"Dad, I've talked to you before, I know I did, before and after killing Micha, I heard you I know it! Show yourself!"
Matrim walked around in the cold day trying to see ghosts. He wondered how she communicated with the dead, was there a blue transparent body like on tv? Or was it like a person who was there, but wasn't at the same time? Or maybe they only had a sound?
The only ghosts I've seen are in an old movie called star wars that my dad showed me and a Patrick Swayze movie my grandfather always fell asleep watching when he was drunk. And of course ghost stories... even I've heard a few of those...
"Huh... " He said getting a weird feeling he was being watched. He naturally activated his Qi, you could never be too sure. His father was hunted down once by a man named Jordan. Of course, his father's money made that problem go away real fast. Matt never found out the story behind that.
He turned around and noticed somebody else outside.
hope they don't think I'm crazy... trying to talk to the dead....

Reira was sitting at her desk inside her dorm room. She was loaded to the neck with homework. Definately not something she was used to having. Back at home, she was used to Simon always keeping her inline with her studies. Now that she was on her own, it was a little more of a challenge.
I betcha my mom was good with her school work..well I'm definately more like my father!
Her thumb absent mindly stroked the venetian ring on her middle finger. It never came off, not since her little talk with Mr. Aldon. He changed her whole perspective towards her mother.
"Now let's see. You divide the numerator, with the answer you get from...wait.. what!! I don't under----," Reira didn't finish her chain of thoughts, for that familiar feeling washed over her. That same familiar feeling she got when a spirit was near her. Cold and chilling.
Turning around, she came face to face with that same spirit that showed himself twice to her before. It was much calmer ever since the day it signalled for her to keep the ring. She also could see more details. So far, he had a masculine build with touseled brown hair. Everything else was shadow, and he was yet to speak to her. It would take some time for the spirit to show himself fully to her. Once he did, he would look like a normal human, only with a soft glowing haze around him.
Taking a deep breath, she stood up and said "Hello there, I'm Reira...is there something you need? Oh and thanks for the other day...with the ring.."
The spirit just smiled and motioned for her to follow him with a swift wave of his arm. She noticed that he still occassionally grasped his heart area. Nodding, she followed him. He lead her outside to the school grounds at a rapid pace.
"Hey wait! I'm a human you know!! I need to breathe!," she said almost collapsing. As if annoyed, the spirit began to push her forward. Reira gasped at the feeling, but allowed him to do it.
"Where are you taking me? Wha..that's Mat!," she said approaching him at a swift pace. Once she was at a close enough distance, the spirit stopped pushing her and allowed her to walk towards Mat at her own pace.
"H-hey Mat..um what are you doing just standing around here...," Reira said, trying to hide her chilled breath that was escaping her mouth. She decided it was best to keep quiet about the brown haired spirit that stood beside her and stared intently at Mat.

"Oh, Reira, hey..." Matrim said looking around.
Good she's the only one who saw me.
"Umm, I was trying to do what you can do.... you know.... talk to spirits... well. I was trying to get a hold of one in particular, but I suppose that can wait. How have you been?" Matt asked, noticing the ring around her finger but not making mention of it.
She's still wearing the ring... for some reason that makes me feel great... I can't explain it... I'm just happy to see her with the ring.
Matrim was wearing a white t-shirt, his brown jacket with white fur-like lining, and for once he was wearing shoes. The black Chuck's were a pair of his that he really liked wearing. He looked into Reira's eyes waiting to hear her response. He had some questions for her. Just a few of them really. Mostly about ghosts, but there was something else he wanted to ask her.

Reira raised her eyebrow at him when he told her of how he was trying to make contact with the dead. She didn't really understand why someone would want to mingle with those that have risen beyond the grave, at least not after all her experiences with ghosts and demons alike.
"If you wanted to talk to spirits, wouldn't it be better to use a quija board? " she asked with a slight incline of her head. "On second thought, maybe you shouldn't...it can get dangerous sometimes. You never know what kind of spirits you could be talking to....it's hard to get a particular one."
Reira tried her hardest to keep eye contact with Matrim, but every now and again she would look to the spirit that was standing beside her. It was hard not to notice how it just stood there all trance like.
She silently cursed herself for not grabbing a sweater to put over her white band t-shirt. Wearing a black plaid mini skirt and knee high converse wasn't helping with keeping her warm.
"I don't really offer this to people...but if its you, I guess I can make an exception....I could probably find this particular spirit of yours.."

