Matrim shot two rounds into the mans knees. The man screamed in pain as Matrim walked away.
"If she's hurt I'm coming back and inflicting four times as much pain on you every second she isn't better." Matrim said, he walked down to see Reira making her way towards him with a bleeding shoulder, screaming out in pain.
"Reira!" Matrim said running over, he tore off his sleeves, and began ripping them, he looked at the wound, "Listen, the bullet looks like it passed through.."
Matrim made two small bundles of fabric placing them at the entry and exit wound, and wrapped the remaining material around those two, tying them down and applying pressure.
"We have to stop the bleeding OK?" Matrim said, he walked up the stairs a bit to see the ship that was further behind get a lot closer. It was a military ship of sorts, he didn't know what to call it, only that it must have been using some type of weaponry to damage the ship they were on.
If we go back and go to a hospital we'll be sent back to school.... that's assuming we can get off of this boat and end up on land.... if this other boat wants the weapons they can have them, but they still might kill us.... is there a life boat on this vessel that we can take back to Japan? We haven't left for very long, I can still see the land.....
"Reira, listen closely, we're going to get off this boat OK? We just have to grab our stuff and find a life boat. I'm sure there is a small one with an engine on here." Matrim ran to their room real quickly, grabbing their stuff, but also picking out their Mac's. His shield still on in case anything happened, he ran back to where Reira was.
"We're leaving our MAC's here, ok? On this boat. That'll throw off somebody if we're being tracked that way." Matrim looked towards the end of the boat to see what he was looking for. A boat inside a boat. Luckily one with an engine, probably an electric engine, but at least it wasn't a rowboat.
"Come on, we got to get back to land to get your shoulder looked at."
Matrim looked into the distance he thought he saw a light shine back at him, like a reflection of sorts, but he wasn't quite sure.
"Go go go!" He said pointing at the small boat, it was attached to a pully system and would be easy to lower, just hard to get in to without jumping into the freezing cold water. Which is what Matrim would be doing after lowering Reira down in the boat of course.
Ladies and children first and all that.
Matrim began to wonder if this was such a good idea. He was in more and more danger outside of the school then he had ever been inside it.

The bright white daylight stung her eyes, as they adjusted from being in the darkness. She had managed to climb up the stairs. The pain was nothing like she had ever felt before, and she was hoping she'd bleed so much that her arm would become numb. Then again, maybe that was a bad idea. She walked catiously onto the deck, wondering how Matrim was doing. He better be okay. Judging by the silence of the ship, Matrim must've taken care of the rest of the men.
After manuvering around some freight carts, Reira was relieved to see Matrim uninjured and perfectly fine. She couldn't say the same about herself sadly. "Matrim, over here," she called to him. As soon as he saw her, he shouted out her name with heavy worry. "It's okay, I'm fine, It doesn't hurt," she lied. He started to rip his shirt into various pieces.
Obviously he didn't believe her. They really did have to stop the bleeding, her arm was almost painted in red. "Listen, the bullet looks like it passed through.." That was a relief. Matrim moved fast. He quickly placed two wads of clothing at the entrance of the wound and the exit, then he wrapped the rest of the cloth tightly around her shoulder. The process was excruticiating. Reira jaw was hard set, and she cringed and grimaced in pain. When he was done, she let out a long breath. "Thanks." Her shouler still throbbed, but right now, she had to ingore it. It was time to get the hell off this ship.
"I'll search around for a lifeboat while you grab our stuff," she replied, as he ran off back to their cabin. Reira ran around the ships deck, searching for a life boat, heck any boat that could get them off this wreck, before the miliatary ship, that was rapidly approaching, made them a watery grave. Running as best as she could with her injured shoulder, she looked off the left side of the ship, no life boat. Moving to the right side, her eyes beamed as she found what she was looking for. It had a motor to.
Her brief moment of elatedness dissapeared quickly as she noticed how close the ship was to the water's surface. "Shit..," she said, realizing now that the ship was sinking! Neither of them had been to the bottom floors of the ship, they were probably filled with water. The cargo ship was only shot..a lot, by the enemy ship. It was only natural for the piece of metal to give way.
"We're leaving our MAC's here, ok? On this boat. That'll throw off somebody if we're being tracked that way," Matrim said, appearing behind her with all their stuff. "Matrim, we have to hurry! This boat is sinking!" she stated, pointing to rapidly approaching water line.
She grabbed all their stuff with her good arm, and threw them carelessly onto the life boat. It was attatched to a pulley system. Matrim would be jumping into the water after he lowered her down. He rushed her and she didn't protest. Hopping into the boat, she braced herself as Matrim lowered the thing down.
This is crazy! It's bad luck, that's what it is. Any other day this could have happened, it had to be today, when we escaped...we didn't get far...At least we are both okay. At least he is okay, that's all that I'm worried about....WTF is that!
Clearly visible in the sky was a large aircraft. It looked formidable. Her hand clenched tightly. Was the aircraft looking to kill them to? Not wanting to stick around to find out, Reira flicked on the small motor of the life boat. When Matrim jumped and was securly in the boat, she would lower the motor in the water and get the hell out of this death hole.
The faster the better...she'd rather not see all the spirits of the men that were killed today.