"Well.... I'm trying to get a hold of my dad. I'd talked to him before... at least I'm sure I have... after he had died, I mean. Well, I wanted to make sure that was him, and there was one question in particular that needs answering. One that nobody else I know can answer...."
What is the significance of five years.... same time my dad died and I end up alone is the same time the man who was supposed to raise me went missing. Either somebody is trying to keep us apart, or there is a huge coincidence going on.
Matrim scratched the back of his head, "So how does your power work... is there like a ritual or... can you see ghosts... hear them...." Matrim looked around real quick, "Are they like... all around us or something?"
After all, there are a lot more dead then there are alive... if they all are on earth... wouldn't they take up most of the space?
Matrim would get answers with any luck, and then later on he could ask her another question. A much more important question as far as he was concerned.

How could she be so blind, of course the spirit he would want to make contact with was his father. She knew this was going to be a delicate subjuct, so she was going to have to choose her words wisely...she could only imagine what he was feeling right now.
"I'll try my best to find him for you...I know how important it must be."
Reira was getting annoyed at the spirit that didn't go away, even though it made no attempt at doing...well anything. It was in a big rush to get her here, and now it was just standing there. Ignoring it, she answered his next question.
"Actually I really don't know how my power works. Spirits just randomly show themselves to me. I can also hear them and feel them physically....they probably are all around us, but they just havn't chosen to show themselves to me."
I'm sure when my power is more developed, I will be able to search out a spirit, instead of waiting for one to show itself to me...but for now, I'm going to have to rely on the good ol Quija board. ...hopefully nothing bad will happen again..
"There's a spirit beside me right now, so don't be alarmed if you get a sudden chill on your neck," she said with a laugh. "Although I'm no so sure why it's here exactly..but it seems harmless enough, its the same one I saw the first day I met you."

"Can you.... see them?" Matrim was beyond curious now. He was far past the normal questions he'd ask Ms. Cleo or some psychic. This was legit Qi. He felt it, not the cold, but the Qi. His was almost always ready to go at any time. In this school you couldn't be too prepared for a bullet or a fist, afterall.
"Actually I really don't know how my power works. Spirits just randomly show themselves to me. I can also hear them and feel them physically....they probably are all around us, but they just havn't chosen to show themselves to me."
Ahh, so she can see them and feel them..... weird.... and only sometimes then... only if they are making the connection?
Matrim let out a sigh as he learned more about her power. It was a rare power to say the least, nothing Matrim had heard before. Developing a whole new sense out of Qi was a feat all it's own. Matrim was always open to attack from psychic or spiritual attacks. He could only prevent the physical based ones. If he had a weakness, Reira might unmask one of them if they should ever fight.
"There's a spirit beside me right now, so don't be alarmed if you get a sudden chill on your neck. Although I'm no so sure why it's here exactly..but it seems harmless enough, its the same one I saw the first day I met you."
Weird.... wonder what that spirit looks like.... can it hear me.... why is it being so persistent
Matrim turned to each side of Reira and spoke up, "Uhm.... hello spirit," He said wondering if it could hear him. "What does this particular spirit look like? Maybe I know who it is..."
Hopefully it isn't Micha.

She smiled and nodded. "Yep I can see them..at first they appear to me as shadows, but then after a while, I can make out features...it also takes a while for them to talk to. It's probably because my Qi isn't very developed yet."
Wow now that I think about it...I wonder what I will be capable of in the future years, when my power is completely developed. Ughh..how scary..I can only think of all the possibilities.
"Uhm.... hello spirit."
Reira watched as Matrim talked to the spirit on the right side of her. It was a little amusing when he spoke to air on her left side. She could only think of what it would look like to others.
More importantly, she watched at the spirit waved in response to Matrim. Ignoring the spirit once more, she focused on Matrim. "It waved."
"What does this particular spirit look like? Maybe I know who it is..."
"Good question. I can only tell that it's male, from the way it's body is built, how tall he is, and that it has brown hair and always clutches its chest."
Suddenly she felt the spirt clasp its hand around her arm. Turning to look at it, her jaw dropped. She was stunned momentarily...for now the spirit had showed itself to her completely.
"Well it's about time," she said to the spirit, then faced Matrim. "I can see it fully now. It appears to be caucasian, navy shirt with a white un-buttoned blouse ontop of it...it appears to be in its mid 20's maybe. It has very nice eyes...kind..but they are sad....I fell sorry for it..err him.."
I guess I should be saying he, instead of it, but I prefer it, seeing as how the spirit is not physically here, therefor cannot be called a him...wow I'm confusing myself..

Matrim heard it, and he had to be sure. If he was right there is no such thing as coincidence. He got very serious, very fast.
"His nose...." Matrim said almost saying the words without any air in his lungs, sounding a little too serious, like an actor attempting to upstage everyone else with his intensity, "Is his nose broken in places, with a crook near the bridge.... Like that old actor.... Owen Wilson or whatever his name was...."
Dad...... you've got to be kidding me. Even in death you feel like following me around and seeing what I'm up to? It's been five years, and your still around? Honestly.... and why are you so upset about the damn ring, I gave it to it's rightful owner.... unless.....
"If it does, ask it where 'the right one' is. It'll know what I'm talking about." Matrim said this knowing it would lead to Samara Marino. Matt didn't want to bring those feelings back for Reira, nor get her hopes up in case she might find her self feeling unexpectedly hopeful.
I'll protect from those feelings best I can until I'm 100% certain..... Because I'm certain of one thing now... Luke and Samara weren't meant for each other... they weren't. No matter how you roll the dice, Reira and I wouldn't exist, I believe me and her might be more compatible then my dad and her mom were.
of course.... my chances are only 0.8%.... lot better then with most girls.

"Is his nose broken in places, with a crook near the bridge.... Like that old actor.... Owen Wilson or whatever his name was...."
Reira looked at Matrim quizzically. Why on earth did he want to know what the things nose looked like. Averting her gaze back to the spirit, who looked very amused, she said to it "Come over here and bend down to my height so I can see your nose," she said holding back a laugh.
This spirit did so without resistance. Letting out a small 'hmmm' as she studied the nose. She laughed at its nose. It was exactly like Matrim described it.
"The nose has everything you described, what does that mean...oh wait! Could it.." "If it does, ask it where 'the right one' is. It'll know what I'm talking about."
Reira suddenly didn't feel like laughing anymore. She knew who the spirit was now. It couldn't have been coincidence. The school, so many people that were connected to her mother, and now staring at Luke's ghost. He was her mother's fist love, she still loved him...but staring a Luke now frightened her, for this man could have very well been her step-father had things gone differently.
Stepping back away from the spirit, she ended up beside Matrim, just knicking his shoulder with hers. "Where..where is the right one," she asked in the calmest voice she could muster.
The ghost of Luke looked sad when she asked the question. I wish you could see him Mat. If anything, you should be able to see your father again..not me. Luke seemed to open his mouth to talk, Reira winced, knowing very well what the answer could be.
(ooc: If you want, you could probably NPC with Luke's ghost, to since its your character hehe...cause I have no idea how to act him lol. But yay! Luke is ..kinda back! I missed him.)

(ooc: I'm going to RP both of them, i'll seperate them with a line of dashes or something....)
Luke Spoke with a certain bit of sadness he had felt for a long time.
"My son.... he killed.... didn't he.... he wasn't supposed to be a killer..... " Luke was becoming distracted. He wasn't sure if he could get his message across or not. The knowledge he had now, he knew it wouldn't be right to give it all, but he could give some. "Tell him nothing of that..... tell him.... hiding.... things got dangerous.... the right one had to protect the things that mattered most.... if he wishes to find the right one..... he needs to come see me..... she came to see me..... she left a clue..... she left a clue with me......"
Hopefully that was enough for his son to understand. Afterall, he wasn't always able to figure these things out, but Luke was running out of time. He had a lot of will power, but it was time. He had held on for five years following Matrim trying to tell him something. He had to tell him now.
"Listen girl..... Jordan is coming..... don't know if you know Jordan..... he's my murderer..... my son's a killer now..... I don't want him to kill Jordan...... you have to keep this a secret..... but Jordan's coming for him..... It's only a matter of time..... before Jordan get's there..... please.... protect my son.... don't let him kill again.... not in cold blood..... "
His message was said, and he clutched his chest. He was heart broken. His son had killed, he had been tricked into it, but still it happened. He felt the weight of his chest lift as he said his message. "Watch over him..... please...."
It was time..... it was his time.... he couldn't hold on any longer. And he began to fade away, disapearing. Moving on some called it, he thought to himself.
Maybe.... just maybe my son will have the love I had lost.... maybe he can save Samara..... maybe Reira can save Matrim.... maybe Jordan.... no... Jordan will never change....... and that..... that is the real tragedy.....
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
"Well! whats he saying?" Matrim said watching anxiously wondering what his father was saying. His father was always talking on and on, it probably took him forever to spit out his point. Probably going on about how music in the land of the dead sucked or something like that.
God forbid he start talking about stories of me as a child. That would really be embarrasing.