-Aboard the SkyHound VTOL- -Codenamed: Cypher Three-
Something was all of a sudden different. There was an energy that had been absent until this point. "Please excuse me Commander." "Yes ma'am." Lunari still had her headphones on so she could hear the Commander speaking, however, she went to the back of the VTOL, and opened one of the sliding armored doors. "Commander, come to bearing Two-Niner-Three, Drop altitude to 700 feet, steady as she goes." "Steady aye, Ma'am."
Just as she had thought before, someone had activated their Qi. There was a slight blue trailing emission skimming the water. Lunari's eyes followed the trail out of normal sight range, and found the source, a medium-sized cargo freighter. She could see the outline also of someone running around. The outline was that of Qi...a shield.
Matrim Gallagher.
"We found at least one of them, Commander, resume course." Lunari kept watching outside the side door at the rather calm ocean before them. It wouldn't be calm in a few minutes. "Ma'am, the target vessel has been engaged by Paladin light attack craft." "Stay on course, get everyone in sight before we do anything." The SkyHound made best speed, making one pass over both ships as the freighter slugged off attacks by the Paladin craft in the water. The boat wasn't going to last too much longer, and it appeared Matrim and Reira were offloading to a new craft. This was perfect.
"Commander! New objectives, destroy the Paladin vessel. Repeat, you are cleared to engage!"
The SkyHound turned a full 180, and took sight at the Paladin boat. "ENGAGE!" The VTOL went into vertical lift, and started to side-strafe the boat, unloading on it with its 30mm cannon. In about 5 seconds, there would be nothing left of the boat, nothing at all.
"Let's get the students and get out of here."

Matrim was rushing, he got the other boat ready and just as he went to through the MAC's into the water he saw the object in the sky. He knew that one of these two people were from the school, it was already too late. Ditching the MAC's now would be a waste of time and resources. He'd have to get out of there and ditch the MAC's when there wasn't an eye on him.
"Coming!" Matrim said after Reira had turned on the electric motor of the smaller boat. He jumped with his shield on into the cold water. He got into the boat and they took off towards land. He lowered his shield and began to feel the cold water, but it was nothing since his veins felt like they were pumping battery acid. And for all he knew, they very well could be.
"Once we get off this Island we are finding a Doctor, someone who can fix you up for cold hard cash and have nothing to do with paperwork. We'll get away from whoever is chasing us." Matrim heard rounds being fired, he turned and saw the boat, or what was left of it. "Whoever was chasing us got destroyed by whoever else is chasing us. I'm guessing the thing in the air has to do with school..... that technology is pretty pricey."
Damn it.... we didn't get out in time. But what in the hell was that boat? Maybe they were after the guns... but why would someone from the school attack them?

Matrim jumped into the water and Reira helped him board the small vessel. As soon as he was on, she dropped the motor into the water and the boat took off in an abrupt rush. She guided the boat towards the land. It was a bumpy ride. The boat jumped roughly across waves of water.
"We have bigger things to worry about then getting me fixed. I'll be fine for a while, really," Reira stated, taking a moment to look back at the enemy boat. It was more like a pile of rubble now. Yep much bigger things to worry about. That aircraft took out the attacking boat in less then five seconds, she could have sworn!
"Whoever was chasing us got destroyed by whoever else is chasing us. I'm guessing the thing in the air has to do with school..... that technology is pretty pricey." "Who could the people in the boat be? I know why the school would be chasing us, but who else has business with us?! We didn't do anything on a big enough scale to piss off some secret crazy boat people!"
They hadn't traveled far, when the aircraft flew through the smoke of the burning vessel and was now directly on their heels. There was no way in hell that the life boat could out run that thing. They were screwed. To make matter worse, the life boats engine all of a sudden stopped. Just like that, it gave out, with no warning what so ever. Reira gasped as she could feel the wind of the aircraft against her skin.

The SkyHound had done its job in an admirable fashion. Solaris really did in fact of some good people working for him. "Great shot Commander, lets get us some students." "Rog-o, Ma'am." The SkyHound was, right after the destruction of the Paladin, nearing the small boat that had undocked from its much larger counterpart. Aboard it, were two people. The runaways.
Matrim and Reira.
"Get close to the boat, don't overtake them." The pilot did as told, flying now along side the boat, the door facing them open. Lunari herself was waiting for a good shot...
Anyday now...
...
Perfect.
"Qi Lance!" Her palm held out straight, Lunari fired a small charged beam of Qi into the motor of the boat. As expected, it stopped instantly, and the VTOL, still with orders to stay close, started to hover around the boat. The students were dead in the water. They were done, no chance in hell they were getting any farther. "Deploy the floats...we might be here awhile."
The VTOL landed, and once again, the side door opened next to the left side of the boat. Lunari's left hand was still glowing some. She could see the white's of the students eyes now...and her own? Well, it was easy to tell she wasn't very happy.
"What the hell are you guys thinking? Really now." Lunari sat down on the edge of the landed VTOL. "I'd check your MACs if I were you. That's if you havn't ditched them already."

"FUCK OFF LUNARI!" Matrim called out, "OUR CRIMINAL RECORDS HAVE BEEN CLEARED, WE HAVE EVERY RIGHT TO BE OUT HERE!"
Matrim then remembered the part about the MAC's. He quickly grabbed both of them, and looked at his, keeping Reira's from her. He didn't care if others were suffering from their break out so much as Reira didn't know. She cared a lot more about the people at the school then he did. A secret he kept well hidden. The secret that he didn't really like Alex. He only used him to get out. Personally the gang turned into something it wasn't supposed to be. It was supposed to be a way to fight against all the teachers. Alex saw fit to change that.
It's a good thing Matrim wasn't going ba-
The hell?
"SO WHAT?" Matrim yelled, "Are you telling me that's who's chasing us? They're gone now right? Why should I go with you to ground zero! Especially with injuries!" Matrim pointed to Reira's shoulder, "If we fly back their we'll get blown out of the sky most likely! You'd just be getting us killed even sooner!"
Matrim was ready to attack, even if it meant dying. Of course, he couldn't help but wonder about his new family. About his little sister and his mom. Reira was more important to him now.
Matrim's thoughts focused on Lunari, he used the AI chip to communicate directly.
Look at me, look at what that school and my life has been. I'm the human incarnation of the energizer rabbit, a machine. Would you not be satisfied until I suffer the same fate as Solaris? That's fine. Do what you want with me. Reira is injured, and that might as well be a big moving Target. So unless you can guarantee her complete safety and speedy recovery, there is only one way you're getting us back there......
"Over my dead body."