Reira held her breath as she listened to Luke talk. It seemed like it was hard for him to speak, she had to stuggle to hear his words and to understand the meaning behind them. His voice was sad, and full of a certain edge to it, almost as if he was carrying a heavy burden. Hearing his tone, made Reira want to cry.
"My son.... he killed.... didn't he.... he wasn't supposed to be a killer..... " "I'm sure...he had a good...reason.," Reira responded finally taking a breath, but Luke continued. His words struck Reira with a soft blow. It was something she wanted to know, but at the same time could go without. She wasn't stupid, she could guess it had something to do with her mother...Mr. A guessed something along similar lines as well.
Her insides felt like crumbling. She left a clue? Staring at the ground, she put a hand on her forehead and squeezed, urging herself not to get emotional.
Reira's head snapped back up and she stared at Luke with wide eyes when he told her about Jordan coming back. She didn't really know who Jordan was, but he was obviously dangerous. Now she was scared, but also very determined to help Luke out.
"Watch over him..... please...." "I promise," she said softly, knowing his time was up. "Take care...and thank you." Smiling ever so slightly, she watched him ascend. It was like watching him die. When he was gone, she sighed heavily and felt a single tear roll down her cheek. She quickly wiped it away and got mad at herself for crying.
"Well! what's he saying?" Came Matrim's voice.
Taking a deep breath she told him the things Luke wanted him to hear and kept the things he didn't want him to hear a secret.
"He said that the one is hiding because things got dangerous and it was to protect the ones that mattered most. He said that if you want to find the one, you have to go and see him, because the one left him a clue....and..uh..that's all. He's in heaven now.."
Jordan is coming...if he is coming here, I need to get Matrim out of here...but how can I do that...what do I do...what should I do...mom..what should I do?
"I don't know what he meant about going to see him."

"She went to see him then....." Matrim said. "So either she knew came by before he died..... which would have been over five years ago... there is no way thats possible..."
Matrim thought about it for awhile trying to grasp what his father was saying. He knelt down to the ground and put his hand oh his forehead.
What do you mean damnit..... she left a clue with you? You're dead pops.... unless you mean....
"She visited his grave.... she must have found out and wanted to visit his grave. She probably left a clue there." Matrim thought about it and decided he knew what it might be, "She probably.... probably left something thinking I would find it. Somehow... somehow I have to get out of here and to england....."
Matrim thought of it, and he could only think of one solution, "Doc...."
Matrim shot up and turned towards the history building wondering if he could trust the Doc, or if he should trick the Doc. Of course, the Doc was too smart.. he'd figure it out in a matter of seconds... he'd have to be straight up with him. Remembering his other question he turned to Reira and scratched the back of his head nervously.
"Umm.... also.... I was wondering. Since... you know, you don't have one and all... maybe you would, I dont know..." Matrim was definitely not great with the smooth talking, but he tried, "Go out or something?"
Or something..... yeah your a prize alright. Chances are 0.001% now....
Matrim let out a short nervous laugh, it wasn't an annoying laugh at all, just a normal heh, heh, heh, type of deal.
And what the hell did she promise my dad? Oh well... not important.

"If we are talking about my mother, then I'm going to England with you!," Reira said with finality. There was no way he could change her mind, or talk her out of it. They were talking about a clue to where her mother might be! She had to be there, had to see it for herself.
Besides if I go with him, I can watch out for him..protect him to the best of my ability. It was a promise to Luke. I mean..I know I don't know Luke, but somehow, it's the least I can do...and if we are in England, then hopefully we can avoid Jordan.
"Umm.... also.... I was wondering. Since... you know, you don't have one and all... maybe you would, I dont know...Go out or something?"
Reira just stared at him blankly for a moment and then burst out in laughter. She thought it was cute how he fumbled for his words, especially seeing as how he was only talking to her. She didn't think she was that intimidating. It wasn't a mean laugh, it was a friendly amusing sort of laugh.
"Hmm okay, you can take me to a cool place in England, I've always wanted to visit England," she said with a smile and grabbed his hand, dragging him forward.
I feel very close to him right now and we will only get closer as time goes by. It's definately not a coincidence that I found you. This was meant to happen and I'm glad it did.
"So, how are we going to get to England?" she asked with a grin? It was a prison school..getting permission to leave wasn't going to be easy, unless there was an alternative.

She laughed. She laughed pretty hard, actually.
Damnit..... and there goes that idea.
Matrim hung his head in utter failure, that is until he heard wht she said next.
"Hmm okay, you can take me to a cool place in England, I've always wanted to visit England,"
She said yes..... she said yes?
Yes.... she said yes.... wait... England... oh, right. I haven't been to england since.... since he died.... I visited him once or twice, but I haven't been there in forever. There isn't much we could do.... especially if I get the Doctor to take me..... us.
She grabbed Matrim's hand and dragged him forward, it didn't seem like she knew where they were going, but she must have been pretty anxious to get there. Matrim decided to let her no where to go.
"There's a man... at least I'm thinking he's a man. Sometimes he seems like something else, but, he has this machine you see, he's called the Doctor. He's the history teacher. I think he might be able to help us, but we shouldn't tell him everything, just that you knew my father and we want to go visit his grave, I doubt we'll be able to do anything else in England, but if we have a chance to, I promise to show you a few cool sites."
Matrim pointed towards the history building, "Head that way," Matrim and his girlfriend. He liked that word, girlfriend. He then decided to pick up the pace, grabbing her hand so that she was no longer pulling him and just like that, they were holding hands.