The aircraft caused violent ripples to pound against the side of the useless boat, as it hovered in place. Reira's heart was beating uncontrollably. She didn't know who was on the aircraft. One thing she did know, however, was that they were in some bad water.
The plane landed smoothly and the engine cut out, emitting a tense silence. Her eyes widened when Lunari Awren stepped out and sat on the edge of the aircraft. Lunari's gaze was deadly. "Lunari...," Reira muttered then trailed off. "What the hell are you guys thinking? Really now," She said, a firm edge to her voice. "I'd check your MACs if I were you. That's if you haven't ditched them already."
"Check our MACs! Is that all you can say! Why was that ship after us! Did something happen?" Reira was standing up now, keeping her balance. What could possibly be so significant that she would come all the way here to find them and the first thing she tells them to do was check their MACs? If they were caught, that meant that... "Matrim, can you give me my MAC please?" She asked, forcing herself to calm down.
Matrim totally ignored her request. He was furious at Lunari. Heck, Reira was furious period. It surprised her that she was the calm one, usually she'd be up there yelling to. All her energy was spent and losing blood from her shoulder wasn't helping. She watched Matrim check his MAC, for a brief moment there was a slight shock in his face, then he continued his harassment.
"SO WHAT? Are you telling me that's who's chasing us? They're gone now right? Why should I go with you to ground zero! Especially with injuries!" Matrim gestured to her shoulder. "If we fly back their we'll get blown out of the sky most likely! You'd just be getting us killed even sooner!" Oh so now they knew something that she didn't!
"Who is chasing us! Why would we get blown out of the sky if we go back to the school?! Matrim! Give..me..my ..MAC! ," she said, her calm now gone. Panic was once again rising. There was a third party in this. The school, them, and the mystery boat people. A sudden wave of dizziness blurred her vision momentarily. She quickly ignored it.
Why can't everyone just leave us the hell alone! Is that too much to ask! There is so many things that I'm feeling right now. Hate, wrath, panic, pain, fear, worry..I'm going insane with worry! ----!!!
"You can't fight her here! She'll kill you!" Reira snapped. She knew that all Matrim wanted was to be free and he would do all he could for that freedom. That scared her.

"Calm down, the both of you, especially Matrim." Lunari got up and jumped her small body on one of the floats. Her scythe was now completely visible on her back. Lunari was thinking, but not to anyone...this was going to end in one of two ways, and either way, they were going back to the school.
The choices mattered on how many casualties they'd be taking back.
"As for your criminal records Mr. Gallagher, I can tell you right now that Solaris and Natasha have been made aware of Alex Hikari's security breach. It's as if you guys thought you really could outsmart him. It's not likely." Lunari spoke in a matter-of-fact tone. She was speaking the truth, in honesty, they had no chance from the beginning. From the time Alex had logged on to that computer, everything he did was logged for later audit.
"However, I'll tell you now that I'm not here to take you back. That's just a beneficial side effect." Lunari once again sat, pulling out a lollipop, her feet now kicking water.
"Reira. The Paladins are after the school. And anyone who attends the school. That was the boat attacking you back there. They want you DEAD. That goes for the rest of anyone who has a Qi ability of any kind."
Lunari bit her lollipop and kept going. "The Paladins are at the school, attacking in force, we've confirmed an entire division, tanks and all."
She stepped back into the VTOL, speaking instead of communicating through the mind link. Reira had a right to listen. "Solaris died because of bad genetics Matrim. It was a BLESSING that he was reborn. Don't get it twisted. Now. As for Reira. Matrim, the girl is dying, I can see it in her Qi."
This was the punchline. w00t.
"You have two choices. I can kill you both right here and now so the Paladins can dissect you to figure out how you tick...or, I give both of you a chance to live, and we go back to the school and slug out the siege. Pick. I think the choice should be obvious."
Her glare drifted over the both of them.
"Pick the first, and I will NOT hesitate to kill you both."
On that note, the massive 30mm minigun swiveled into position, and Lunari's hands and scythe started to glow purple. She meant it.
Seriously.

"So...... are you telling me..... that you caught Alex doing this serious crime of getting us broken out of a high facility prison.... and now he's going to be no better then us? Does that mean he loses his free will to leave whenever, and even control of Hikari Industries?" Matrim asked Lunari.
"Pretty much." Lunari responded.
"Reira, come on, let's go back." Matrim said with a serious voice, he couldn't help but smile. "We need to get you to help, I think this may be the only way."
OH I HAVE GOT TO SEE THIS! I AM GOING TO LAUGH FOR TWO WEEKS STRAIGHT! Not only well he have committed a serious crime, but it won't have even mattered because we were caught. Not that I don't want freedom, but we are in too deep. No amount of money could save us now. We were safer on that sinking ship with all the weapons.
weapons? No their probably sunken treasure by now. Oh well.
Matrim started to enter the very advanced technology, it was like a helicopter without the blades. He helped Reira get on, he whispered in her ear. "Don't worry, some day we'll find a way to see her."
I promise.....
But right now I have to go point and laugh at Alex!

That was a no brainer, they were most definitely caught. What would Solaris and Natasha do to punish them? Thinking about that, made her feel that maybe being killed by Lunari wasn't so bad. Her scythe looked deadly enough, at least it did in Reira's eyes. It was glowing purple..or was it just blurring?
Reira had taken a seat back in the boat. Her exhaustion taking its toll on her. At least she couldn't feel her shoulder anymore, it was quite numb. Thinking nothing more of it, she listened to what the small Lunari had told her. Paladins, they were the third party, and they were currently taking over the school and wanted everyone of them dead.
Yet more people added onto my list of people I wish to see dead. The Paladins. Why do they hate people with Qis so much...We are in way over our heads..we have to go back to the school, there is no choice and I...I hope they are alright.
Reira attempted to stand up, she wanted in that aircraft. In mid stride, she scowled as Lunari stated she was dying. "Don't be ridiculous, I'm not dying!" She looked over at her shoulder and noticed that a very small trail of blood was dripping down her arm. "I just need some stitches, is all. And I refused to be dumped in a hospital while there is shit going down at the school, I have friends back there," she said in a tone that stated she was prepared to be stubborn.
Matrim them mentioned Alex, and was all of a sudden very enthusiastic to get back to the school. All because he wanted to see Alex get stripped of his social status. She'd never understand the logic of boys...but for some reason she was picking up vibes that he didn't really like Alex. 'Why wouldn't he like him? He had done so much just to get us out of that prison...,' she thought to herself.
Although at this point in time, it was hard for her to focus on anything really. She didn't even notice Matrim help her onto the aircraft. "Don't worry, some day we'll find a way to see her." Her head was spinning, but she managed a small nod and a soft "Yeah..." In all truth, Reira was almost ready to give up on her mother.
As soon as she was on board, she took her seat. All she wanted to do was sleep.

And like that, the entire ordeal was...mostly over, the Paladins were still at the school, and the trip back was going to take some time, especially in the SkyHound. Maybe a day? It would be midday tomorrow when they got back. Oh well. It would have to be done.
The school would have to hold. It had to. Her brothers and sisters were there...
"Alright guys, come on."
Lunari grabbed Matrim's hand and helped him in. Reira also came aboard, although Lunari used a little bit of moonlight to ease her way in, the girl was seriously injured, she'd need a good visit to the infirmary later on. But for now, the Shaman would help in other ways. "Let's go Command." "Yes ma'am." The gunship lifted vertically, and in a burst of power, started back toward the school.
"Alright hun, let's get you worked on here..."
Lunari put on her glasses and placed her scythe close, leaning it against the now closed door of the VTOL. One small door was still open however to let fresh air in. "Alright, hold on..." Lunari's hands glowed, and Reira was propped into a soft bed of glowing moonlight. This was, more or less the same ritual she'd used on Sephora, but there was much less pressure this time.
Reira would live, if just because of her sheer willpower and determination to do so. Technically, Lunari's powers didn't heal physical wounds. When the body was injured, it through the balance of their Qi system out of alignment. Her method of healing involved rerouting the lines and streams of Qi, so that the body would stop breaking down. It was easier on Reira, as she'd only sustained a joint injury, and the bleeding was rather minimal.
"She'll be fine Matrim, I promise you."
